The rubber keeps the watch from getting scratched and works great. You don't even notice that it's on there.

I had a bad experience with this case from the moment ordered it. To begin with, the first case showed up to my door with several flaws in it from the factory. These cases are soft rubber and must be trimmed after coming out of the mold. Mine has several imperfections so I returned it and ordered another. The second one was flawless, but the finish lasted about two weeks. I did wear it to work out but did not put any unnecessary wear on it. Overall I bought this because of the space gray finish and was very disappointed.

apple watch is so pretty, dont risk bumping it, protect with this bumper to keep in top condition

This was for a gift. I wish the coating was better or if they made a solid color bumper instead of coated color on top. The bumper has a top coat of "space gray" and it's easily scratch.

It is a simple hard plastic cover. I didn't particularly care for the design. The packaging made it appear as though it covered the face of the watch, it does not. I returned it.
