As a big fan of the series, I've been looking forward to this game ever since I've seen it being revealed over in Japan. And fortunately, it didn't disappoint. I love the new hunting styles and hunting arts that are just like special moves you can do, to spice up the action in the game. The new monster are cool too, and the online experience is very robust. Worth the purchase!

If you are new to the series this game doesn’t explain everything well but it’s not too hard to get the hang of. I have my own personal copy and bought this for my nephew and he loves it. Plus it’s pretty cheap now.

After enjoying the Monster Hunter franchise on console for many years, this 3DS version is amazing! Having the option to play Monster Hunter while you're on the go is a real gem. I highly recommend this game!

This will have you playing for over a hundred hours easy. You must have patience too. Great monsters and challenges. You can play online with help from up to 3 others. Many weapons and armor sets. Tons of weapon types too. You'll do a lot of collecting and gathering. This game really makes you earn your status and that's nice for a change. Tons of free DLC too.

This is a great game. I have played MH since MH3U on the Wii U and I can say there are only three or four games I have spent this much time on. I have over 180 hours on this and there is still so much I could do and it has yet to lose its appeal. Every time my friends and I get together we make sure to do at least a few hunts before the night is over!

Just when I thought this game can't get that much better than 4u, they introduce many new elements and removed tedious stuff that was present in earlier games. Farming is easier with palicos with their infinite pickaxes and bug nets. Weapons special attacks add another layer to the combat. Many new big monsters. This game is just all around addicting.

This is a great game for veterans or newcomers. Go solo, grab some friends, or play online, and go hunting as a hunter or a palico (the cats). I found myself enjoying this one much more than MH4, and have poured over 200 hours so far. The controls are tight, and responsive and the new fighting styles brings even more variety to your hunts.

Old and new collide in the Best Monster Hunter game of the series yet! Improved tweaks on old mechanics and the brand new Hunter Art system makes this the most enjoyable Monster Hunting I've ever done. If you are a fan of the series, or looking to get in on the action this has everything you need for seasoned Vets and green Horns alike!

Seriously this is probably my favorite 3DS game of all time. I love the lowered difficulty of the game! It's still challenging at times but it's a much more fair kind of challenging. It has a steep learning curve but once you learn what you have to do and how to manage your items and equipment, you're in for a REWARDING experience.

Monster Hunter Generations has what the previous games lack. Swift, fast and fun game play, being able to maneuver around the monster's using the aerial style really speeds up the battle's so you don't get annoyed by how long the fight usually is, not that they aren't hard. I think it was a great step for the Monster Hunter games.

This is Monster Hunter, what do you do you might ask? Well you hunt monsters. The game is hard to get into because there is a lot of mechanics and things you can do that is not told to you. But put in the time to learn and you will get a very fun game that will last you for hundreds of hours and all the DLC being free is a bonus.

This is the best iteration yet out of the monster hunter series! hunter arts are new super moves that adds to the fun in hunting monsters. New styles give you more variation in hunting them as well. Well worth the purchase. Prepare for 400+ hours of fun!

I really like this franchise. Capcom has something really special on their hands. My first Monster Hunter I played what 4 Ultimate for the 3DS and going from that to Generations is great. The only problem is I put over 250 hours into 4U and now I'm already 20+ hours into generations. You take my life Capcom.

Game has a pretty steep learning curve; in-game tutorials are ok, but I would have benefited from a traditional paper player manual. I had never played a Monster Hunter game before this one, and I deeply regret it. While the game has an engaging single player mode, I could tell it was geared toward multi-player mode. I have no doubt the multiplayer aspect enhances missions and gameplay, if everyone has similar levels and experience.
