Battery life nowhere near claims
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. They claim the MSI Delta 15" is good for over 9.5 hrs of battery life. That's a flat out lie. After 10 charge cycles, mine is good for just 3.5 hours with only moderate taxing use.

Powerful and Versatile
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was very intrigued to get my hands on one of these new laptops that utilized both AMD`s processor and new graphics card to which this did not disappoint. I have used my fair share of Intel, Nvidia, and AMD components to which this laptop seems to be one of the best bang for your buck laptops with its use of an AMD processor and graphics card combined with its versatility. Firstly, the build quality is the first thing I noticed taking it out of the box as MSI definitely put out a quality built laptop here that is first apparent with the metal cover. The first aspect that sets this "gaming" laptop apart is how versatile it is in its appearance as it does not have the flashy RGB or odd angles and big flashy letters to which it instead sports a very symmetrical and professional look as the only logo is the MSI block logo on the cover that is very subtle. This is nice as I can use it in a library or in a classroom without drawing a lot of attention that I`m using a gaming laptop for everyday work as it is extremely visually appealing. The other element that makes this laptop feel more on the business or everyday use of the spectrum are the keys. The keys do not have much travel and are on the lighter side which isn`t the greatest for gaming in my opinion. However, this allows this gaming laptop to be one of the lightest and thinnest I have ever used which is a great way to offset the lack of more of a gaming keyboard. Moving onto performance is where I`m sure a lot of people are intrigued as to how this new AMD combo compares to Nvidia graphics cards to which it definitely holds it own and gives Nvidia a run for its money. At first I was skeptical that I would achieve high enough performance to utilize the laptop`s 240hz screen, but once again I was impressed as on less demanding games such as Overwatch, Doom Eternal, and FIFA I was able to hit over 200 fps on medium settings and then even on more demanding games like Far Cry 6, Assassins Creed Valhalla, and Deathloop I was able to hit around 70 fps on Ultra Settings!! This laptop was able to handle nearly everything I threw at it. There were two minor hiccups that occurred during my testing though with the first being the use of ray tracing as the laptop really struggled when playing with ray tracing on, but when turned off it appeared to run much better. Then a minor issue was just that the laptop seems to run extremely warm, but this seems to be an issue that nearly every gaming laptop faces currently. Then the final item I want to mention along the lines of performance is the battery life as thing lasted forever on a charge compared to other gaming laptops and the aspect that amazed me the most was that this laptop is lighter and thinner than nearly every other gaming laptop I`ve used so how they managed to achieve this is beyond me, but it truly is amazing. Overall, this laptop is at the top of the mountain when it comes to a versatile laptops that tiptoes that fine line between a gaming and everyday use. The slim and sleek design combined with the superior performance of the "AMD Advantage" of utilizing both an AMD processor and graphics card is a near perfect match. If the ray tracing issue was improved even slightly then this would be an absolute perfect laptop, but still at this price point I would not hesitate to recommend this laptop as the versatility and performance are things extremely difficult to find in the laptop space, especially in this price range!

What a pleasant surprise.
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have 17 inch laptop but need a more portal one. I traveled with my 17.4 and airport screening sucks. I traveled out of country once already and was so afraid to use bring it. Now comes with smaller and more compact gaming laptop. MSI has really set this up well. Already played my go to game crisys and Forza Motorsports 6. both run beautiful. I don't have any problems running full screen and max setting on both games. I am typing the review on the MSI and the keyboard is awesome. 1. Form factor is so nice for a 15 inch gaming laptop. 2. Battery last so much longer than I'm used to 6 plus hours watching youtube is a legit thing you will be inpressed. 3. Games are actually really playable. Foirza 6 plays amazing with all details turned up and i used a xbox wired controller to really get a feel for the game. played for 2 plus hours straight. 4. Wifi and Bluetooth are amazing. connection is fast and stable for both. My router is wifi 6. Recommend upgrading to take advantage of the faster wifi speed less lag on wifi 6 and 6e. 5. Updates are actually easy to install with MSI. My dell took some getting used to. 6. Don't upgrade to windows 11 on this all AMD system. Many reported bugs and performance issue's after upgrading to windows 11 on AMD systems. Wait till windows fixes . until then I will stay on windows 10 and keep my gaming performance.

Great gaming laptop, if you can stand the heat.
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The MSI Delta 15 is a out of the box ready gaming laptop that is here to rival Nvidia's 30 series. They offer some of the greatest and latest tech but seem to fall short in a few small areas. Regardless of what your preference is when it comes AMD or Nvidia this gaming laptop is sure to handle any AAA gaming you throw at it. The Delta 15 offers a nice sleek and simplistic look to its design. It doesn't have that typical over the top look that most gaming laptops have and at first glance most people won't even know that it is a gaming laptop. You will get four usb 3.2 ports, with two of them being a type C, a 3.5mm audio port and a hdmi port. You will also find that there is no ethernet jack and connection to the internet is done wirelessly. The 15" FHD display offers a nice quality picture with very smooth transitioning at 240hz. High pace FPS games such as COD, or Apex will offer clean frame rates with no screen tearing or ghosting. The keys are backlight with adjustable colors for those that prefer rgb lighting. The scroll pad as removed the left and right button in favor of the piece design. Not a big deal as your going to want a separate mouse anyways for your high pace shooters. Battery life will yield about 10 hours on normal settings and about 6 to 8 hours with everything maxed out. There are no biometrics for security such as a fingerprint scanner of facial recognition. Let's talk about the hardware for a second cause this is one the things that stood out to me right out of the gate. The laptop is utilizing AMD's Ryzen's 5800H processer which comes in at 3.2ghz or 4.4ghz when boosted, paired with its Radeon RXX 6700 gpu. It's base clock speed is a little low for a gaming laptop in my opnion however it can be ramped up to 4.4 ghz however at max throttle, temps climb and they climb fast. I have owned several gaming laptops and i understand that cooling is always a issue due to the compact space that everything has however this laptop has to be one the hottest running laptops i have every owned. GPU temps were maxing out in the high 80s with most temps staying around 88°C. The bottom of the laptop was so hot there was absolutely no way i could have this placed on my lap. Worst of all the temp was transition its way to the keys and temps could be felt with each key stroke. Although i was sure performance would throttle down it never did and temps seemed to remain under control even though they ran high. Also when the dual fans come on they are noisy to the point of needing headphones just to blur them out. The Delta 15 also comes equipped with a 1TB ssd hard drive which makes booting done in a matter of seconds and allows for quicker load times of games. There is an additional m.2 slot which is nice to add some more memory. One thing that kinda stood out was the fact that this unit having some of the latest and greatest features is still running gen 3 PCIe instead of gen 4. Its not that big of a deal as i have a full gen 4 set up and performance difference between the two is very minimal however just weird to see they wouldn't upgrade to the latest and newest. Let's talk gaming performance for a sec. When AAA games was a breeze and never once did i feel the Delta 15 couldn't handle it. Even though the screen does not support AMD's Freesync technology (which is kind of weird that it wouldn't) all games ran smooth with framerates sitting at around 60 fps with max settings on games like God of War or Horizon. My 3DMark timespy test came back with a score of 7982 which all things consider was not half bad for a laptop. Here's the bottom line. If your looking for a gaming laptop right out of the box and your not too tech savvy this may be the way to go for you. It's going to give you the upper edge with its 240hz monitor and the hardware that is packed in here is going to insure that you run just about everything that is out there. Future proof wise, this set up should be good for the next 5 years. The fact that you can add more memory to give you some wiggle room in the way of expansion is a nice feature as well. However keep in mind this laptop runs very hot and is very noisy. If you do proceed with the purchase of this unit you may want to invest in a separate bottom mount cooler and separate keyboard and mouse set up. For those of you that know what you want and have been in the PC gaming world for awhile you may want to look elsewhere. The fact that the processor has a max speed of 4.4ghz gives you limited ability to max out your settings. The lack of this unit being PCIe 4 means that your probably not going to be able to upgrade DDR5 even if you wanted to. The fact that your only given 1 additional m.2 slot means your going to have to pay a premium if you want to upgrade your memory. With most games coming out now being close to 50 gigs and up this means your going to run out of space fast or your going to have to pay a arm and a leg for a 4TB SSD. This is still a great gaming laptop but these are a few things to keep in mind when considering purchasing this unit.

Incredible performance, excellent build quality
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Delta 15 is an absolutely stunning laptop that might be the most shocking product I've seen yet from MSI. I've had several MSI motherboards (including the Z490 in my current desktop) and I've always thought of MSI as more of a quality value brand rather than a true top dog in the gaming PC world. In the case of the Delta 15, they've upped their game in every conceivable way from my previous experience with the brand. The build quality of the Delta 15 is excellent - it feels solid with almost zero flex. Grasping both sides and applying a little torque with the display open, you can see but not really feel any give in the keyboard - this is excellent especially in a thin and light gaming PC. Honestly the aspect I was most concerned about for the Delta 15 was the MSI software control center as that can make or break a gaming laptop. I'm happy to report that the new MSI Center (no more Dragon branding) is PHENOMENAL - it works perfectly and has a hotkey above the keyboard to rapidly change cooling/performance modes. Kudos to MSI for this improvement. Performance wise, the Delta 15 hits all the high notes you'd hope for in a gaming laptop in this price range and form factor. The RX 6700M is targeted at 1440p gaming, but seeing this device has a 1080p, 240hz panel, it offers the perfect amount of performance for eSports games like Overwatch or Valorant. In either game I was exceeding 120 FPS with max settings at 1080p. Connected to my 4K60 monitor, I was able to max settings and stay above 60 FPS in Overwatch. I also tested Star Wars: The Old Republic (a notoriously poorly optimized MMO) and found that at 1440p, the laptop was able to maintain 30 FPS in all but the most crazy PVP fights. SWTOR only uses 2 threads and is heavily CPU limited, so this performance was exactly what I would expect for the Ryzen 7 5800H. The absolute worst drops were about 15% slower than what my overclocked 10600k manages in my desktop PC. Using AMD's Radeon overlay, you can see that with MSI's "Extreme Performance" cooling mode, the GPU draws 100W and pretty much stays there all the time, often staying above 2.3ghz in games. At this setting, the laptop is quite loud but that's to be expected. I used an infrared thermometer to measure the temperature of the top deck, above the keyboard, and was reading 135º F in a game with GPU usage at 100%. Gaming on the 240hz display is amazing - the refresh rate and response times are perfect and the color quality and black levels are superb. Viewing angles are a bit reduced, to be expected for a 240hz panel, but they are not so bad that you have to be perfectly on plane with the screen. I want to touch on the black levels again because I was really, really impressed with the display here - this screen is far superior color and black level wise vs the display in my Surface Book 3 or a competitor's 15" gaming laptop that I just received. The keyboard is RGB lit and controlled through MSI's Mystic Light tab in MSI Center. Easy to customize if you want to pursue that. The keys and touchpad feel about like what I expect from a premium laptop, no better or worse. Connectivity is excellent with two minor issues: no ethernet jack, and no USB-C power input. The ethernet jack omission is understandable in a thin and light laptop, but it would have been really, really nice if the Delta 15 had integrated USB-C PD into the port so you could charge the MSI in a pinch with a generic 65W adapter that works with your phone and work laptop (would make air travel nicer!). I am very pleased to report that the USB-C with alt mode works perfectly with a USB-C docking station I use for my work laptop (outputting 4k60 with DP), as well as a USB-C 7 port hub I use for travel (outputting 1440p 60 through HDMI). I do not currently have an HDMI 2.x monitor for 4K so I didn't have a way to test this. All in all, this is one of the best executed products I've had the pleasure of reviewing for Tech Insider Network and I am really pleased to recommend it.

MSI should be at the top of your list
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The MSI Delta Series in a 15.6" FHD 240hz screen is a powerhouse Gaming Laptop. With the Ryzen R7-5800 processor and Radeon RX6700M graphics card, you cannot go wrong at this price point compared to others. With a nicely sized 1TB SSD hard drive and 16GB Memory of board memory, this is a true powerhouse lap top for gaming under $2k. Once I opened up the packaging, I dug right into setup with was effortless, no freezing like my wife's brand new Dell we got the same day which froze 2 times during setup. After setting up accounts, the first thing I did was download the software I need for gaming and streaming from Steam, Blizzard, Stream Deck, Discord and more and had zero issues with any of the software installing or loading up. The USB-C helped with getting the Stream Deck setup and used a splitter to also run my 4K camera at the same time through the USB-C port. I added a 4K monitor for my watching my outside game stats and chat to see how well it could perform. I can say, other than no MUX support, it works flawlessly The Radeon RX6700M graphics card works amazing with the 240hz screen for the most amazing graphics experience you could ask for, even for being a smallish 15.6" screen. If this was a 17" or 19" laptop, this would be a daily driver laptop for gaming for myself. The screen is a huge selling point in my opinion, the buttery smoothness and colors are what I could see the developers using to create their games. The Ryzen R7-5800 processor was never over worked for me at all. The highest I seen during testing running WarZone along with Discord, Stream Deck and Streaming to Twitch, not one time did I have a slow down or any glitching. Between the Ryzen R7, which I have switched all my computers to Ryzen over the past 2 years, and the 16GB of memory, you should not have an issue for streaming through this MSI laptop. Now, the one thing that kills me is the lack of an Ethernet cable. I run all my gaming through the ethernet. But, if you have a router with WiFi 6E support, you are going to be fine. I do have 6E support within my house so I was able to benefit from amazing WiFi speeds on this laptop. But, I took it outside and walked about 100 feet from my house, I then found its downfall, 6E does not like interference or distance. I did order extra SSD space for the 2 slots that are left open for you to expand your MSI Laptop to handle all the large games and software you can throw at it. Temps are high during heavy gaming, yes, the fan kicks on and you can feel it move the heat through the many vents on this laptop. Did it cause an issue? NO, the MSI kept on ticking no matter what. The fan is also super quiet compared to the Dell, barely notable to be honest. And last, I want to bring up the design. It is simple, clean, thin, and light. The keyboard lighting is amazing as well and the keys are a great size for gaming and placed well. I tried the stock and my own keyboard, the onboard is not lacking in feel and responsiveness. Do not be afraid to buy this laptop, MSI is a top tier product and I am overly impressed with the quality and feel for the money.

Great laptop with fully upgradeable memory.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. If you can pick this up at the sale price (1300) it is the best in its class atm. I originally went for the asus g15, but that had so many screen issues I had to go through 3 in 24hrs before giving up. This MSI performs comparable and has much better build quality imo. Battery has been impressive so far and games are wonderful. I would consider this laptop a bit of a gem considering both RAM slots are fully upgradeable to 64gb (not soldered to the board) unlike most laptops on the market now. It also has an extra m.2 slot. If you are looking for full upgradeability and don't mind a little more work taking it apart to do those upgrades then this is the laptop for you.

Game On
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Upon opening the the MSI Delta 15 AMD Advantage™ Edition, you find a very nice looking, modern clean laptop. Sporting an AMD graphics chip and Ryzen CPU combined with a Gen 4 NVMe drive and 16 gigs of RAM should be a great combination for gaming. The keypad is backlit and can be turned off, or the color of the backlighting can be changed by pressing the F8 key to give either a solid color or a pulsing color, including cycling through various shades and sporting a very responsive trackpad. Logged into the Xbox app and since this doesn't have a wired ethernet port, I used a USB gigabit NIC, which the laptop quickly discovered and installed drivers for it. Tested with Dragon Quest Vi S Definitive Edition. Started the game and set resolution to 4K, you could change the refresh rate in the game to higher refresh, but if VSYNCH is enabled you’ll be stuck at 60 FPS anyway. The game looked really good, the display on the MSI Delta 15 is very good, brilliant lighting, colors well saturated without being over saturated, nothing to complain about here. However, gaming at 4K 60fps is far more taxing than gaming at 1080P at 240fps. The system for the most part handled the game fairly well at 4K, but the system still stuttered while gaming. I was gaming on the laptop only, no external power, no external monitor, or external sound device. Gaming at 4K really taxed the battery life, started the game with 79% available battery, after only a little over an hour, I was down to only 3% of my available battery charge. The internal speakers are good, but not great, the best part of this laptop is the display and the graphics. So is it a great laptop for gaming, yes but mainly at 1080P, definitely not a good choice for 4K gaming unless you are going to plug in the external power adapter, and then you might as well add some quality Bluetooth headphones, and if you are going to do all that might as well plug in an external high quality monitor for something larger than a 15 inch screen. Overall, the MSI Delta 15 AMD Advantage™ Edition is a very nice laptop for gaming, especially at 1080p. Sometimes it does stutter, at 4K. The negative is the battery life and the system does get hot and the fans kick on, if not well ventilated.

Nice foray into gaming laptop
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Likes: -Solid build, doesn’t feel like cheap plastic -Nice backlit keyboard, with adjustable colors -Generous palm rest -Keyboard has a nice feel to it, with positive action -Touchpad supports two-finger gestures for scrolling, back/forward, etc… -Compatible with Windows 11, and is eligible for a free upgrade, which you can implement right away, if you want to. -Powerhouse of a laptop Don’t like: -Power plug is almost in the middle of the left side - think it would be less awkward if it were closer to the rear of the laptop -You have to use the old-school power plug that comes with the laptop; you can’t charge via USB-C ports. I get that you’d probably need the extra juice if you’re working the laptop hard, but I also think it would be convenient if you could charge via USB-C ports in a pinch. -Home and End keys require you to press fn first. Not really a problem for games, but it’s really annoying if you expect your laptop to pull double-duty & be used for something other than gaming. -Lid is awkward/difficult to open unless you open it directly from the middle front, where there’s a small lip. If you try to open it from the sides, or even off-center on the front, there’s little to grasp to get the lid open. Miscellaneous thoughts: This is my first foray into a gaming laptop, and I’m more of a casual gamer anyway, so I wasn’t really sure what to expect. I’ve tried to run a few games on my ‘normal’ laptops before, but they only ran so-so, so I pretty much stuck to my desktop for games. After trying a few on this MSI Delta, I doubt I’ll go back to playing on my desktop again. This MSI easily ran Forza 5, and MS Flight Simulator, at their max settings. Neither game experienced any lag or video issues. And being able to run them at their highest settings bumped the game experience up to a whole different level. And, with the AMD Smartshift technology, there’s very little performance degradation when switching to battery. Overall, it’s a pretty decent machine; might even replace my desktop.

Excellent portable gaming/productivity laptop.
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The MSI Delta is a pretty good machine. Plays any game on Ultra settings without issue, though some games FPS drop into the low 30's. Crysis, Forza Horizon 4, FFXV, Farcry, WOW, Minecraft, Overwatch, Destiny 2, and COD all play well. The all metal case seems very durable. It's a very light laptop at under 5lbs. Lots of good crammed in this small package. Screen display is good, but not 4k good. The HD display improved once I updated the graphics drivers. It's still 1920x1080 which is perfectly fine for gaming. Battery life was awesome. Constant gaming drained it in just under 4 hours. You might get more time changing brightness, Game display setting, keyboard lighting, etc. Websurfing and streaming saw over 8 hours of battery life. Pretty impressive for sure. The 1TB SSD loads everything fast. Boot time was quick. For a laptop, the speakers are really good. A little tinny, but still good with nice clear sound. Dialogue is clear and easy to understand when watching videos and cutscenes. Bluetooth headphones connected easily with no noticeable lag when gaming. The cons and why it gets 4 stars from me- No Ethernet port (Wifi only) and no charging through the USB C port. This means you need to bring the proprietary charger with you. Other cons for me are the touchpad has no dedicated buttons while pressing on the pad to "click" takes more pressure than I'd like (But I'll use a mouse 95% anyway so no big deal) The keyboard is like most laptops, without great gaming feel or feedback. The fan is a lot more noisy than my other laptops.

Nice gaming computer
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I received item today thought the best buy tech insider network at no cost to give my unbiased opinion. My current gaming computers are a bit older, one has some graphics slowness and processor lag, the other is running out of memory. This unit solves them all for me with a nice 15.6" FHD 240hz Gaming Laptop - Ryzen R7-5800 - Radeon RX6700M - 1TB SSD - 16GB Memory. It is not a touchscreen, but I do not use that on my other computers much at all. The solid state is fast to boot, minimal lag. I do some minecraft, roblox, but play quite a bit of the Long Drive and Beam NG from steam. I playI racing games more than anything with Forza 4 and Asphalt 8 and 9. I have been been using 4k screens, this is full HD, but thus lack none of the luster, just as good. Great Black's and poping colors. The hardware is what makes this so pleasurable, ample storage, ram is quick with no hiccups, and graphics are smooth. I have used amd/radeon graphics cards (and amd main chips since my first home built computer in 1998) in several systems, and have never been let down. This is fairly thin, on the heavier side (compared to my surface 3) because of the components, very solid feel. It does not have a LAN port built in, but that does not bother me in most instances, because generally I use this on the go anyway. I have also installed cd/dvd/blu ray burning software and this does well with ripping through those. At this price point for a gaming computer of this build, it is very competative on whatever brand or vendor you may look at. I barely think of building my own systems because they make then so well now a days. I would recommend this to my family and friends, as well as to you.

Great specs in a thin, light, sleek design
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. There are a lot of things to like about this MSI Delta 15.6 FHD gaming laptop. Having owned other gaming laptops I appreciate the relatively slim, lightweight design that easily lends itself to portability. The chassis has a simple, sleek design that I prefer over the more traditional, flashy gaming laptop design. After having the chance to use this laptop for a number of days I’m very happy with the GPU performance, screen quality and typically, high quality gaming experience. The specs of this laptop are impressive considering the 1080p/240hz refresh rate screen, AMD Radeon RX6700M graphics card, Ryzen R7-5800 processor and 1TB SSD. WIFI performance has been good, but I’d opt for using a USB-Ethernet adapter. The backlit keyboard has a good feel and nice size for a variety of applications. I have mixed feelings about the mousepad and just don’t care for the feel of it as much as other laptops I have owned. Given that I’m not using the mousepad while gaming it’s not a major negative and is perhaps more personal preference than anything. The speakers are an interesting design in that they are located above the keyboard and also on the underside of the laptop. They provide adequate sound, but I don’t think the design lends itself to being the best sound quality. Battery performance has been good, but I tend to leave it plugged in for extended use at the higher 240hz refresh rate. Given the specs on this MSI gaming laptop the price is pretty reasonable given that one is getting a very nice processor, graphics card, 1TB SSD and 16GB RAM in a fairly thin, lightweight and sleek design. Especially for gamers, this MSI Delta laptop is a very nice choice.

Truly Exceptional Gaming Laptop
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The MSI Delta is a remarkable gaming laptop. The combination of the Ryzen R7-5800 CPU and the Radeon RX 6700M GPU have made gaming fun again. I am not a super gaming person, but I do enjoy some game time when I can get this thing out of the hands of my kids. The 240 Hz screen is beautiful and responsive, making game time even that much more fun. Maybe I haven't pushed this laptop hard enough, but I have found that the fan noise is negligible especially when I compare this machine to my 2 year old gaming laptop The keys have a good tactile feel and are spaced nicely for gaming and for general work. The only thing that I can't really comment on is battery life, as I have not used this laptop on battery power only. As with any machine with the high end specs that the MSI Delta has, I expect battery power would only be moderate at best. I have always tended to lean toward Intel and Nvidia, but this laptop has won me over to AMD. I truly believe this gaming machine is able to run any mainstream game available today on high or very high settings. Very fast, large hard drive, beautiful screen, backlit keys and good assortments of ports make this a very good buy for anyone looking to upgrade their gaming.

Gaming beast
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It's performance is really good. In games, this computer is effective at most titles. I ran APX legends and warthunder at well over 200 fps for example. The computer is also very well cooled, the keyboard deck never got uncomfortably hot, even under most loads. It's battery is also insane. Playing games without the charger isn't recommended as the Rx 6700 m chows power, but I could get eight to ten hours of productivity out of this thing. Its build quality is a little shoddy. The keyboard deck and back of the monitor are aluminium(very nice), but the bottom of the laptop and some other areas such as the vents and the hinges are plastic.

4k editor
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought it for editing 4k video. It isn't the smoothest or quickest replay but it allows me to get what I need done and it's portable. Snuggly fits in the felt pocket in my backpack. Didn't come with too much bloat ware. Runs a bit smoother without all the extra stuff in the background
