Since this mat came rolled up I was immediately suspect. I was expecting a much more think mat because I have it over the edge of my rug. Being thing the chair doesn't roll over it counteracting the reason I bought it.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend

This chair mat is exactly what I wanted. it is light weight and easy to maneuver around on the floor. It protects the floor well from the chair casters and makes it easier to move the chair around. The mat was shipped rolled up but straightened out on the floor fairly quickly.
