Great Follow Up to Shadow of Mordor

The nemesis program definitely makes battles with war chiefs far more challenging. I went in expecting it to be a walk in the park but wow, it can get frustrating trying to kill some of the higher ups. They adapt to your strategy so you have to come up with a new one and it can be pretty hard to do when you're used to fighting a certain way. 9/10

Anyone who played Shadow of Mordor doesn’t need me to tell you how epic this series is, but I’m going to tell you, and anyone not in the know, anyway. Played it on he PSPro and the 4k is stunning. Gameplay/framerates are smooth, and the sandbox style lends to endless hours of quality Orc hunting. Why are you still reading? Go get this game, bruh!

But fair warning! it is really hard. Have patience and don't feel obligated to start from the beginning. The monsters learn from killing you and get stronger and stronger. After a point, it just becomes overwhelming. Learn from your mistakes, restart and you will do yourself a favor and then can really enjoy the game.

If you played the first game, this is really just more of the same, but expanded, more complicated, and with lots of new features. Similar to the first, you gain your abilities through playing, but now you're in much more complex environments, and there are a lot more dynamics to the enemies. You really need to build up a lot of your abilities first -- in hard mode -- before you try consistently taking down the captains. Also, now, you get the ability to earn and find new weapons/clothes (there are 5 upgradeable features to your character) that can also have these gem add-on things for enhanced abilities like better XP gain or quicker health recovery and such. It definitely adds a nice depth to let you customize what kind of play style you want to have with your character. If you always wanna run in head first, you probably want more and faster health regen, but also some XP boosting so you can get new powers quicker in the skill tree. The story is entertaining, but immediately non-sensical and very contrived -- why even trust the spider lady to begin with!?!? No justification. But it definitely doesn't detract from the fun. It's a big big big world and earning the fast travel towers is definitely necessary, but you'll still find yourself running around a lot, there really is a TON of stuff to collect and all that, but you could argue that after you make it through the 2nd city, you're probably gonna start noticing a lot of repeating tasks. But that being said, there seems to be a good handful of different abilities and upgrades, so the play style is kinda complex and you need to adjust for the situations or you're gonna die and restart from a tower a lot. Playing on hard difficulty, only played for less than 12 total hours.

I love this game. Been playing as much as I can. There are some changes to the mechanics, but nothing is worth a complaint. The character upgrades can be game changing, graphics are amazing, and now we can change and upgrade Talions gear and armor as you progress. Nice successor to Shadow of Mordor!

Middle Earth: Shadow of War, somehow vastly improved upon the previous, near flawless game, Middle Earth: Shadow of Mordor. I've sunk way too many hours into the previous game, in absolute awe of the depth, mechanics, and world. I find myself doing the same with ME: Shadow of War. Technologically improved, as well as deeper lore, even more in depth combat system, and a story that continues to pull me in. This game didn't need to improve upon an already incredible predecessor, but it continues to redefine and elevate with every new adventure into Middle Earth.

I love this game so much. It constantly keeps you busy and the nemesis system is so intricate and blows me away how enemies grow stronger and their strategies change every time you face them. Highly recommend if you want a fun game to keep you busy for hours.

GOTY. Continuing the story from Shadow of Mordor, you join Talion and Celebrimbor in the war against Sauron and the orks. Battles have increased in size geometrically and now you wage full on sieges against the bastions of Mordor. Recruit your ork army!

I am a big fan of LoTR movies and this game is an absolute must have for any LoTR fan. The game-play is addicting and entertaining. I highly enjoyed Shadows of Mordor and think Shadows of War is even better. I absolutely love slaying orcs!

If you liked the first Middle Earth, you will definitely like this game. The fighting is smoother and there are a lot of different missions to complete. The ending is a little bit of a grind but the overall game is still a lot of fun.

Love how they gave the main character some really awesome abilities that make it that much better than the first game. Also the story is such a deep and dark path to the light of the matter. Love this game! Can't talk enough about it.

For this 2nd installment of the Lord of the rings shadow of war so far this game is really good especially with the nemesis system which makes the Ai's more smarter the only problem I have with this game is that they should've made it online and offline coop that's why I gave it a 4 out of 5 stars but overall the game is great I highly recommend it.

The gameplay is similar to the original, but the storyline is fantastic, and the additional features are more than an added bonus. Not to mention that sometimes it's just nice to slice off the head of an Orc in slo-motion!
