Don't buy Mr Coffee with thermal Carafe Any model they leak lid warps way over priced JUNK Mr Coffee doesn't have replacement anymore for this model Even though I have had this machine for 7 months Second lid warp now leaks out of side between metal and plastic parts of Carafe

I purchased this coffeemaker a few months ago when it was a DOD for $30, so $20 is an even GREATER DEAL!!! I'd totally jump on this if I needed another one, but actually, I bought 2 last time! :-) It brews excellent coffee quietly and effectively, doesn't burn it or anything unpleasant. The thermal carafe is, of course, very convenient, and unlike some of them (Black & Decker comes to mind), pours very well. Really beats having to brew it into a glass carafe, transfer the coffee to a separate thermal carafe, and ending up with TWO carafes to clean at the end of the day. Now, admittedly, the thumb-activated button that you push to engage the pour is a little underengineered, but if you handle it gingerly to begin with and don't get too forceful and kind of break it (as I did) you'll be just fine. Oh, and the water filter is kind of useless--it filters heated water coming out of the showerhead instead of before it even enters the system (as it should). So I don't even mess with it. Reading some of the negative reviews here, I can't understand the problems these people are having with the cold carafe & such. Yeah, maybe it's not going to keep coffee hot ALL day, but I brew a pot at about 2.pm every day, my coworkers & I pretty much empty all but a cup or two immediately, and I'll grab the remaining cup or so around 5:30 and it's perfectly drinkable. The thermal carafe does just fine, if you don't expect the world of it. It's a machine, not a messiah. Geez. Another complaint I read was that the cord is a bit on the short side. True, but c'mon. Are we really going to complain about a short cord? What are we, 3 years old? Repeat: $20 Thermal Carafe Coffee Maker. Deal with it. The one I keep at home is next to the sink, so I can use my pull-out faucet (you could use a sink sprayer too, I imagine) to fill it directly into the reservoir--bypassing the need to use the carafe to fill it. So, if you wanted you could heat up the carafe with hot water without interference from filling it with cold water (as one reviewer complained). I've had no problems with leaks or anything, as some others contend they have. Overall, it's a great coffee maker and for $20 you really, really can't go wrong. Heck, the carafe, alone, is worth it..

This brewer is very easy to use, and brews great coffee.

This Mr Coffee model is full featured by at a reasonable cost, especially when you get it on sale. It brews quickly and at a good temperature. Note that it is takes the basket type filter, not a conecshaped filter.

I've been a coffee drinker for about 10 years+ and enjoy and early cup (and cups through out the morning). This machine is easy to use, to program, and makes tasty coffee.

I had previously owned this coffee maker before purchasing a Keurig. After a while I wanted to go back to a full coffee maker but had given my old one to my brother. There was no doubt about my purchasing this coffee maker. Sturdy machine, makes a great pot of coffee, easy to see the water level, basket is easy to remove for rising. And it looks good on the counter.

Had my house guests set it up and use it. It leaked coffee all over counter when poring coffee into mugs . Nobody realized it required yet another rubber seal to go around it. Another thing to break and have to buy . Disappointed totally . Shame on Mr. Coffee, a coffee pot should be simple easy to set up and stress free.

Easy to use, carafe keeps the coffee perfect for hours / the timer works great to have coffee ready when you wake up. Must pour the water in slowly to prevent spilling.

It is warm for a long time. Taste is good. That has no problem for 2months. It works well.

There is a gasket on the lid that gets out of place very easily. When it is out of place most of the coffee ends up on the counter. I brewed 7 cups and got 2 cups of coffee and the rest is on the counter and in the cabinet drawers. the coffee is hot. It is very easy to use. It chimes when the coffee is ready. It's great. But - coffee is every where.

The flawor and strenght of the coffee is very good, We drink a lot of coffee in this house and I started looking for a replacement immediately.

This product has a lot of nice features and is very easy to use.

The carafe stays hot for a long time. I didn't check and accidentally burned my tongue over two hours after it brewed. The coffee was still fairly warm about 6 hours or so later. Works very well. We had guests over for several days it it really came in handy.

I bought this during the Deal of the Day. It is a nice insulated coffee pot. My only problem is the top doesn't unscrew, it more turning it. If you do not put the top on right, it will leak around the side. I wished it screwed on.

Now, I don't have to go out and spend daily 3-4 bucks on coffee from outside. I biught this and my favorite coffee and it's so good. I make coffee for breakfast and then take it to office as well. The best thing about this machine is that I time it and don't have to worry. A good buy.

I bought this for my elderly mom. She says that she finds it confusing to use and that the carafe hold less coffe than she had expected. The up side is that the codfeee stays hot in the insulated carafe.
