    Great sound

These headphones have nice bass and they cancel outside noise. You need to find right size ear buds. You can use them to talk as well but they don't have any voice control/command. They light weight and comfortable and stay on ears while working out. The only problem is there is a glitch in charging the battery. It fully charges but when you unplug and turn them on they won't turn on. You have to plug them back into the charger and wait for indicator light to come on(1 sec), unplug and then they turn on. Otherwise, they are a great pair of headphones.

Great bluetooth headphones for the gym

Overall if you have been thinking of going bluetooth in the gym, these are worth the considerable investment. I bought mine shortly after buying a MotoActv which doubles as a watch for me during the day. I am an amateur stairclimber and figure competitor and workout just about every morning in the gym either using a stepper, stepmill, elliptical and/or weight training. When I am squatting with several hundred pounds on my shoulders I am not in a position to fuss with my headphones which is why I purchased these. They fit securely around the back of my ears/head and the sound is solid. I listen to heavy metal and the bass is great. The only downside is sweat and longevity. I had mine for less than 6-mos when I stopped getting any sound out of one ear so I brought 'em back to Best Buy as I had purchased a replacement plan for them only to learn that Best Buy had stopped offering a replacement plan on these headphones so I got a replacement but couldn't buy a replacement plan for the replacements.

Six weeks and no LED ... and NO REFUND

I purchased this product at my local Best Buy store on 06/07/2012. Wish I had researched it a little more carefully (by reading the reviews on this website and Amazon!!) but I didn't. However, I did save my receipt ... but, that's not helping ... read on: The first month or so went along just fine ... good sound quality, good fit, good pairing with my iPhone 4S. It's near 100°F this time of year in Central Texas, so when I'm wearing the SF600's on my twice-weekly noontime 2-mile runs, I'm sweating pretty good. Yesterday, after my run, I plugged in the included Motorola charger and noticed the LED was not lighting. It's supposed to come on red when charging and turn green when fully charged. The headphones still work OK (so far), but no visible charging indication. Looking closely at the mini-USB port underneath the rubber sealing grommet, I could see early signs of corrosion, probably due to sweat. Since I've only had these for about six weeks, I think that's not a very good sign for what the future holds. I'm thinking it's time to return them. First, I contacted Best Buy, but since it's been more than 30 days since my purchase, they referred me to Motorola for further assistance. Hmm, well that is their stated policy. When I called Motorola, they offered to replace the headphones, but refused my request for a refund ... I didn't buy it directly from them AND it's been more than 30 days since my purchase. I spoke to a supervisor, but got the same song. Sent them a polite email, but got the same information in writing. [REF Case # 120725-002450] Then, I called Best Buy back again, but they again said they couldn't help me ... just told me to go back to Motorola again. True, I do still have my headphones, but with the LED failure, I'm guessing it won't be long before they go out entirely. Frankly, based upon my (1) early experience with the SF600,(2) lack of support from Motorola and (3) similar reviews here and on Amazon, I'm not really wanting a replacement set of the same headphones. A month or two from now, I'm repeating this song, second verse. Instead, I just want my $140 back so I can shop for something else ... probably not at Best Buy OR Motorola. Shame on Best Buy for passing the buck. Shame on Motorola because they don't offer "satisfaction or your money back" for their products. If this had happened six months or a year from purchase, I might excuse & forget it. Six weeks ... no way. Just thought y'all should be aware that in case of defect or failure, Motorola will offer a replacement only and will not refund your money if you change your mind about using their product. It's an expensive lesson I've now learned well and hope none of you will have to experience. Order this product at your own risk.

I just love to workout. I run 4 miles a day, talk about sweating...but these headphones are awesome while i'm workingout. They stay put in my ears, sound is awesome, especially the bass, i don't have to untangle the cords, and rarely give me static problems. Yes if you leave them in your car or heated temperatures it would start giving you problems, but that is going to happen with any electronic device. People who have complained about it not working right are either not using them the right way, or have misused them already & not know about it.

Great for sound but lousy for working out!

I bought these headphones to use while i'm at the gym so I didn't get tied up in a cord while working out! Well......I definitely didn't get tied up in the cord but I did get tied up in adjusting these headphones every couple of minutes once I started sweating! If you're someone who either doesn't sweat or just want the headphones while you're not working out, these are PERFECT and sound amazing! But if you're working out, which is what these were made for, hence the word SPORT.....then I would recommend the JayBird Freedom Bluetooth Earbud Headphones which I am in love with! These suckers don't go anywhere even when I'm doing Plyometrics! In summary, if you're not going to be sweating, you'll love it, if you are, you'll hate it and will look for your corded earphones in the middle of your workout to put yourself out of your misery!

    Review from a runner

    Posted .

I am an avid runner. I don't use wireless headphones for running. Instead, I purchased these for when I cross train on my elliptical machine. I have a TV and dvd player in front of my elliptical machine. I connect the audio output from the tv to a sony bluetooth transmitter and headphone amplifer (the TV does not have a headphone jack unfortunately). These headphones then pick up the audio from the TV and I can workout on the elliptical and watch dvds or tv without bothering anyone. My previous experience with this set up was a pair of Motorola S9s. These lasted about a year before the right ear piece went out due to sweat. They advertised the headphones for working out, but they get ruined from sweat! OK - so I went to best buy and saw these that claimed to be "sweat resistant". I worked out with them on the elliptical maybe 5 times and guess what - the right ear channel started going out. If you advertise the product as sweat proof and for working out, it shouldn't get ruined by sweat so quickly (if ever). Stay away from these if you are buying for working out where you will sweat. They will not make it a year (or less). If you want bluetooth headphones for working out get the Jaybirds - I was lucky and Bestbuy let me exchange these for those although I was beyond the initial 30 day exchange period. I haven't tried the Jaybirds out yet, but they have a lifetime warranty against damage from sweat (and are $30 cheaper). Last Motorola headphone product I ever purchase!

I have been using a platronic BT earphone and happy with the daily usage, but know that it will not survive a sweaty work out. Have been looking for a BT earphone to use for running. Found this "sweat" proof headset and even thought it did not fit very well, but it does provide a wire free running. But the first time I went out running with it, up the hill, almost home (after 5 miles) hear a pop and the music disappeared completely. When I get home, it would not turn on and or charge. Looks like the sweat got to it. Needless to say, back to the store and exchange for a pair of bluejay freedom and I still using it after 3 months of heavy usage.

I really like not having cords - but they still have a ways to go with staying IN the ear and the weight of the ear peices in general. I'd also like to see something that can adjust behind the head. The sound is good - I've had more of an issue with my droid and pandora, not the blue tooth connectivity. Its also very difficult to wear sunglasses of any kind over the ears with these as the part of the earpeice that does go over the ear is large. I hope this helps!

I has great expectations for this device. unfortunately i was very disappointed when i actually tried to use it. I was following all the hype surrounding the MotoActv, and the HF700 headset and heart rate monitor. After that got pulled from the market (don't know why). i purchased this unit. At $129 it was the most expensive wireless headset i could find. I wanted a fitness oriented device, I run and bike and thought this device would fit my needs. I tried all the earplug options, but could not get a goo fit. The audio quality was nothing great. And when I run it doesn't stay on. The design is flawed. the unit has these 2 heavy boxes that cause the unit to slip off your head if you move a lot. My take is this unit is not for serious athletes. I guess if i was walking or slow jogging the HF600 would be OK, still overpriced but OK. I saw on someone else's review to try the Arriva Leo. i google searched and found it right away. Easy Paypal transaction and had the unit 2 days later. Only $69, and I am very happy. Sorry Motorola,

Don't buy if you are active - poor sound quality

These do not work as advertised. Three main issues that led me to return this the next day -First, the sound is very tinny and no bass was present. Second, I could not adjust this thing to fit into my ears. The only way it would stay on and in my ears was with a cap that pressed the piece into my ears. A diameter adjustment in the back would help so my collar would not interfere. Third and big issue is when you get a little sweaty, the microphone does not work and you are completely muffled and underwater. I am not trying to compare these to my Shure e500 in-ear headphones or the great Brookstone surround-sound earphones, just trying to get some nice wireless earphones....failed!

    Best Bluetooth HeadSet

This bluetooth headset are the best I ever had and I have had many of them. I am using them with my Samsung Galaxy S II Skyrocket which I carry on my belt on the right side and had very few drop but it reconnects so fast you might not notices the drop unlike other bluetooth headset which is noticeables. I also use them with the ipod nano touch with the sony bluetooth dongle and it works great BUT make sure it's on the right side. The sound quality on them are extraordinary for bluetooth headset, also they are very comfortable to wear. I also like they tell you if the are connected or not and the battery level. ONLY one thing, I would love to see is a bette earpieces but again the best bluetooth headset...............

How much do you people sweat???

    Posted .
This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

Wow... how much do these reviewers sweat?? I run with these headphones, wear them outside, wear them inside, and with almost everything else I do. I loved these headphones so much, I recommended them to my girlfriend, who, after trying them, promptly ran out to buy her own pair. Both of us have never had any problems. Sure, the sound occasionally drops out when outside, but look at ALL the reviews of all the other bluetooth headphones and you'll find the same thing. The best thing to do is to wear your iPhone or other phone on your arm. In that scenario, the sound will never drop out. But seriously, suck it up. The occasional drop of music is a blip and it's so much less annoying than having tangled cords! It's not like you're missing minutes of music, it's literally just a millisecond of no music. I don't know, maybe I don't run hard enough... maybe I'm not sweating enough... or maybe I haven't owned these headphones long enough to have them die on me. I've had them for about two months with zero issues.

    Makes me sad

If this tells you anything this is the only product review I've ever done. I read the reviews and still thought, hey, the quality can't be that bad. Well, mine lasted 3 weeks before randomly shutting on and off and being unusable. I knew something was up when Best Buy not only didn't push but wouldn't sell me an extended warranty. I lift 5 days a week and run about 20 miles per week. Not having wires was awesome. Worth the fact that the sound was mediocre, clear highs but weak bass and not much volume. Still, I would have been happy if they worked. But for the last week they've shut on and off on their own. It is unbearable. My friend has the Motorola s9hds, and they have intermittent bugs also. IF you must try these, get them at Best Buy. The 30 day return policy is worth its weight in gold Took mine back today and got a set of Klipsch S4s. I'm wired but the sound is ten times as good, and for $14 I have no worries for the next two years.

Stopped working after using it three times. Really disappointing considering I've owned two sets of the S9 headphones that stopped working as well. In the process of trying to get the SF600's replaced but really just absolutely disappointed the durability of Motorola headphones I have owned. Disappointed.

Sports Headphones That Stay On Your Ears

Great headphones to have at the gym, they feel like you are not wearing anything on your ears. The only frustration thing is that they have to be turn off completely by little press on button or the battery dies and then you have to recharge and then after is green lighted then unplug and then plug back in and leave some extra time or they will not be charge at all. But, other than that they are fun and wonderful headphones to have for people that cannot live without music while working out. I completely recommend them to everybody to purchase.

For deep bass sound, mid levels, top of range, pretty awesome. Ear Gels, plenty of size too, portability, great with soft pouch, room to room, drop outs, very few, if any.... over time to time fit, they stay put!!! jogging stayness (new word), excellent... external sound block out, decent not great but not intended or advertised. In car usage, connectivity as phone, excellent, In service on aircraft, pretty decent as well... again, sound block out, just ok... OVERALL VALUE, SOUND, PRICE POINT - JUST WORTH IT!

    Design Problems?

I bought these in early January of 2012. They worked great for about a month and then I noticed that whenever I went to use them the battery was dead. I charged them up last night and put them on. Before I even powered them up I could hear static in my left ear. Lightly jiggling the cable got it to stop. This morning the battery strength has dropped from high to medium and the LED light is lit, which would be okay except they aren't on! There's an active discussion on Motorola's forums about these: https://forums.motorola.com/posts/f87c0c662d I'd stay away from them.

This is seriously better quality than my beats pro headphones. The catch is u have to find a gel that will not so much hold them in place because the wrap around do this, but rather a gel earpiece that will concentrate the earpiece into the inner ear. I am an audiophile and after tweaking w it to fit me they bring great depth to the sound. Seriously these are as good as a pair of 150 dollar Bose wired headset. Its sweat proof comfy, and will impress even an audiophile athlete like me. Bluetooth range is solid, HD quality and sweat proof, I'm liking the progression of tech here and this is a big step in Bluetooth audio technology!

I didn't buy these explicitly as a wireless headset for iPhone to make and receive phone calls. I've heard that the person on the other end sometimes does't get great reception but I can hear them just fine. The primary reason I got these was to lose the wire to listen to music wirelessly and be able to go for a run once in a while. I LOVE them. They sound great, just make sure to properly fit them in your ear. I did buy the jaybird equivalent but returned them because the sound was very lack luster. So, if you looking for a headset to make and receive calls there are probably better models out there but for what I was looking for this headset ROCKS!!!! One more thing, I did lose one of the little rubber plugs that covers 1 of the 8 screws though. So I call support at Motorola and they were so helpful. Awesome customer service!!!

AVOID buying this SF600 they are NO GOOD!

This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

I bought a pair of SF600 on May 15 and I used them on 5 wok outs... On Monday (Memorial Day) after I finished my work out I turn the headset OFF but the SF600 continued signaling a distortion, today every time I moved my hands back while I ran I can hear a distortion and then it went silent. The unit was fully charge, I tried to reconnected to see if I will work again but no cigar. If they are "sweat proof" now I'm very concern about the MOTOACTV unit since it is also water proof. Moto you drop the ball when you released this faulty headset or Moto you guys don't have a QC department. I thought that people where exaggerating when they were commenting on SF600 but they were right on the money... The headset delivers excellent sound but only if it is used indoor and you can't sweat otherwise they will stop working... maybe 5 workouts maybe 10 but they will break! I took them back to Best Buy and I told them to remove the SF600 because they are NO GOOD! 5/30/2012
