I have had other laptops and this one surpasses them all. It's fast. I've always built my own desktops and now I don't need a desktop anymore. I have not found anything this computer can't do. I will need an external disk drive but that won't be an issue.

This Laptop is awesome. I bought It as a gift and it did not disappoint. It has great features and was priced reasonably. It plays games extremely well, runs macro for mobile game farming, and looks great.

Wife needed a gaming laptop

Bought this laptop since it had all the spec's and power that my wife would need when playing games from it and using some animation programs on it. Works without a problem. Price was a little high, but it is BestBuy not Newegg. Took about 2-3 weeks to get the computer to come into the store to pick it up. Would be nice to have had one for sell at the location without ordering it.
PS purchased a M.2 drive with 500G to increase storage space.

It is horrible. I give it 2 stars because the display is quite nice and gets bright with amazing viewing angles. But it gets too hot, so much that using the keyboard makes your palm sweat. It screams like a jet taking off that over powers my Astro A40's; but it still can't stop thermal throttling. All this within ONE match. Not even a good work computer, keyboard isn't great and the size more like a semi-portable desktop than a laptop. And for the price, just move on.

Got this Laptop so I can play Oculus rift on the road. It is a great gaming laptop, very powerful, plays PUBG, and Fortnite at max settings with ease. But even though it says it is a VR laptop, it's really not. Every time I tried to play the VR this laptop would over heat and lock up. I never even overclocked it. I bought a Laptop cooler, but still didn't help, so I returned it, and I'm still searching for my VR laptop for the road.

This is my third MSI gaming laptop. I currently do not see any reason why I would go with a different brand at this time. However, a few things that set this apart from my last two. My first two have ZERO to near ZERO bloatware pre-installed. This one does. This is probably consistent with other new models. The model, and many new models, do not have a DVD drive installed. This is not a big deal to me as I nave not installed any programs from DVD in a number of years. The result is this laptop is a lot thinner and lighter than my other two. This may or may not lead to heat concerns by having a more closed in space. This particular build the cooling fan will start up as soon as you start a game. The laptop is not even warm. The other two I had included easy to find settings to only turn the fan on when the laptop started getting warm. Also on previous builds the Killer Network did a really good job of minimizing other programs during game play. this machine has a lot more power than i have ever had but the Killer seems to not minimize other programs anymore. Don't get me wrong. this is a GREAT computer and the graphics are simply stunning.

This laptop is great but it gets decently hot after a while. If the keyboard lights are on, they also get a bit toasty. No complains about the functions of the laptop, it works great and runs super fast. Good weight, easy to move around. Overall it is a great laptop, just prepare for it to get toasty after a while of use.

This laptop is pretty much the best you can get unless you're trying to fork out enormous sums for one with a 1080 in it. The 1070 performs great and I can play everything at Max settings. The display being 120hz is nice but it's hard to notice like you would with a real desktop monitor. This thing performs so we'll though that I use it as a replacement for my current desktop. I use HDMI to hook up to my monitor. My only wish is for DVI connection to get the full use of that 1070 with my monitors but I'm still plenty satisfied with everything it does. The keyboard is steelseries which is nice but the software that is supposed to coordinate with the keyboard to provide lighting configurations sucks. It doesn't work often and when it does it is rather confusing. Ive just opted for a secondary Razer keyboard and that solves that problem. Overall I'd give it a 9/10. It doesn't have a 1080 but for 1600$ I ain't complaining. And then the steelseries software really isn't up to par.

This is a great VR ready laptop gaming computer. The boot up process is super fast thanks to the SSD hard drive, and the 1 TB hard drive has all the space you need. I would give 5 star review if the SSD was just a bit more space, as it only allows for the OS and 1 game to install before it is full.

This is a very fast machine. No waiting for things to load etc.
My one complaint is the touch pad which is not that good and tends to respond even when its not really touched. Disable it with Fn F3.

Everything is great on this gaming laptop, aside from 2 things:
1. I wish the graphics card was a 1080 or 1080ti.
2. On basic laptop settings, battery still dies quick. However, this laptop may stay plugged in at all times, and will not destroy the battery. AN EXCELLENT FEATURE.

Don't buy a laptop with a 128gb SSD as the main dr

Not sure who the genius was that determined a 128gb SSD was enough to use as a main drive but they missed the mark on this. Windows 10 and office 365 have to run on the main drive that's nearly 80gb gone all the bloat needed to operate the laptops unique bells and whistles and windows downloads take up all but 20gb now I'm always low on hard drive. Someone should retrain that engineer or send them to work the cafeteria. Everything I can put onto the second drive I have done to include moving the documents folder and all the install to reference. Doesn't make any sense. Even though I'm using it for it's intended purpose very little the first game I installed would not run from the second drive had to install it to the main drive. Good thing it's a small set of files.

This Laptop is a super solid performer, it does live up to its "VR Ready" label and runs the Oculus very strongly. Over all very happy with this buy. Note I have owned this for a year and a half now.

Great computer for starting out. I would prefer a 1080 and larger SSD drive.
