Can’t have a communication failure like this when you are out camping etc. The only thing that worked was the light. I have other Midland item. They all are great. This one is not good. Maybe if the made this in in a 40 watt Base Camp. Best Buy get 5 stars, Midland gets no stars and two thumbs down.

Radio range in town was 2+ miles. haven;t tried it over water or in the country. radio stays on at our house,I plug it in every week or so, and it stays full. The charging crank works okay I've charged my mp3 player with it. Oh yeah, and the LED flashlight is very bright.

This new unit has a wide range on AM and FM.Don't have to retune when switching from band to band. Great walkie-talkie ! I tend to break telescoping antennas. I like this SOLID antenna ! Sturdy handle,clear audio,nice shoulder strap. Thank you for keeping us safe with these fine products !.
