Great sound

These headphones have nice bass and they cancel outside noise. You need to find right size ear buds. You can use them to talk as well but they don't have any voice control/command. They light weight and comfortable and stay on ears while working out. The only problem is there is a glitch in charging the battery. It fully charges but when you unplug and turn them on they won't turn on. You have to plug them back into the charger and wait for indicator light to come on(1 sec), unplug and then they turn on. Otherwise, they are a great pair of headphones.

Great bluetooth headphones for the gym

Overall if you have been thinking of going bluetooth in the gym, these are worth the considerable investment. I bought mine shortly after buying a MotoActv which doubles as a watch for me during the day. I am an amateur stairclimber and figure competitor and workout just about every morning in the gym either using a stepper, stepmill, elliptical and/or weight training. When I am squatting with several hundred pounds on my shoulders I am not in a position to fuss with my headphones which is why I purchased these. They fit securely around the back of my ears/head and the sound is solid. I listen to heavy metal and the bass is great. The only downside is sweat and longevity. I had mine for less than 6-mos when I stopped getting any sound out of one ear so I brought 'em back to Best Buy as I had purchased a replacement plan for them only to learn that Best Buy had stopped offering a replacement plan on these headphones so I got a replacement but couldn't buy a replacement plan for the replacements.

Six weeks and no LED ... and NO REFUND

I purchased this product at my local Best Buy store on 06/07/2012. Wish I had researched it a little more carefully (by reading the reviews on this website and Amazon!!) but I didn't. However, I did save my receipt ... but, that's not helping ... read on:
The first month or so went along just fine ... good sound quality, good fit, good pairing with my iPhone 4S. It's near 100°F this time of year in Central Texas, so when I'm wearing the SF600's on my twice-weekly noontime 2-mile runs, I'm sweating pretty good.
Yesterday, after my run, I plugged in the included Motorola charger and noticed the LED was not lighting. It's supposed to come on red when charging and turn green when fully charged. The headphones still work OK (so far), but no visible charging indication. Looking closely at the mini-USB port underneath the rubber sealing grommet, I could see early signs of corrosion, probably due to sweat. Since I've only had these for about six weeks, I think that's not a very good sign for what the future holds. I'm thinking it's time to return them.
First, I contacted Best Buy, but since it's been more than 30 days since my purchase, they referred me to Motorola for further assistance. Hmm, well that is their stated policy.
When I called Motorola, they offered to replace the headphones, but refused my request for a refund ... I didn't buy it directly from them AND it's been more than 30 days since my purchase. I spoke to a supervisor, but got the same song. Sent them a polite email, but got the same information in writing. [REF Case # 120725-002450]
Then, I called Best Buy back again, but they again said they couldn't help me ... just told me to go back to Motorola again. True, I do still have my headphones, but with the LED failure, I'm guessing it won't be long before they go out entirely.
Frankly, based upon my (1) early experience with the SF600,(2) lack of support from Motorola and (3) similar reviews here and on Amazon, I'm not really wanting a replacement set of the same headphones. A month or two from now, I'm repeating this song, second verse. Instead, I just want my $140 back so I can shop for something else ... probably not at Best Buy OR Motorola.
Shame on Best Buy for passing the buck. Shame on Motorola because they don't offer "satisfaction or your money back" for their products. If this had happened six months or a year from purchase, I might excuse & forget it. Six weeks ... no way.
Just thought y'all should be aware that in case of defect or failure, Motorola will offer a replacement only and will not refund your money if you change your mind about using their product. It's an expensive lesson I've now learned well and hope none of you will have to experience. Order this product at your own risk.

I just love to workout. I run 4 miles a day, talk about sweating...but these headphones are awesome while i'm workingout. They stay put in my ears, sound is awesome, especially the bass, i don't have to untangle the cords, and rarely give me static problems. Yes if you leave them in your car or heated temperatures it would start giving you problems, but that is going to happen with any electronic device. People who have complained about it not working right are either not using them the right way, or have misused them already & not know about it.

Great for sound but lousy for working out!

I bought these headphones to use while i'm at the gym so I didn't get tied up in a cord while working out! Well......I definitely didn't get tied up in the cord but I did get tied up in adjusting these headphones every couple of minutes once I started sweating!
If you're someone who either doesn't sweat or just want the headphones while you're not working out, these are PERFECT and sound amazing! But if you're working out, which is what these were made for, hence the word SPORT.....then I would recommend the JayBird Freedom Bluetooth Earbud Headphones which I am in love with! These suckers don't go anywhere even when I'm doing Plyometrics!
In summary, if you're not going to be sweating, you'll love it, if you are, you'll hate it and will look for your corded earphones in the middle of your workout to put yourself out of your misery!

Review from a runner

I am an avid runner. I don't use wireless headphones for running. Instead, I purchased these for when I cross train on my elliptical machine. I have a TV and dvd player in front of my elliptical machine. I connect the audio output from the tv to a sony bluetooth transmitter and headphone amplifer (the TV does not have a headphone jack unfortunately). These headphones then pick up the audio from the TV and I can workout on the elliptical and watch dvds or tv without bothering anyone. My previous experience with this set up was a pair of Motorola S9s. These lasted about a year before the right ear piece went out due to sweat. They advertised the headphones for working out, but they get ruined from sweat! OK - so I went to best buy and saw these that claimed to be "sweat resistant". I worked out with them on the elliptical maybe 5 times and guess what - the right ear channel started going out. If you advertise the product as sweat proof and for working out, it shouldn't get ruined by sweat so quickly (if ever). Stay away from these if you are buying for working out where you will sweat. They will not make it a year (or less). If you want bluetooth headphones for working out get the Jaybirds - I was lucky and Bestbuy let me exchange these for those although I was beyond the initial 30 day exchange period. I haven't tried the Jaybirds out yet, but they have a lifetime warranty against damage from sweat (and are $30 cheaper). Last Motorola headphone product I ever purchase!

I have been using a platronic BT earphone and happy with the daily usage, but know that it will not survive a sweaty work out. Have been looking for a BT earphone to use for running. Found this "sweat" proof headset and even thought it did not fit very well, but it does provide a wire free running. But the first time I went out running with it, up the hill, almost home (after 5 miles) hear a pop and the music disappeared completely. When I get home, it would not turn on and or charge. Looks like the sweat got to it. Needless to say, back to the store and exchange for a pair of bluejay freedom and I still using it after 3 months of heavy usage.

I really like not having cords - but they still have a ways to go with staying IN the ear and the weight of the ear peices in general. I'd also like to see something that can adjust behind the head. The sound is good - I've had more of an issue with my droid and pandora, not the blue tooth connectivity. Its also very difficult to wear sunglasses of any kind over the ears with these as the part of the earpeice that does go over the ear is large. I hope this helps!
