I wasn't too sure what to expect when I first bought this game. I'm not the really a LOTR fan and this game wasn't on my radar until I read all of the positive reviews on it. I knew it had to be good once the game of the year edition came out so I gave it a shot. The game was better than I expected. I'm happy with my purchase. Got it for a great price too.

When I first purchase the game, I was very curious about the gameplay mechanics. After a few minutes, I easily picked up the controls, mirroring those of Assassin's Creed. Overall, the game is tons of fun, allowing you to battle hordes or Uruk if you dare or sneak around and slowly work your way through the story.

The Game of the Year Edition of Shadow of Mordor comes with all of the DLC so you are getting plenty of content well worth your money. As for the game itself, it is great! If you have previously played and enjoyed the Batman: Arkham games and the Assassin's Creed games, then you will probably like this game. Its gameplay elements are a great mix of these other two game franchises' game mechanics.However, the developers of this game have added their own unique take as well as plenty of in-depth RPG elements, If you are a fan of the Lord of the Rings films and universe, then this is a "must-buy". Overall, the gameplay is fun, there's tons of content, and the graphics are very enjoyable.

If your into LOTR at all this game is a must. Tons of orc killing and I mean tons. Graphics are awesome. If you pick this up make sure you get this version the game of the year one. It comes with all the extras for free. It is a decently long game from what I can tell only logged a few hours so far. Grab it and don't looks back.

This game is pretty good. The nemesis system is awesome and it's just fun to play.

I thought the price was very good, and the game was better than I expected.

This really is a must have for any LoTR fan or fan of the genre. It has an interesting progression system with the orc leaders you fight and I find the quests to be interesting (if a tad bit repetitive). Cut scenes are excellent and the story is interesting. One of my favorite games since the X1 released.

This game goes above and beyond in almost every detail. Graphic quality is great, gameplay (although can get tiresome after trying to kill the same orc captains for the 30th time) is really well done, and the voice acting is phenomenal. All in all this was one of the best video games I've played all year.

Excellent graphics. Great Story line. Plenty of action

If you played the original version of this game (non-GOTY) and just wanted to play the DLC because you had long sold it, think again, you do not get to continue where you left off with your save game because this is considered a whole different game by your game system. Other than that this is AMAZING and was my favorite game that came out in 2014.

good graphics, good story, good enemies and hard game play

Usually I would rent this type of game and power through it, but for 30 bucks and being gamers club unlocked I decided to buy it. Plus it's GotY version. Turns out that there's lots to do and you can out a lot of hours into this game. It's basically assassin's Creed in middle earth's mordor. Not necessarily a bad thing.

WB games has delivered with this Lord of the Rings Game. A fine addition to the next gen consoles. I am enjoying leveling up and it doesn't feel like a huge grind. I am extremely satisfied with this game.Graphics and voice acting are fantastic.

I played this game on the PS3, and I had such a great time with it I had to purchase the GOTY edition when it came out for current gen systems. The downloadable missions are very fun. If you like the Batman games, you'll love this one too.

I purchased shadow of Mordor as a fan of middle earth. I was not disappointed. The story is excellent, the gameplay is great, and the RPG part of the game is sophisticated. I love that the bosses get better if they beat you. And I also like that they talk trash to you every time they meet you after you lose to them. You can also avenge your friends online who have been beaten by a boss. And lots of extra levels to do in Game of the Year edition. Probably played about 50 hours before beating the game. Loved every minute of it.

This is a fantastic game for anyone who loves to play role olaying games.God graphics,story,combat,content. Great price.
