Customers are saying

Customers enjoy the addictive gameplay, impressive graphics, and the large variety of weapons and monsters in Monster Hunter: World. Many appreciate the consistently added free content and the improved ease of use for new players, although some find the difficulty challenging and the story lacking. The open world is praised for its expansive feel, but a steep learning curve and the need for significant playtime are also noted. While some players find the controls require time to master, the overall experience is considered highly engaging.

Tried the game out initially via the trial version and was very happy with it. Took a bit to learn the combos for each weapon but once I got the hang of it I found it looking and feeling very cool. Was slightly concerned knowing that the game involved various kinds of equipment and materials, but found management quite convenient.

This game should have been available some time ago, but for some reason Monster Hunter has been left to the 3ds for the past few years. The game looks amazing, controls are a little challenging at first but once you get the hang of it, becomes second nature. Highly recommend that you get three friends together and play online.

This game is all about patience and farming materials to create better stronger gear. If that sounds appealing then this game is for you. Playing single player is fun but playing multiplayer is what the game is about. Creating a team to compliment each others play styles is always a challenge. The game has constant updates and crossover events that make you want to go back and keep playing.

This game is lots of fun. The story itself is entertaining, but the game also continues after the story ends. It can get a little repetitive if your try farming for a specific monster part, but there are so many monsters to fight, so many weapons to choose from, and no two fight are the same. I’ve really enjoyed this game.

Monster Hunter World is a great game for both old fans and new players alike. The beautiful new graphics draw you into the game, and the vast open-world levels give you much to explore. Capcom has also made the mechanics much simpler, so new players can get on board much more quickly. Highly recommended!

I've been playing Monster Hunter since back when Monster Hunter Freedom released for the PSP. With only a minor exception here or there, the series has refined and evolved to the point that this game feels like a sum of every positive aspect of the series. The story isn't particularly interesting, but then again, this has never been a series that puts that foot forward first. Instead, what you get is some of the most excellent combat for any action game out there. Heck, it's fun enough that I recommend getting PlayStation Plus for the online multiplayer aspect alone. I say this as someone who hasn't had interest in online games in nearly a decade. I've got about 100 hours logged into this game so far, and have even played this for 6 hours per day on some days. Both of these are impressive feats for me considering I usually only play games for the bare minimum amount of time to beat them and only play for about an hour per day at most. Highly recommended.

If you like 3rd person action games and enjoy crafting gear from enemy drops then this is the game for you. - Visually its amazing - The community is non-toxic. Many people don't have mics and instead they use emoji and pre-written messages (based on actions, like dying or healing) - Gameplay is fun and there's 14 weapons to choose from, each one offering a different play style. - Bi/Tri weekly events - the Developers for this game is constantly releasing new or rotating events. Check the main Monster Hunter World website to see whats happening. In some cases its to increase drops, others its new gear, harder enemies or collaboration events with other games which unlocks costumes/weapons from that game(Horizon Dawn, Devil May Cry, Final Fantasy 14, Mega Man, Assassians Creed, and soon Witcher 3) - Best part is no paid DLC to get an advantage or for latest gear. The only DLC is for more emoji's, some NPC costumes and later the ICEBORNE expansion in Autumn 2019.

After being burnt out on Destiny 2 with removing three years of previous content, i needed something to fill that void. This game is definitely it. The grind is fun the world and monsters are creative as heck and the gameplay is challenging. Playing with friends is a blast and so is single player.

I was hesitant at first to play this game for some reason. Now Ive clocked in over 50 hours on it, just sucked into the great world, cool characterizations, 14 distinct weapons (with combos and strategies for each of them), and an easy drop in and play online MP. Makes you come back for more!

I didn't get into Monster Hunter until it was on the 3ds, so having an ergonomic controller is a huge upgrade. There have been many free DLCs released, and there are seasonal events that keep the players interested in playing. The paid items are all truly cosmetic and do not effect game play at all. One of the last games where you don't feel like you need to spend tons of money just to keep up with everyone else. They improved on the Monster Hunter series for the most part, but kept the game complex enough to keep the hardcore players interested. There are a few things that take out some of the difficulty from the original formula, but overall this is a great addition and it has been well received by the community. Each weapon choice has a unique play style, so once you have mastered one weapon and farmed for your perfect built for the different types of hunts, you can go back and do it all over again. This game is a real gem.

I would have gladly paid double for this game. There’s so much to do in it that it can feel overwhelming. Monster Hunter: World is overflowing with content. The graphics are great and the gameplay is fluid. If this is your first Monster Hunter title I can’t recommend it enough.

This game is lots of fun and I have the graphics setting to "Favor Resolution" it looks amazingly clear on my LG OLED tv. Game play is fluid and fun, there is a good variety of weapons for different play styles so you get to play around and see what suits you. Highly recommended.

Perfect time to get into monster hunter

Finally a monster hunter game I can get behind. The original monster hunter games that came before worlds were very complicated and made playing them very difficult, I’m looking at you world map. I always enjoyed the combat and gear grinding, but there were simple screen hub things that modern video games had that the monster hunter games were missing. Worlds changed all of that, it finally feels like a modern game. You can get lost in worlds for hours and still feel like you barely touched it. I recommend playing with friends when hunting monsters, it make it like a small raid. Where do I start with the monsters in the game, the AI is so good! Monsters will do everything to try to defeat you, and the only way you can see them getting weaker is by their outlook. They will start showing scars or miss some of their feathers. Now is your chance to get into this huge Japanese franchise and not feel like you missed anything.

This game has so much depth and attention to detail it’s just plain absurd. Weapons and combat are balanced, tons of loot and crafting, the world is incredibly detailed and feels “alive”. Easy to start but the skill level can reach insane heights. Just amazing, A++.

Monster hunter world is a must play game for console. The system might be overwhelming at the beginning, but where are so many things to do after you are familiar with the system. You could easily spend hundreds of hours.

This game is amazing, there’s so much to do! I personally love capturing instead of hunting, but either way you can always get more supply pick up more items and hunt monsters besides your main target! Never a dull moment!
