Playing through the initial stages of "story mode" I was floored by the graphics (PC) story-telling and sandbox mechanics. The Nemesis system is wonderful. If a captain beats you he ranks up and then overthrows another captain in Sauron's army. Also love the "interrogation system", while in "wraith mode" you can drain and interrogate a henchman which helps reveal the identity of someone on Sauron's army's captain "ladder". Wonderful design!

Great visuals. Goes into the lotr lore and explains a few things not explained in the books. Overall fantastic game

Lots of fun, if you like Batman Arkham games and Assassin's Creed, you'll enjoy this hybrid offering set in Middle Earth. It's very open world and sandboxy, and does a bit of extra flavor by adding in a Nemesis system where Orcs actually climb a hierarchy that changes based on your actions. Definitely a good start to a new franchise, check it out if you're into hack n slash 3rd person games, and use an Xbox Controller if you have one.

Excellent gameplay and combat system, especially with the "nemesis" factor. Provided 40+ hours of gameplay before it started to become repetitive, at which point I easily finished the remaining (linear) storyline.

Does a LOTR game get better than this? It certainly hasn't yet. If you need you Lord of the Rings fix while you are waiting for the newest hobbit, this will fulfill all your needs.

Its a great Arkham Creed style game with good production values. The game ends abruptly and the lack of content really doesn't justify a $60 purchase. Would be great to see the title expanded upon in a sequel.

At first I thought this was going to be tough game to play on a pc version very the ps3 then loved the added control over the different moves.

I really love the Hobbit. The movie came out at Christmas. I wanted to play the game. It has a programming error I guess. What a bummer.
