Scorpion and the MK guys have never been better. I haven't played that much with DC fighters except Batman. For people who have doubts, nothing to say except play it. As far as the fighting, the controls are very tight, and it only takes a second to get used to using the 2d and 3d movement. The combos are pretty good being that yo can create your own. All the characters I have played with seem to have devastating moves and hits that are brutal when they land. The graphics are excellent. Fighting is fun to watch and they really put a sweet touch on the animations and the special moves. These are the coolest looking fighters of any fighting game I have played. I havent played through story mode and to be honest, I don't care about it although I will eventually play through it. The main thing is that it is fun to fight!!!! Best fighting game to me to date. IF YOU ARE A COMPETITOR AND HAVE ONLINE PLAY, THIS WILL BE A DREAM COME TRUE FOR YOU!!!!

Mortal combat vs DC Universe is an awesome game with great graphics and a great story line. Most of the controls for the characters moves are pretty easy except for some. On some characters you have to press so many different buttons (some at the same time) just to do a certain move. What ever happened to button A punch, button B kick? Anyway, one other down side is that superman only has one move for flying. He doesn't fly around the opponent to destroy him or her. He flies up and once he shoots out his red lasers from his eyes, he comes back down immediately. Other than that, AWESOME GAME!!!!!

If you are a fan of the MK series, this is definitely one to check out. The game play is fun when playing with another player. I beat the game on my first attempt, playing solo, so the game is not too long or difficult. I picked this up at Best Buy online, during a recent sale for $37.99. I would wait until the price comes down again before picking it up. It is a fun game, but not worth $59.99. It is however a good game to add to the collection, especially if you are a fan of the series.

I bought this game after having played throughthe newest MK game as well as Batman: Arkham City. So of course this game seemed like an interesting idea. The story mode is interesting but kind of ridiculous in some parts, but I appreciate the fact you can pick which side you want to play through. I played through both sides of the story mode in the first day I had it (yay weekends), and after a few more days had the arcade mode cleared with all characters...Not a lot of band for your buck, and they didn't add all that much to this version to push the series forward. Classic MK fatalities are castrated to stay within a "T" rating. However if you have a sibling/roommate you can play with, it's definitely interesting to see Batman face off against Batman, or see how the Joker fares against Shao Kahn. Multiplayer cn be this games saving grace when you need to kill an afternoon. If you just want classic MK action though, buy the Mortal Kombat released after this one. Oh, and in case anyone is wondering, ther aren't a lot of unlockables in this game, and they took out the Krypt feature. Definitely disappointing to not hve it included.

I just purchased this game and normally I rent something before I buy it but that wasn't the case with this. I went to MANY different sites and read the reviews and pretty much no what to expect. The game has been watered down a lot as far as the fatalities but it's still a decent game. It has only half the kombatants as the last MK installment which isn't a plus but they did a great job with whom they chose. They really should have added a ton of more characters and I don't quite understand the watered down fatalities other than trying to appeal to a younger market but I am still satisfied. The fighting engine is newly designed and the rage mode is interesting and some of the combinations you can pull off our outstanding. Overall for the money (43 bux because on sale and had gift card) this is a great addition to my collection and something to keep me occupied until Street Fighter 4 rolls around in February. Face it. Soul Caliber is exactly like last version and Tekken 6 is a long way off and Virtua Fighter is pretty boring so we don't have a lot of options when it comes to fighting games. For what's out there this is a good buy and certainly something to hold you over until Street Fighter.

I love Mortal Kombat. It's the game that got me into fighting games. I love DC comics. An issue of Detective is the reason I started collecting. So it sucks that this game seems to have been sold on the idea that it would sell regardless because of those two genres. Don't get me wrong, it's fun. I don't care about the fatalities being toned down or completely gone in the case of the heroes, I'm comparing this game to the ones that were put out for the PS2 and though the graphics are easily better, and the plot is enjoyable, there is very little to keep you playing. There's no extras to speak of, no krypt, no adventure mode (the story mode is okay, but nothing compared to the adventure modes of past), no mini games, no create-a-fighter... nothing. If you want a good MK game, you should get MK: Armageddon, unless you absolutely need to play as the Joker (which is hilarious, but still not worth the money). This game is a solid rental though.

Mortal Kombat vs. DC Universe. Truly a good game, I will erradicate one large myth for MK fans who haven't played it: No Fatalities= not true. If you are playing as an MK character or a DC villian you can perform a Fatality. If you're playing as a DC hero, you can perform a Heroric Brutalility. The graphics are amazing. I really only have two problems with this game: 1)story problems 2) a giltch that might only appear on Kollector's Edition. 1: The story seems to be based more on MK and DC movies. Also the characters are mismatched (Like matching Scorpion and Flash instead Scorpion and Batman) 2: In Kollector's Edition, there is a chance that the game will mess up if you beat story mode twice. You have to erase your profile data. Other than those two problems, this game is truly impressive.

Ben Stiller's Tropic Thunder promo on mtv said it best, Ironman was good at least until Dark Knight comes out. So it seems that MK vs DC is good until Street Fighter comes out. I've been playing these fighting games from arcade to console and MK seemed almost the other fighting game to Street Fighter. Also Capcom vs Marvel came first as well. I am not a MK fan, I kept trying to use SF buttons and moves, but I bought this game based on the ability to play the DC characters. It was easy enough to pick up that my 7 and 11 yro boys picked it up easy. Even my wife got a kick out of being able to play Wonder Woman. For purest of fighting games may prefer Soul Caliber or Tekken, or MK fans my want the blood and gore back, this seemed like it was designed for the casual gamer. Hence the new modes (Klose Kombat and freefall). It's just fun to be able to play Batman vs Joker.

I remember when i was about 5 and my dad comes home with a sega genesis in hand and MK2 in the other. I was so happy and quickly fell in love with mk and had my dad get me the first as well. Ever since then ive had every mk game. All that gore and bloody violence with the awesome fatalities made it stunning! However i never bought this but played it at a buddys house and well its really short on characters and theres no bloody gore in it. What do you expect when you make it T for Teen. How sad that it was to be T. MK isnt about that. IT has to be M! Fatalities were really lame and all that too. It can be fun to play with some buddies but thats about it. For an MK game its terrible. For a fighting game in general its ok. Nothing special!

Liked the idea of two universes combining. Liked the story mode and being able to use all the different characters.

I love Mortal Kombat. Always have and I'm pretty sure always will. I'm not a big fan of DC but the characters are great so far. Still not done with the game yet so I only gave it 4 stars. But those 4 stars are awesome! I love the players they have from MK and so far the DC players are fun. Personal favorites: Raiden and the Joker.

its an overall perfect game with the exception of the fact that both story modes are a tad too short.I think it wouldve made the game more addicting if they made it so that every diffrent character from both the Mortal Kombat side and the DC Universe side had their own story even if each one was a tad short.but it does take mortal kombat on to a whole other level and its a 100 times better then any of the previous games in the series.

I am a long time MK fan. I've played and loved almost every single MK game since the first one. With that said, this one was a must have for me. I went and purchased, got it home and beat both story modes and the game the very same night. Yes, the game is that easy. While the graphics and controls are good, everything else is a disappointment. I mean, since when does an MK game get a T for Teen rating. There is no blood or gore like the other MK games, maybe that's due to the DC superheroes being in the game, but nonetheless, MK got its popularity from the gore and fatalities. This game is a huge step backwards!!

I got this game for christmas and I like it alot. The graphics are great and I like playing the story mode. The game is not too hard so you won't get frustrated as easy as with some of the other MK games but its not too easy either. The only problem I have with this game is that they should have put more characters in it but still a good choice of characters. I would recommend this game to others if they like fighting games.

All in all with mk vs dc is an awesome game. I'm an old Mortal Kombat fan who loves to see what they can do wtih the graphics. I was definitely impressed with this game and had alot of fun as well.

I really like this game I just got it today and have been playing it all day i just wish that they had more people in but other than that i love the game

all you people that put its a good game. whats the matter with you! is this the first mk game you've played. wheres all the blood and the gore! literaly the fatalitys are either freeze then punch or just beat them up. wheres the wepons and all that. i've played every mk game and this is horible

I went to my friends house and we were playing it if you want this game you should get it the graphics, the players and the levels are great

im a big fan of mortal kombat. when this came out i just had to get it. i love all the charecters in this game. the graphics are great, and each charecter has their own unique moves. this is a must buy for the ps3.
