New monsters, returning monsters from previous games, subspecies, variants, new weapons and armor. This purchase is a no-brainer. It's massive, and more free content updates adding new more monsters and features are on the way. If you don't own Monster Hunter World, this version is the one to get as it includes the base game and expansion on disc. Even if you already own the base game like I did, the layered armor included is a nice bonus that's reminiscent of Dark Souls. Plus, the steelbook is nifty.

I got the main game for free but wanted to show my support for them myself and what a great way this was. Steelbook looks incredible too. Onto the main review, in the expansion, all you get is some new monsters as well as variants to the ones seen in the main game that you get to hunt as well new armor along with upgrades for that and weapons as well and one new area or 2 rather (Main base and the other where you'll see some new monsters to hunt or catch). Overall I say definitely worth it or you can wait for a sale if this sounds little to you.

Between college, work, and other adult prospects I rarely take the time to play video games anymore, so the fact that I've managed to sink 125+ hours into Monster Hunter World as of writing this is nothing short of a personal milestone. Now, with the release of this expansion (which is touted as being just as lengthy as the original game), I feel like I can expect to double that play time. New monsters are being added, older ones make their first appearance in this title, and other ones get regional variants that make the world feel much more alive. Gameplay is as tight as ever, and (this may admittedly just be a placebo) it even feels like there's been a slight improvement to the framerate of the game. Since having bought this expansion, I've already put in another 10 or so hours while playing with a friend—an occurrence that we plan to make happen more regularly. If I had to give one complaint so far it's that the base price of $80 for a physical copy with a steelbook is somewhat steep. Still, I'm a sucker for both hard media and variant editions so the investment was personally well-worth the price of admission.

Monster Hunter. Such a simple name and concept. Yet, the click moment if understanding this genre has alluded me for longer than I care to state. The core concept, gameplay loop and reactionary combat is simply put; rewarding. More so than chaining kills together in an FPS, or finishing the raid/trial you've been working through. It's a near perfect balance of complexity, simplicity, challenge and story. Only complaint would be multiplayer implementation. It's the only thing that deviates from the aforementioned balance, within it being overly a chore. It's simple enough in some aspects but extremely complex to most Co-Op games. Almost seems like a fleshed out feature creep. It works, it's stable; it's just not the refined multiplayer experience we've come to expect in modern times. With my one knack out of the way, do I recommend the game? One hundred percent. Should you hut

I'm literally playing this game every chance I get, I can't escape this thing and they keep releasing new events and content almost every month. I want to stop playing this but I can't until I get my meta frost craft set from the inevitable Arch Tempered Velkhana that I know will come out later in 2020, I need my meta frost craft set with coalescence and Safi great sword O_O Buy this now and watch your personal life go right out the window with a smile on your face.

This is a great game if you are new to MHW. This includes both games just need to download the update right after to get in on the action. The Master Ranks are much more challenging and great fun when playing online. If you like action games with elements of a rpg such as upgrading your armor and weapons this is for you!

If youve played the original monster hunter world, this expansion makes everything better! More abilities make combat faster and opens up more options in intense hunts. More monsters to hunt so more weapons, more amours! New endgame map makes multiplayer even funner with pals!

The expansion is so massive, it might as well been a sequel, one only complaint is that the sleeve came damaged and in horrible condition, the steelbook came mint and shrinkwrapped.

I put in over 200 hours into the original base game and I can proudly say that I have done the same for this expansion. It's like it's own full fledged sequel with new worlds and monsters. The new land that it takes you to is a visual master piece and this installation brings in new and old monsters. A must have to hunters, new and old a like. I looked forward to updates that they bring into this world.

Monster hunter world is capcom’s best selling game ever and iceborne just ups the bar even more. This package includes the base game and the new iceborne expansion. There is 100’s of hours of content. It has many quality of life improvements that make it more welcoming to newcomers. The steel book is beautiful. The dlc in this package is nice for hardcore fans.

If you enjoy good grinding games this is your go to. MHW Iceborne has everything of the old expansion to this brand new content. Many changes inside the game that makes it easier to understand even to new players. You will enjoy your time here with great content and great graphics even if you are a solo player or have a team this is a must have.

Monster Hunter Franchise has always been amazing game and the Iceborne expansion made Monster Hunter World even better. Love the new monsters with the expansion and that they brought back a few from past generations. Definitely should be on any PC or PS4 gamers list of games to play.

    Great Comprehensive Monster Hunter Package

This is a great package for anyone who wants a comprehensive experience of Monster Hunter World. It contains the Iceborne expansion on the disc along with a code to download the Iceborne Deluxe content. My only issue is that it is a code and you need to have internet access to claim the bonus content and any updates. It would also have been nice if this included a few other DLC like the regular Deluxe content and bonus outfits and gestures. But otherwise this is a great package that even comes in a Steelbook case that holds the game well. The gameplay takes some grinding and getting used to but once you feel it click the game can be hard to put down. It requires patience and coordinated strategies to take down its enemies but you get a real sense of satisfaction when you do it. Great game that you can spend hours on either single-player or online with friends which I still have yet to do.

Not for the faint of heart. Relive the action of the original monster hunter with many more new creatures to hunt for the thrill of it and none of the backlash from peta. Great game overall. Lot of challenge but worth the excitement and it has penguins!

Monster Hunter can be difficult to get into but once you find a weapon you like and start progressing to fight bigger and stronger monsters it really hits it's stride. It's super fun to play solo or with friends.
