Surprisingly, this is an amazing folio case. It fits my ipad 10th gen perfectly and I have zero complaints thus far. It’s not too bulky, it’s very protective of my device, and to flip into a small stand does take some getting use to, but it’s like typing your shoes for the first time. Practice makes perfect. I will say this: PLEASE GET A SCREEN PROTECTOR for your ipad, folks! This is just the CASE and no screen protection comes with the case, and the cover DOES protect the screen, when closed, of course. This case feels cool in the hands. It’s actually really sturdy and has taken on a few falls without causing damage to my iPad.

Bought both of my kids ages 4 and 7 ipads and bought these cause they were on sale, i would deff buy again love that i bought two. They do provide some protection and a good cover overall. Not from to high of a fall wont be to reliable. But great for kids that arent to clumsy

It’s thin and light. I like that it is easy to open and can prop the iPad up. I wouldn’t say it’s 100% protection but it is great for an adult/teen. We bought two!

Protection is what it all about. Protection without being bulky or clumsy to use. I like the fact that all the cutouts in the case line up precisely where the Apple iPad's openings and buttons are. The top volume buttons are easy to feel and activate. The fingerprint reader touch power didn't interfere with the already learned fingers I had enrolled in for securing the data on my iPad. That's important since relearning them is a pain. The speaker ports are nicely placed. Allowing the Apple LOGO to show through in the back clear panel is a nice touch too. Especially if you ordered one of Apples newest colors, bright yellow or red. The fit was perfect. The case allows me to use in standard reading mode or for watching videos. There is a spot on top for storing the Apple Pencil. Not sure if it fits the Crayon. The case corners appear robust and provide protection from any unfortunate drop on its edge. The metallic clasp keeps the case closed using the iPad's own internal magnetic design. Embossed legs on the case bottom provides a level of slip resistance. The cover folds over flat when required. Another posture is folding the cover into a triangle for sloped pencil drawing mode or as mentioned earlier, standard reading mode. I love the embossed perimeter texture's feel when holding or caring the iPad. Snug fit yet easy to remove when desired.

Nice case, similar to what I’ve used with previous generations of iPad. Based on my experience of past cases I suspect I’ll get similar lifespan and performance from this cover. My issue with it is how the plastic back side portion of the case interferes with the buttons. While it does protect the buttons, it also makes it difficult to access easily. This is really a problem given the top button is used for biometrics to unlock with the current generation, causing you to constantly have to angle your finger to get a good read on your print. I used a Dremel to carefully notch the areas (see picture) to allow easier access to these buttons for biometrics and volume control. It now functions MUCH better and would have rated 5 stars had it come this way. First of all, the positive: - very precise fit - protects the tablet overall well - amazingly stable in the “set up” position - high-quality impression - “open to wake/close to sleep” works (this is not a matter of course with all cases). The negative: - the case is quite heavy; the weight gain compared to the tablet without a case is very clear - the corners are so stable that you have to spend quite a lot of effort to bring the tablet into it; the plastic does not damage the tablet in the process, but it is still not pleasant to have to use so much “force” - this also leads to the fact that it is almost impossible to remove the tablet from the case again - constructive error on the USB-C charging port: the edge protector goes too close to the port, so that USB sticks and slightly larger charging cables (e.g. from Anker) do not fit. In the event you drop your ipad, it will protect it for sure. If you pair this with a screen protector your device will be set!!

My first impression of the Modal -Folio Apple iPad 10.9" case was not good. I thought it felt cheap and worried that it would not add the protection I required. I put my ipad into the case and started using it. After the first day I changed my mind. The case fits the iPad snugly for a stable perfect fit. It has a snug holder built in on the right side for my Apple pencil. So, I never need to wonder where my pencil is. It has a simple built-in stand making it perfect for watching youtube or facetiming with family and friends. The material used to make this case is not slippery at all and it feels secure in my hands. It is not too bulky, so it is easy to tuck into my tote or backpack for travel. It does not have a screen protector of any kind. I do recommend you purchase a screen protector ad I did. The inside of the case does leave lint my iPad screen. I wish there was an included cloth and pocket to store it so I can keep the screen clean. The loop to close it with feels like its in the way more than it helps. I wish it had a better designed loop. These three issues are the reason I rated it as 4 star instead of 5. All in all I do like this case and it protects my iPad well.

Had a few cases like this in the past for other ipads but since i just got the new ipad 10th gen i wanted one that had the foldable cover design that can prop it up and still support the apple pencil without having it sit outside the case. This fits that bill perfectly and provides real protection for your ipad as you can see in my pics. Its a good mix of not to soft and not too hard rubber so its easy enough to get your ipad into it but hard enough to get it out that if you do happen to drop it, you wont have an issue. The main thing that sets this one apart is the fact that it has the extra zone up top for the pencil or crayon or whatever smart pen you use which to me makes more sense as i never want to worry about having dropped it while carrying it somewhere like i would with the others that house it in a loop outside the case. With something like this you do have some extra bulk but that's to be expected and appreciated when it comes to durability. The back side of the case is clear so you can see the color of your ipad which i really like as well. If you want a nice case that holds the pencil inside this is the one for you.

I bought an iPad 10th generation and immediately wanted to get a folio case to protect it. I came across this one while searching and it’s just what I needed. It feels nice and sturdy without adding weight. It stays in place when I fold the cover into typing or viewing mode. I also appreciate the open to wake and close to sleep cover function. I feel it helps save some battery life due to not going on and off with every notification that pops up. My one small gripe is the space for holding the Apple Pencil. It could potentially become a weak spot over time. I will try to put something there to act as a ‘placeholder’ for lack of a better term. All things considered I’m grateful to have this case and wouldn’t hesitate to buy a second one as backup.
