You take to the dungeons to bring back artifacts found and sell them in your store. You have to figure out what is the best price to make a good profit. You then use that money to upgrade your shop, town, gear, etc. You are working to gradually open up the next dungeon but defeating the dungeon bosses. Each dungeon has 3 floors and are randomly generated each time. It kind of reminds you of The Binding of Issac.

Enjoyable Indie Rogue-like / Shop Management Game

Moonlighter is an Indie rogue-like title focused around shop management aspects (like found in Animal Crossing.) When not managing the shop, you are dungeon crawling. The dungeon crawling aspect of the game isn't too daunting like other rogue-like games, and both of these two elements work well together in Moonlighter. Give this Indie game a try.

This game is very simple. It requires you to run a store in which you must stock with materials found in local dungeons. These dungeons are rogue-like, meaning all items are lost when you die. This is clever and plays with the idea of risk/gambling to get the best items for your store. This is a very fun game and easy to recommend.

A part of me loves this game for its beautiful grinding mechanics and the other part of me hates it for the same reason. Definitely a good game just not my cup of tea. It took me 6 hours of fun to figure that out though. Try it.

I thought this would be like the old school Zelda, which it is, but the only going out at night and having to manage the store by day is a little cumbersome rather than just being able to go explore. IT is fun though, just not for long periods of time.

A filler game

No means should the 3 start rating be taken as bad. What it means for me, is that I'll play Moonlighter as a filler game between other "heavier" games such as JRPGS and AAA titles. It's fun, but not something I'm going to spend a lot of time with.

This game is a combination of Ever Oasis and Binding is Issac. Basically you loot a dungeon, sell the loot, get better equipment, and go to the next dungeon while building up the town your in.

I’m already lost in this game in a good way. I’ve never played anything like it. Store runner in the day dungeon crawler at night. It’s a blast well worth the price!
