Simple premise, nice surprise

One of the problems I have with a "surprise" toy like that, though, is that if you try to collect them, you never know what you're going to get and typically wind up with multiples of a single character that you really cannot do anything with. Luckily, this is not something my daughter consistently wants. As a one-time thing, it is a pretty novel gift. Was also relatively inexpensive, so that helps.
