The case does a great job protecting the phone. The only down side is that it is sort of slick and slips out of my hand or pocket. An all silicone case can do a good job, but the hard plastic portion of this case is great protection for the sides.

With cellphones now reaching almost a 1000 dollars, protecting your investment is a must. For many years i was a loyal Otterbox customer but I have seen a steady decline in the quality of their products. I decided to give the Modal case for my S8+ a try when purchasing my phone. I have not experienced any major drops yet but the case feels solid and well built. The smooth matte texture of the outer shell allows for easy placement in and out of pockets and the rubber inner liner is thick and grooved on the side for better grip. Due to the curve of the phone's screen the case does not really protect the sides (but what cases really do?) the top and bottom of the case are raised i guess to provide some screen protection during a drop and to allow the user to place the phone face down on a surface without injuring the screen. As with all the new Samsung curved products a screen protector is must but I believe this Modal case is just a good as any Otterbox.

This is a replacement for my last Modal case, which I purchased around a year ago. It's light with a good grip, but the case wore down to its hard plastic base, which is slippery, too soon.

Simple design, not too bulky. Protects the sides of your phone okay, but recommend not dropping it at all. Not a big fan of the actual design though. Just needed something to protect my phone in the meantime.

This case fits great and is easy to put on. It covers the phone well. The back is a little thick and it is difficult to use the finger sensor because of this especially if you don't keep your fingernails short. I've had a few problems with hitting the Bixby button by accident while holding the phone in this case. I think that's because the tactile indicator of the button is minimal. It gives a greater protection for the face because of the raised corner bumpers. I've not dropped my phone in this case so I'm not sure how well it protects and I hope to not find out! I'm hoping the grey sides stay the same color and don't turn but I haven't had it long enough for them to get dirty or discolored. Overall, it's a good solid case and I've no major complaints.

I initially purchased this case when I picked up my S8+ on launch day. Over several days, I felt that only met my minimum in terms of cell phone cases. The coverage, especially towards the front of the phone, didn't seem as great as other cases. To further elaborate, if I have my phone face down on a desk, there's isn't enough "lift" around the edges of the phone. So when looking at an angle, it looks like the screen is touching the desk. One of the features of the S8+ is the edge notification. So often times I have the phone face down while in meetings and if something important comes along such as a call or text, the edge notifications will give me an idea who the caller is. In the end, I decided to return it for said reasons.

When i picked this case i wanted something that was slim, not to slippery to hold and something that didn't cost as much as my phone!! This case has been great, so far. Thanks Best Buy for offering the Modal Case for my new Galaxy S8+

This device protects the phone as intended, but it also completely covers the back of the device. Thus it totally negates the value of color selection when buying the phone. If color is important to you, consider this when buying.

Is ok I used some time I would not used on my phone cause my has a screen protector and the phone protector tends to push up on the screen protector other than that is an ok product

I had an Insignia case prior to this that got the job done, but over time it got discolored and very brittle. Picked this up as a replacement and got it for less than $20, definitely a solid case for the money.

The case offers good protection and works well. My only problem with it is that the case does grab when it is in a pants pocket, making it inconvenient in the front pocket.

I would equate this to a otter box commuter version. It is sturdy and protects my phone from drops. The S8 has a curved screen, so it is almost impossible to cover the whole screen, but this case does the job.

This is a great case he still uses his big bulky one if we go fishing or something but this is a great lighter case it has the lip around the front so if he drops it it is the protected on the screen.

I bought it because was a cheap price so was gona be a temp. Phone case. But its actually a good one protects phone well not to bulky and good material. It covers the corners which most phone cases dont.

I needed a cover for my phone until I purchased another name brand. I purchased a different cover for my phone and found that this one was much better an less expensive. Good choice for my galaxy 8

This is the first cases that has lasted me this long. It has been about 1 year since I purchased and many accidents in between purchase date to now and still looks good.

This case does everything you want from an otterbox at 1/2 the price. So glad I switched things up this time. Couldn't be happier with this case. Fits well, no slip surface on the back, rugged.

Bought this case when I bought my s8+ phone to use temporarily till I could find a case i thought I would like better. I've been so satisfied with it I quit looking.

Soft, flexable, easy to manage but great protection that doesn't cover all the beauty of this great phone. High ends protect the glass still letting you enjoy the phones all in all. Love it

Fits well in the hand, is light and buttons were easy to use. Not many color choices at the store where I bought so I had to get a sky blue color.
