This was a very fun game. It's totally worth picking up now that its not full price anymore. Good mesh of mele and stealth gameplay. Lots of side missions, but not enough to make them overwhelming. It was fresh to me in a genre that's gotten a bit stale.

If you like the Assassin's Creed series then you will enjoy the gameplay. The coolest thing about this game, besides being set in Middle Earth, is that your death in the game has repercussions as the enemies grow more powerful each time they kill you.

The first half of the game is a bit repetitive. Once the second half of the game starts, with a new location, the nemisis system opens up and changes everything. The game then becomes a chess match of violence. Excellent blend of action and strategy.

I feel like Shadow of Mordor came and went in the blink of an eye when it was released this past fall. I just assumed it was another button masher like the old Lord of The Rings games back on the PS2. It wasn't until I saw it go on sale for less than $20 that I took notice and finally read some reviews. All I can say is "WOW".... this game is great and unlike anything I've played before (despite it's obvious similarities to Batman and Assassin's Creed). So far I've spent 13+ hours stealthly fighting my way through Middle-Earth and am really digging the whole Orc Army system. It makes this game as much about strategy as it does action. I suggest googling "Tips For Playing Shadow of Mordor" before starting. There are a ton of articles by other gamers who offer up some good advice on how to get the most out of this game. Great graphics. Interesting story. Solid controls. Worth every penny.

This game has been out for a long time but if your looking for a game for a low price please pick this one up... very fun.. you can get thought the whole game in about 12 hrs or so.. but there will always be things to fight and kill after the game is over

This is definitely one of the best games on PS4 the graphics are amazing they used a lot of ps4 features like using the speaker on the controller when you are walking through grass. The combat is as smooth as Batman Arkham series but much more satisfying!

But this game blew me away. It is really well made and really entertaining. The combat system is simple but it just works really well. I would recommend this to anyone looking for a great game, it doesn't matter if you like Lord of the Rings or not.

So much fun, combat is a blast and the "nemesis system" makes it a very unique. Nothing like wrecking orcs only to clash weapons with a scarred captain you thought was dead. Enemies have personality so taking them down is more fun.

I've bought this a total of 2 timed. Smooth fighting and fun upgrades. The nemesis system is one of the most unique things I've seen in w game. I'd love a new game or a batman version of it.

This game is excellent. Take the Far Cry formula of unlocking towers to access more of the map and open world quests, and add in some Mordor and you have this fantastic action adventure game. I've had hours of fun with it.

The game has great graphics and the combat moves become very involved as your level increases. Some of the combat becomes a little similar at times but it is still a very enjoyable game

Straight and simple: I love this game. It's a perfect mix of Assassin's Creed and Batman. Buy this game. Stop reading this review and buy this game. Don't worry so much about the GOTY edition; the DLC isn't too great.

Shadow of Mordor combines elements from my favorite games into a seamlessly executed slaughterfest. This game has hours of replay value. Pick this game up if you are looking for a fun moderately challenging game.

Who would have thought grabbing elements from the Batman series and combining them with LOTR would result in a great game. If only they had a greater variety in the game. MUST PLAY!

A fun, open-world game where the spirit and darker aspects of Middle Earth are put into your hands. Excellent graphics, voice-acting, and engine that serves the main plot with cut scenes and so forth.

Great storyline and great gameplay. If you like the feel of Assassin's Creed it has very similar gameplay. Plus it is a Lord of the Rings game. Overall great game and very fun and challenging.

This is a solid action game with RPG elements, but it is so much a cross between the Arkham and Assassin's Creed series' it's hard to ignore.

my nephew loved the game and still plays it after a week, so it must be pretty good. he enjoys the story line and the graphics.

Great story for lotr fans, amazing details, the use of the ds4 is amazing and is the best game of the saga so far hi recomend it
