Saved several hundred dollars in repairs due to apple care through BestBuy Protection program

I've been a BB Geek Squad Total member for a number of years. It's saved me more than the cost of membership. As an example: In Feb 2025, I bought an HP Envy Desktop Computer. After about 2 weeks, the monitors would shut down, and the computer would spontaneously re-boot. I didn't have all the packaging for the computer, and took it in for repair. The Geek Squad tech I was talking asked if I wanted to swap one out, or look at something else. I told him I didn't have the packaging and he said that's not a problem. He took the time to make suggestions, and after 20 minutes, suggested that I look at an IBuyPower that was $30 more than the HP, and was intended for gaming. He even directed me to a near-by store that had one. Over the past several years, I've had mice and KBs go out during the warranty period and have had them replaced at no charge. I've read several articles that people think the Geek Squad membership is to pricey, and they have modified the services they do for members. Overall, IMO, this is a membership worth about $180/year. I renewed 2 March and have saved $340. I would recommend this protection plan.

The BestBuy protection program gives us peace of mind that our tv is guaranteed for an extended period. It is a great value.

The Best Buy Protection plan is absolutely worth having. Electronics aren’t cheap, and knowing I’m covered for accidental damage or unexpected issues gives me real peace of mind. The claim process is simple, the coverage is clear, and Geek Squad handles everything quickly without any hassle. I’ve used the protection plan before on a different device and Best Buy took care of the repair right away with no stress. For the price of what I’m protecting, it’s a no-brainer. I definitely recommend adding this to any major purchase.

I got the run around when I brought my computer to the store, so I decided to send it directly to HP. they told me it was beyond repair, but I have the extended protection warranty through best buy, so I contacted them again, this time they said bring it in for replacement, so I brought it in with all the proof of what HP had said, they still charged me $50 and said they had to send it in to their repair for conformation, Personally I think , if the manufacture says its beyond repair, They should have just replaced it no charge,

I buy a lot of product from best buy and therefore I purchase the yearly protection plan that gets me the warranty for 2 years on everything I buy. Late last year I had one of my TVs that was almost 2 years old develop a line in the screen and they replaced the TV with a new one. With the plan you also get discounts on certain products. So far I feel like I have won on the deal

I recently purchased up an iPad and a Samsung TV from Best Buy, The Samsung TV delivers crisp colors and smooth motion, making movie nights and gaming way more immersive. The setup was straightforward, and Best Buy staff helped me choose the right size for my living room. My only small gripe is that I had to tweak a few picture settings to get the color exactly how I like it, but overall — excellent value!

It is definitely worth the money if you own a couple of things from best buy!!!

Most protection plans come with all sorts of hoops and very expensive. I’ve never had a bad experience with Best Buy‘s protection program and make sure it’s a part of every purchase I make.

I haven’t used it for my AirPods but I have had to use it for a pc that I purchased. Glad I had the extra protection

The protection plan is excellent. If anything go wrong or you need service on your product the geek squad will fix it for you. I recommend it for everything that you buy at Best Buy.

I’ve been very happy with the Best Buy Protection plan so far. Having protection on the products I use daily gives me peace of mind and makes me feel more confident about my purchases.

Love being a Best Buy member and their product solution is very well easy to use and they’re always willing to help the best way they can used it twice on two items that I’ve purchased for them. Also used it for my son’s computer. It was the best easy transaction they helped out and they actually really cared for the item.

Cleaned up my laptop, reset the internet browser and got the virus off in less time than estimated

About my protection program i love it anthong i purchase gets covered except washer and dryer had to buy extended coverage that was okay. It was not very expensive it was at a reasonable amount.

The Warranty was low cost and covered my purchase.

Nice to have protection on your expensive items for worry free 2 years.
