Customers are saying

Customers commend the N300 Router with DOCSIS 3.0 Cable Modem for its ease of use, strong performance, and affordable price. Many appreciate the compatibility with major internet providers and the generally reliable setup process. However, some users report occasional WiFi connectivity issues and inconsistent signal strength in certain areas. The product's range and connection stability appear to be the main points of concern for some customers.

I am a novice with modems, and especially wifi, but I wanted to get away from so many cables and I wanted security. This modem was more than I was planning to spend, but after reading reviews and evaluating against other products, I decided it was my best choice. I am not sorry. It was a breeze to set up and works like a champ. Definitely recommend.

I bought this several months ago having it being suggested by the staff member who asked to assist me. Works great. Occasionally I have to disconnect my phone/laptop and reconnect or reset my TV but its been rare and the unit itself I have never had to reset

    OK cable modem, marginal router

Tried to save money by going with a combi unit; my old service (U-Verse) provided one and it worked fairly well. This unit though had wi-fi signal strength issues. To be fair, the unit was placed at one end of a fairly long house. (Same location as the old one.) However there are no other complicating factors e.g. steel framing. Still streaming was marginal and wi-fi download speeds to my office PC were lower than expected. I returned the unit to Best Buy and bought a separate modem (Arris Surfboard 6141) and router (Netgear R6400) which doubled my download speed and cleared up the streaming difficulties. The new router is also a dual-band unit which is advantageous if you have other devices or neighbors also using the narrow 2.4 gHz band. The 5 gHz band is wider and less crowded. This Motorola combi is probably adequate if it can be placed near the center of a moderately sized home, but I have to say that the advice given in the tech magazines -- separate modem and router are worth the price -- proved to be true in my case.

Bought this to not pay any more rent fee on equipment with cable company. Most Motorola cable modems models capable of DOCSIS 2 and above are approved by most service providers in my area. So far have had no problems at all with the modem and WiFi itself. Cant blame the modem if your service is not good. I

a little to soon to give a total review as this item is less than a month old to me. But i will review what i have noticed, items was easy to configure with my ISP and equipment in home. did require a call to ISP to have unit put in service. Speed seems to be as good or better than my old cable company modem.

This was recommended to me by a computer tech. After 3 1/2 years of renting a modem through comcast, I purchased this one. This included the router and it gives me coverage for the internet in a two story house, and using 3 playstation vue tvs. Easy to hook up, and love that it has a great range.

The modem/router works as I expected. Since I replaced one that I had been leasing from Time Warner Cable, I have had no issues whatsoever. I unplugged the leased one, plugged in the new one configures it, set up a secure password, then synched it with all my devices. It works like a charm.

I needed a simple modem/ wifi router for Comcast and this is working nicely. Haven't had any problems connecting to multiple devices. (Chromecast, game systems, etc.) Would definitely recommend.

Extremely satisfied with the purchase of this router. Cable provider for internet had a rental fee and assessed taxes on the use of their router monthly. The purchase of this item has enabled me to save the cost per month and provides peak performance. Very happy with my purchase.

Plugged in, logged into Time Warner web site and activated in moments. set up WEP security on router and without a glitch. From opening box to receiving password protected WiFi signal throughout home in 20 minutes. Strong signal, phone picks up and logs in pulling into driveway.

I've had this about a month now and it works great. Looks modern as well which is a nice bonus. Easy to set up. It would have been nice if it came with the coax cable to connect to the wall, but it's not a big deal.

Needed the router for a new TV hookup in an apartment and TW was going to add $10 per month to the bill. Went on line and BB was one of the few places to have it in stock....dropped by and bought it there and it will pay for itself in less than a year. Easy hook-up.
