This movie shows the history of BLACK VETERAN'S serving their COUNTRY and when this BLACK VETERAN see's the person who BETRAYED him and the other BLACK VETERAN'S he KILL'S him when he recognized the TRAITOR..

This film was a great film to watch. It had action, drama, and suspense. and a well played out plot.

If this same exact movie been directed by Ron Howard or Mel Gibson people would’ve deemed it Oscar worthy! They’re just upset that a black director was responsible for such an epic movie!! Please ignore the negative reviews for this film. This was an excellent film by an excellent director. The story was perfect and the action scenes were great. The only flaw the movie had was the acting by the main characters. Derek Luke and Omar Benson Miller were terrible! Otherwise, this was a very good movie!!

It was one of the most amazing movies I've ever seen. I have the original book by James McBride. With him as author and Spike Lee involved, what else could it be but great. Very realistic, a little hard to look at at times, but war is not easy to look at either. The scenery, the little boy, the main character!!!!!! I totally agree with the other reviewer, the ending was incredible. I cried and sobbed it was so very touching. I have been waiting since the day I saw the movie for it to come out on DVD and will buy one of the first copies. I talked about this movie to everyone and recommended that they see it. I'm sure no one will be disappointed. 5 is not a high enough rating. I would give it a 10!

This has to be Mr Lee's best movie since Malcome X. It has everything a great movie should have in it, awsome plot, great directing, really good acting, it was funny, sadning, it was hard to watch at times and it really made me think. The war scenes are definately on par with Saving Private Ryan and Platoon. I was so moved by this movie that it took me almost to the extreme of every emotion, and the end of the movie is probably one of the best endings I've ever seen.

This was a very informative, and historical movie about the Buffalo Soldiers in Italy. My husband and I both thought it was a great sleeper movie!! I think it is an awesome movie that everyone should see.

I was not bored for a second during this movie. The actors did amazing character work - the little boy was one of the best parts of the movie - and the cinematography was brilliant. This is, hands down, Spike Lee's best film. I would definitely recommend buying it!

I really don't understand how people can not like this movie. I cried, I laughed, I was angry. Totally recommend watching this movie.

This could've been a good movie had Spike Lee not done it. He's bad about screwing up his own movies. Just like in 25th Hour, he goes off on these almost angry racial tangents that are just pointlessly thrown into the film and deviate from the plot. Because of that, this movie drones on for an hour more than it should have. The plot bounces you in five different directions that have no connection, then it just ends, rather patheticly! This was a great book and would've made a great movie had someone else done it. If I were the author, I'd be pretty upset. Spike Lee's interpretation of this story is just silly and pointless. I DON'T recommend this terrible movie! I feel like I just wasted 2 hrs. and 45 min. of my life!

i was hooked from start to finish. i was not bored watching any scene. i laughed then cried at some scene. this is one the best movies I've watch thus far.

This movie would have been better if some one else did it. Spike Lee has a bad habit of going off on racial tangents that have nothing to do with the movie. It skips around too much, but keeps your interest just enough so you'll stick it out to see what happens, only to be let down at the end. Don't get me wrong, I like a couple of his movies, but this isn't one of them. My wife and I are movie buffs, and we both hated it. I say don't bother, there's plenty of other war movies out there much better than this.

i have to say this is one of the worst movies i have ever seen, i put it up their with house of a thousand corpses, man it was bad i could only stand to watch it for 50 grueling minutes before i realize i could be doing something better like cleaning out my gutters and i hate doing that

This is by far, the worst movie that I've almost seen in a very very long time. I feel ripped off having bought this poor excuse for a movie directed by useless Spike Lee. I turned if off way too late.

This movie didn't come close to meeting expectations. The movie wasn't what I expected from viewing the trailer. Not a good movie.
