This film got a lot of flack from fans NOT used to a real movie that isn't all explosions and violence -- in other words, the DBZ crowd! If you've had siblings, you can relate to this film. Only-children may have an issue and not get this film. If you like science fiction issues and can deal with alternate realities and timelines, you'll like this film, too. It's a bit of a "head game" film but there is a point to this film about uncomfortable changes and accepting new roles in life. I won't give away the ending but let's say it's nice to have a film where the leads aren't Mary Sue's/Gary Sue's for a change. There was a progression in this film and a genuine change in the leads...

Mirai is another wonderful from Mamoru Hosoda. Our family own most of them: The Girl Who Leapt Through Time (2006), Summer Wars (2009), Wolf Children (2012), and The Boy and the Beast (2015). These are all wonderful stories that often don't really have a good - bad conflicts. Mirai and her brother are in conflict, normal brother-sister conflict. It is fun, exciting, and touching to see their story: the whole family's story grow into understanding.

Love to this film about a spoiled papered kid who feels neglected when his parents have a new baby. The story is told with a lot of imagination and emotion. The animation is beautiful. especially the part where a character runs through a cornfield at sunset. The animation and art is breathtaking.

Good movie with a story that follows a young boy's family with the new arrival of his baby sister. His parents time is more focused with the baby than him. With him imagination he comes to open up and accepts his sister thru deep experiences an only child will have to deal with when a new sibling is added to the family.

Good family life anime. Brother initially upset by new sister, Runs thru adventures with his sister as an older version of herself. A bit unusual.

This was so amazing. The story is about a very young boy and also hisparents, coming to terms with a new baby in the family. The main character, the boy, learns to accept all of the chances thru meeting future and past versions of his family. It is a great family movie.

Nice heartwarming story for the whole family evdn comes with digital. I hope more anime comes with digital copy in the future

I stayed away from MIRAI trailers at all cost and got the DVD as a gift. It's definitely one of a kind, and I would say, a classic masterpiece. The art, to music, to the interwoven storyline was priceless. Pure magic!

Quite the unexpected family story really definitely loved how the father who wrote a lot of the story told it based off of his own personal life. It's a good watch for sure!

Another great movie by Mamoru Hosoda. The Oscar nominated film is a joy to watch, even tho it doesn't stand up to the Girl Who Leapt Through Time, it's still a fun movie.

This film does an amazing job at telling its story. Its amazing visuals and fluid story telling make this oscar nominated animated film a must own and instant classic.

Not our favorite, studio ghibli has better stuff in my opinion

A delightful anime vision of sibling rivalry that gets a twist when the younger sister becomes the mentor for her older brother.

Wasn't sure what to expect. Animation is great and soundtrack is spot on. Don't go in with any expectations and you'll enjoy it.
