I would only recommend an amplified model. This was a refurbished model, came with new packaging and looks new! I opted for in store pickup to save on shipping. It took almost five weeks to get it. I would like to think that is NOT the norm. I ordered another one for a friend, we'll see how long it takes.

Doesn’t work for all areas

She lives on a hill at the edge of town. I tried it in my home on several TVs and I didn’t get anymore channels than what I had before. So, unfortunately I guess it depends on where you live.

We get all the local channels plus many others. You may have to move it around to find the optimum local for reception but it works for us. We liked it so well we bought another one for the bedroom.

So, I returned it and got a new one and hooked it up with brand new free tv. No problem customer service.
