Hinge breaks
||Posted . Owned for 4 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Got it for Christmas and it’s been great up until the hinge on the left snapped. There is a lot of pressure on the hinge and the hinge itself is metal, but all the pieces holding it together are plastic and they snapped

Phantom Keystrokes
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Returned within 48 hours. The build seems like good quality, and had a good screen, but I was getting phantom keystrokes all over the keyboard. I don't know if it was just my unit, or if it's a larger problem, but I returned it and got something else.

Had to reformat 5 times in a week due to drivers.
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Makes me sad, This PC looks amazing, but the build quality was lacking. It felt cheap and the track pad was loose. It had amazing performance when the drivers worked. I had to reformat this computer 5 times due to driver issues it would blue screen and force a factory reset. First reformat was within 1 hour of owning the laptop. On the 5th factory reset it didnt recognize the CPU anymore and one of the USB ports stopped working entirely. So I traded it in for a Omen 16 2022 which I LOVE so far. To be fair, it is known AMD Radeon GPUs can have driver issues but I never thought it would be anything like this.

Poor design

Owned for 6 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Hinges Broke after 7months of use, was more than careful after reading reviews about the hinges… not buying this brand again. This laptop was laterally stationary, why would you have such a poor design… sigh…

Superior Laptop at This Price-point
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I’ll start by saying that the MSI - Delta 15.6" FHD 240hz Gaming Laptop with Ryzen R7-5800 and Radeon RX6700M, is a steal at the listed price. Human perception is hard pressed to see the difference in speed so I did rely on looking at some researched numbers and suffice to say that a gaming laptop with twice the price can perform about 1% faster based on published benchmarks using the same DDR4 memory and that was in single core performance. Multi-core results showed this machine as almost 5% faster compared to some higher priced machines with different CPU's. As I say human perception may not note these differences. This laptop is top notch quality and the design is beautiful. Backlit keyboard is absolutely spot on with no glare yet easily seen keys – which is not always true with backlit keyboards that blast the light out or disappear when you lower the lumens; MSI engineers got it just right. Metal chassis is strong and ensures the keyboard and touchpad have a solid base – very nice. I actually felt the touchpad was the best I’ve used in terms of smoothness and the left/right clicks. Speakers were okay, but not great. This baby is backed by 10GB GDDR6 dedicated video memory and internal 16 GB memory and a whopping 1TB SSD. Yikes great specs. The screen is gorgeous with vibrant colors and of course super fast color changes when I used several different PC games. I did have to update to Windows 11, but it was very quick. I should mention the IPL time from off to fully operational was mere seconds. I also updated the BIOS to get everything totally up to date. I did uninstall the existing Norton and reinstalled my own Norton since the installed version was only a 2 month trial. By the way I tried to update the installed Norton with my own key but it got confused so that’s why I uninstalled the pre-installed version (in case this point helps someone). The fan is a little loud at times. You can utilize the MSI Center Software to calibrate fan speed and more. But I let the machine find its own level since it wasn’t all that loud and I wanted to ensure the best cooling for a laptop with such a powerful CPU and GPU lineup. I would highly recommend this powerhouse gamer. MSI has produced a fantastic machine at this price point.

Poor build quality
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Poor quality. The first one I had kept freezing. This one lasted a week. While closing the lid I heard a loud crack. The flimsy huge broke and the lcd split open. A piece of garbage stay clear of this one.

Not worth it!
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I don't understand all the great reviews, because this laptop is awful. I couldn't get most of my games to load, they'd almost always crash right away. The MSI software liked to freeze whenever I tried to use it. It just was not a good experience so I returned it and ended up getting an Asus that so far is working 10x better than this MSI laptop did. I would steer clear of this laptop, the price was good when it was on sale but it was not worth the headaches and issues I dealt with.

so-so gaming laptop, low quality hinges
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.fast comp with nice graphics. now that a few years have gone by I have a better understanding of the machine. The hinge to open and close is very cheap and makes a hard bending and jerking (almost breaking noise) when adjusting the monitor forward after it is already open. The comp also overheats and shutdowns occasionally when, for whatever reason, the fan doesn't engage high performance mode. Watch out if the machine is silently running because your fan is bugged and it is probably ripping hot... the LED lights are also a pain in the keester to keep on and the shortcut key to enable them doesn't work so you have to go through the software to enable or change the colors. The WSAD have all but worn away from regular use but that is not really an issue... the hinge is the most annoying thing that makes this review 2 stars, otherwise, decent machine and has served me faithfully with only some issues.

Beautiful laptop for anyone in the market
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I'm a pretty casual gamer but like things to run smoothly when I do play. I love Diablo and have recently been trying Fortnite. This laptop works so well. The video is crisp and nothing lags like the desktop I was using previously. The color shift keyboard adds a nice touch while the construction of the laptop itself is loaded with little touches to go above and beyond. I always picture big, bulky and loud when I hear gaming laptop but this beauty is none of those things. The fans work very well and are so much quieter than I've experience in the past. Set up was a breeze and I've been able to install games with ease as well. I like the screen size, it's big enough to enjoy watching a movie and I can still hook up external monitors if I really want to zone out to a game for a while. My mouse connected easily and I've honestly had no issues or complaints with this laptop and I'd highly recommend this to anyone looking for a laptop that just works like it should.

Quick and Light
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. So as technology updates, things just get faster and faster, in small packages. This laptop packs a punch. Out of the box, it is slick and sleek, and ready to go. It is a smaller form-factor laptop, when compared to other similar "spec'd" laptops. My first minor nit pick, is that the adapter is big... really big. and heavy. It also isn't using a USB-C style connector, so once again we have an OEM adapter, and with one this size... going to be a downer to carry it around all over when needed. Once getting started, Windows 10 takes it sweet time to get up and running, and you are going to have a bunch of updates, including an important firmware update for the hardware, which will take some time. After that... that is when the fun started. This machine boots in seconds. From total power off, to full screen login, I would say under 30s if not quicker. It is crazy fast. The touch pad is a little sensitive, but most gamers are going to use an external mouse. The keyboard does NOT have the numeric keypad, for those that use that for gaming. You are going to want an external keyboard. Here is some of my additional issues come into, which resulted with the one start deduction (This can easily be a 5 star, if these things are not important). Limited USB ports... With an external mouse and keyboard, that will use the ones you have. so you will need a hub or dock for additional. Only an HDMI output. I know HDMI is the more general one out there, but a Display Port (mini), would work really good too. The power on button, is on the keyboard, under the monitor. Doesn't sound bad at first, but if you use this on a desk, with a monitor, you will need to open up the laptop, turn it on... and close it, etc... would be nice if the power button was out on the outside. No hardline ethernet jack, only WiFi. WiFi has some lag, and I like to hardline... so had to use a USB->Ethernet adapter. Back to the good: Hardware specs, you should need much more now days. 16gb of memory and 1tb of storage is really big. Some games may need more, but you would have to trade weight and size, to get much larger then 1tb. The processor and Video is top notch for a laptop. downside, no chance of upgrading... so buy big so you can get the value out of it for a while. Now for game play, so far no issues... loaded up Sims4 (my wife's favorite), and then loaded of Call of Duty... solid play with good screen resolution and response, very happy with it. Won't be able to test it out for League of Legends for a few weeks, till my son is back from school Overall... a very solid machine. One thing I am anxious to see, is how compatible it is with Windows 11 when it is released.

I'm Blown Away!!!
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This BEAST of a laptop is incredible. It plays everything I have thrown at it so effortlessly. The design is sleek and simple. I love the lighting effects for the keyboard and such. The display is super sharp. I was honestly disappointed that it was only 1080p but I am over that cause it looks so crystal clear and the response time is awesome. No ghosting or lag that I have seen at all on the screen. The performance itself is second to none as far as I'm concerned. It boots up so quickly and I am playing my games in just a few seconds. I have all the games I have played set to max and it plays flawlessly. The battery life is average for this type of rig, which is pretty common. The sound isn't bad for what it is but I would definitely recommend an headset for best sound. All in all, I am soooooooo super happy with this thing and I will be playing all my games on it from now on. Great product MSI.

NOT VR READY, crashes computer
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It's a beatiful, solidly constructed gaming computer and works incredibly well, unless you are using it for VR. Anything that was too demanding would cause it to completely restart. No program crash. Full computer crash. I wanted to love it but I need to be able to use it for VR.

Quality gaming laptop with proper specs
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. For the price range, this is a proper mid range laptop with quality built. Every spec on this is up to date and performs at every level for a casual to amateur gamer. Excellent silky smooth screen would make this laptop great for any non gamer too. My only ripe on this, is that I wish it was a 2K resolution rather than a 1080. Aluminum finish, light and on the thinner size, generous speedy 1TB SSD and Good pricing but better pricing when it’s on sale. 4 stars. Easy. Thanks.

Sucks. Not worth it.
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It sucked hybrid graphics are lame and a P.I.T.A. Games wouldn't run correctly, like Forza would only use integrated graphics instead of dedicated and when you turned off integrated the pc would become a potato.

Virus prone
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this for my son for his birthday. The 2nd day he had it it got a virus. I called MSI support and they confirmed the virus. It wouldn’t get past the logo screen. Had to return and went with Alienware instead.

Dual Duty Beauty!
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The MSI Delta 15 gaming laptop is the next step in the evolution of gaming laptops. Up until now, gaming laptops have been specialty devices, more luggable than laptops, big, weighty, hot, and highly stylized. They were great for gaming, but for general use, maybe not so much. Enter the MSI Delta 15! The MSI Delta 15 really is a double duty computer. It has replaced both my gaming rig and my day to day laptop. Kind of a 'Business Meets Pleasure' computer, it is pretty much perfectly placed for the hybrid or remote office worker/gamer. At 15 inches, the display is large enough to be readable without increasing the font scaling. As an everyday laptop, it has a bright, beautiful 1080p display viewable at wide angles, long (really long!) battery life, great performance, and cool running operation. The keyboard and trackpad are both excellent, with great touch, feel, and feedback. While not an ultraportable, at a smidge over four pounds and only 3/4" thick, it's easily carried. Battery life, with a mixture of web browsing, email, videos, and office stuff was around 10 hours, more than enough to get through a day. As a gaming laptop, the MSI Delta 15 really shines. The processor and graphics card kick into high gear and the battery life drops dramatically! Every game I loaded maxxed out the video and performance parameters. With a 240 hz screen, there was NO tearing or smearing no matter how fast the action was. Frame rates in all games (Horizon Zero Dawn, Borderlands 3, Borderlands 2, Warframe) all measured at or above 100FPS at 1080p. There is no Ethernet port, but the WiFi6AX-e extension seemed to keep the wireless packets flowing with no noticeable network lag. An Ethernet expander could be connected to one of the USB ports. I mostly use headphones, but the speakers have surprisingly good audio quality, with good sound separation and only a little light on the bass. The webcam, well, it's a webcam. I did try the HDMI port connected to a 4K monitor at 60hz with no problem. One USB-c port is 3.1gen2 compatible and can be connected to a DP port on a high refresh rate external monitor (not tried). Battery life while gaming at maxxed game settings shrank the battery life to about a hour and a half. I could extend that by dialing back some of the in game settings a bit, which didn't really seem to affect game play, but did stretch the battery life out to about four hours and seemed to run a lot cooler. If gaming with maxxed settings, I'd recommend operating plugged in and with the unit off your lap - it does get warm. Additionally, I did some video rendering (transcoding some videos from a GoPro) which completed in less than half the time my I7 desktop takes. Video operations were really fast and the bright, sharp screen made it easy to edit. I have a new video editing station! If I had to find faults, I would say that the lack of an Ethernet port is a bit of a minus, and the keyboard is not a full sized (101 key) keyboard. But really, these are very minor issues. Oh, and I should note no USB charging - just too much power required for a USB charger. MSI really hit the sweet spot with the MSI Delta 15, comfortable in the office and the game station, or any application needing a high performance laptop. I highly recommend the MSI Delta 15, it's definitely worth a look.
