I held off for some time on getting a battery pack because of the size of them. This one is just a little thinker then the basic shells for the Moto phones. The weight is not even noticeable if you are used to having a shell on the phone. The phone draws from the mod first. 2 settings will keep your phone at 100% or 80% until the mod is dipleated. I with all day use, phone, videos, streaming music, and 2-4 Bluetooth devices attached to it throughout the day. I end up with about 50% on my phone, from constant use from 6am to midnight. The mod also shows it's % power on your status bar.

I've been using Moto Mods since my Moto Z Play. I have since upgraded to the Moto Z2 Play and now the Moto Z3. This battery mod has worked great for each phone. I can go to Disneyland all day and use the GPS, browser, camera and take video. While everyone else's phones are dangerously low on power I keep going because of my mod. I don't use it every day only use it on occasions that I need extended power. It works just like it's supposed to. I can charge from a dead phone to get to around 60 to 70%. The other option is to set it to keep my phone at 80% charge until drains the mod. It keeps my phone going when I need it. It fits perfectly using the bumper case that Verizon sells. When using without the bumper case it gives the phone a better feel. Seems like it fits in my hand better. The only negative is that you can't charge it separately from the phone.

This battery mod it’s amazing. It will give you more than a full day of battery life combined. It’s not bulky so it actually gives the phone a nice feels on the hand. At least for me I feel more secure holding this skinny phone with this battery mod than without it. Also the battery mod adds a nice grip to the phone.

I have this mod on a moto z play which already has a large battery so it really doesn't need this extra battery but I was able to purchase this for only $20 when we bought the phone so I picked it up. Anyways there are two different settings in the phones menu you can choose how you want the phone to use this extra battery. You can either have the phone run off this extra battery right away and keep the phone battery at 100% until this battery runs out or the other setting will use the phones battery until the phone battery reaches 80% and then use this battery which is supposed to be more efficient. I have it set to "turn on" when the phone battery reaches 80% and it works great. The phone usually reaches 80% around 2 pm and it will stay at 80% until right around 8pm. I would bet that with this moto mod and normal phone usage the phone could go 3 days without a charge. Very happy I bought this. It will be great for long days away from power sources like camping trips, long hiking trips, or days at amusement parks. The only negative I have would be even though this is not very thick and really doesn't stick out much further than the stock back that comes with the phone I cannot find a protective case to fit the phone with this on. All the cases I have found are designed to fit the phone with nothing on the back not even the stock back that comes with the phone.

I never really thought I needed a battery mod because I have an awesome battery beast in the Moto Z Play but when I saw this thin profile battery and saw the lower price, I had to get it. Here are the pros. 1) Thin profile and pretty light. It is smidge thicker than the style shells. I was so shocked when I unboxed it. So easy to carry around. 2) Provides protection from scratches and falls. 3) Great grip. The rubber grip gives it the best grip. 4) Looks awesome. Not as eye catching or unique as the leather, wood or nylon style shells but still looks nice. 5) Adds plenty of mAh for me. With my Moto z play and mod, I get 15 hours screen time over 5 days on 1 charge. 6) Price is very reasonable. 7) Various options.... This is so much better than portable battery charger that I have.

It is one of the Moto mods you have to have. It is very sleek, attaches super easy , it turns my z play phone into nuclear reactor- endless power and no need to charge for 3 days with moderate use with 50% screen brightness! Very happy with the product!

Purchased this with my z2 force. Has been the best purchase. I don’t have to worry about low battery or bulky power packs. Mod is slim and hardly noticeable.

Very good, reliable power pack, at a reasonable price. Installation was simple, charging works well (over the phone charger) and does not take long, and it does kick in and starts charging the phone when the phone battery goes below 80%. With this charger (which I never detach from the phone) I can easily go for 2 days with a moderate phone use before recharging is needed. The only (minor) nuisance is that the power pack gets a bit warm (not hot!) when it is charging the phone battery AND the phone is in use (phone call, web browsing, etc.)

Love the battery and it fit perfectly for my Moto Z phone. It is not a Turbo charge battery but it does the job.

Compared to the other battery mods for the Moto Z phones, this one is probably the most basic. It's also probably my top choice, since it roughly doubles the battery life, has a very nice grippy material, and is lighter in weight than other mods. It may not have wireless charging, but unless that's a necessity for you, I'd definitely recommend this one.

I received an Incipio power module with my phone. I had it charged all up and when I really needed it, I just kept getting an error message, not lined up! I ordered this one to replace the Incipio, charged it, and it worked right away! Has held.a.charge for some time. Great in an emergency!

This item is awesome. The device will use this battery first before using the battery built directly into the device. This saves so much time. The only thing I was change is to have it a little slimmer. If Lenovo can make the phone this slim and have the size battery it does in it, they should be able to do the same with this case.

Although I am not extremely satisfied with the Moto Z2 Force, this Mod is an absolute lifesaver! I charges quickly and keeps my phone alive all day, which is important for my line of work. The magnets are strong so it stays attached nicely as well

I'm an active Pokemon go player, bluetooth and navigation user. Having my screen on all day uses a ton of juice, and this power pack is a great way to make sure I have enough—without being tied to one of those ugly lipstick-case battery packs. The only drawback is this battery takes a while to charge, as it doesn't work with Motorola's TurboPower. I might someday try the TurboPower Moto Z battery, but the trade-off there is it's quite a bit thicker than this one. One final benefit of the Moto power pack is how grippy it is. I can set the phone down on almost any surface and it won't slide around—something I can't say for the phone without the pack attached.

works well no issues so far had it for 2 months now. battery could last for 2 days with efficiency mode is on. but on the 3rd day in the morning it might need to be charged up. Matters how much you use your moto z phone

I like that this adds power but I find that it's better just to put it on when you need to charge the phone. It seems like it gives less charge when hooked up to the phone. Also wish I could still use a case with it. It makes my case a little too snug.

With the battery pack the extended time of usage of the phone was unbelievable . Amazing to see how many extra hours I had with the battery pack than without

Works great. It does add a lot of weight, but I can go almost 3 whole days without charging my phone, so that's nice. I really only use it on long trips and in other situations where I might not be able to charge my phone super regularly, in which case the weight doesn't bother me. When it is connected to my phone the whole thing sits in my pocket pretty nicely. The only drawback is that I just wish I didn't have to have it connected to the phone to charge it. It's not a deal breaker, though.

I love my modo external battery. It lasts longer than any other externals I've tried. Its slim so i can store with my phone. Even when its attached to (phone and battery together) are slimmer than my old phone. I also like how quickly it charges. I can get multiple hours out of a 15 minute charge using the turbo burst charger that came with my phone. Thats important to me for I travel a lot for business and need a boost in the airports.

This is a must have Moto mod for your Moto Z phone. I went 3 days without Charing my phone with moderate use. This is great for when you go on outtings or if you know that you will be using your Moto Z more than normal. It is sleek and can easily fit in your pocket or bag when not attached to your Moto Z. Also, another benefit is that you don't need to carry another annoying power bank with you when it's attached to the phone.
