Initially it worked. Now it just makes a grinding noise.

Still works as good as the day I bought it. I'm writing this review about 2 years later! Yes, it has jammed but that's because I put too much stuff inside. My fault, duh! I was able to un-jam the device and it's up-and-running like nothing ever happened. Credit cards are chewed up with no problem, too!

Good product with low price. Easy to operate, and the cutting speed is fast.

Indeed this does shut down when it's over used and it doesn't shred too many sheets at one time and it does jam when you do but...for a once in a while use and for the price...it's perfect. I only need to shred once or twice a month. It's compact and stores easily because it's super small. I had one before, lost it in a move and rebought it...it's a good buy!

This Portable Shredder is just great for me, small and power full, I use it everyday and doesn't fail one single sheet of paper, Very affordable and safe a lot of space in my office.

This portable shredder is easy to use. Simply attached it to a box or bin and started shredding confidential documents. It took 6 to 8 sheets without issue. It is a good buy.

I don't shred documents that often, but I needed one so I could securely get rid of some credit card bills, bank statements, etc. I bought this one because it was cheap. It is perfectly adequate for my needs, but I have a few minor complaints. First, the shredder itself is too big to fit on top of small trash cans, but the extendable "arm" is too short to fit on larger ones. Second, it's designed to fit on rectangular trash cans, so if you have a round one like I do, the best you can do is sort of set it at an awkward angle on top of it. Thankfully, I shred so infrequently that these small inconveniences don't really bother me, and it works as advertised otherwise (6 sheets of paper at a time, or 1 credit card). I do like that the shredder is small enough that once I'm done, I can wrap the power cord around the unit and put it away somewhere. So if you're also an infrequent shredder that doesn't plan on having this thing permanently set up on a trash can, this is a great option.

It is small, light and do the job, exactly what I was looking for. However it is little inconvenient because it needs to be use on top of trash can or something that is perfect size to hold up the shredder. That's why I gave 4star....

Great shredder for personal or home office use - or even travel! Put it on your shelf and forget about it until you need to shred mail or personal docs. All you need is a box or wastepaper basket to catch the results - I looked for this portable type for about a year to replace an much older unit and couldn't find one - I snagged this as soon as I saw it here, and have no regrets.

Great document shredder for the price. Does exactly what it is supposed to do. Conveniently fits over any average sized paper waste bin.

I bought this because of the price and I was surprise on how well this shredder works!! This is a good shredder for everyday minimal use.

Easy to use. Light weight and shreds multiple files at once

For the price, this shredder does what it says and is perfect for at home use. I needed something that would shred mail, bills, etc containing personal information that I didn't want going into the trash. It's simple to use.

it shreds paper fine but i it jams sometimes. its portable and easy to carry around

After having looked at many shredders and finding most just too expensive this one was perfect. It is for my home and is portable to store when not being used. Works great and even takes care of old credit and insurance cards with ease.

Good light weight shredder. Bought for my mother, who found the large head shredders too heavy to lift off of the basket. This one straddles a small garbage can & is easy for her to lift off, in order to empty. I didn't give the 5th star because of the short continuous use time & cool down time.

Nice performance so far, the price was low and its working well.

Needed a shredder that didn’t weigh a ton that could be moved from room to room etc. Was able to get this for dirt cheap and it works great unlike the big one I have. We extend it and place it on top of the garbage can
