Probably the best game to movie adaption I have ever had the pleasure of watching. My only critique would be that the actors that played Raiden and Shang Tsung didn't really seem as though they understood the power their characters possessed.

Had some good action and effects, glad I waited for a sale to pick it though. I enjoyed watching it, though I feel like they rose to the occasion for this classic and then missed the mark

I love the original Mortal Kombat films. And this is totally different but it is good and its own right because of the special effects and fighting and for gory finishes just like the video game. Definitely worth owning!

Really good price had the slip cover and all. But and again the digital code was expired no digital and I see a pattern with the WB company no Bueno.

Good special effects. Story was not very good, should stick to franchise characters and not create a new one for the movie. Fight choreography was good

Definitely better than the previous films in the 90s and it seems like this is just the beginning. It's action filled and entertaining for all.

Good reboot of the series, some characters were meh and some should have been built up more.

This movie is heavily based off of the recent Mortal Kombat reboot game timeline, so it’s very different from the 1995 film and the lore many MK fans might have grown up with. That being said, it makes up for the somewhat bland story with some epic fight scenes, even if some are way too short. Effects are well done, and the fatalities are gory and over the top, just like the games. Definitely worth a watch, if only for the Subzero/scorpion fight that I’ve been waiting 30 years to see properly on the big screen.

A movie that doesn't necessarily have a cohesive story line, but is an action packed wild ride!

This movie starts out very strong, but as it progresses the plot holes start getting very noticeable. Without spoiling too much, Mortal Kombat is all about the tournament. This movie lets fans down in that department. The updated CGI and some of the fight scenes are videogame savvy, and it is still leaps and bounds better that Mortal Kombat Annihilation. The action and fight scenes still make it a worthy purchase. Test Your Might!!

This was so good, it gets a 5! The actors, storyline, effects-all amazing! I looked forward to this one so much and it was so worth it. The concept was great and there is never a dull moment. My only gripes are that Outworld should been used better, and 2 major characters were missing. Unless there's another movie coming...and yes, they did remember THAT famous line in this movie too!

Not what I expected, but a really solid movie nonetheless. Mortal Kombat 2021 was clearly made with a lot of reverence and respect for the source material. The lore isn't 100% accurate to the games, and they do play fast and loose with a couple of the characters, but given that this is film and certain things need to be condensed for time, I understand why the changes were made. I went into this expecting the actual Mortal Kombat tournament. I didn't get that. What I did get was a movie that felt like it could act as a prequel to the original game, showing us the Scorpion/Sub-Zero rivalry rather than just telling us about it, and explaining how the fighters for the tournament are chosen and how they were able to develop special abilities. The fight scenes are strong, the movie looks incredible, it sounds great, and the cast are nearly perfect. I've been playing these games since the original was in the arcades, and this is how I always imagined the like of Scorpion, Sub-Zero, Jax, Sonya, and Kano to look and sound. I'm not a big fan of Cole Young - the new character introduced solely for this movie - but I get why he's in the movie. Exposition is necessary, and at least the writers found a half-decent way to get exposition across for casual fans without sounding like a total information dump. And then there are the fatalities. This movie is rated R and it earns every bit of it. I won't spoil them, but if your dream was to see gory fatalities acted out on-screen, you're going to get what you wanted. There's no shortage of blood, guts, and brain matter.
