Great Windows Gaming Laptop for the (Sale) Price
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I am mainly a Mac user, but I wanted a new Windows laptop to play Age of Empires IV. (The 2016 HP Spectre I had could barely handle it.) This computer, on sale for $1299, seemed to be the best performance available in that price range. It’s also not absolutely hideous like most gaming laptops and seems to be well-built. Wish there was a higher resolution option in this price range though. For what I play, I’d gladly take 60 Hz 4k over 240 Hz 1080p, but it is what it is.

Best AMD gaming laptop yet.
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I am getting second thoughts buying a gaming laptop, and im very glad i didnt. When i purchased this one, i have no regrets of getting it. Since im looking for something that is both gaming and a workstation at the same time, this does not let me down. A ryzen 8 core cpu with a graphics card that has a same level ( or maybe more) as the rtx2060 on my desktop, this laptop is a powerhouse with a decent price below $1500. I recommed purchasing this one over the others.

Great amd labtop
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Works very well no problems very fast leave in extreme performance mode do all updates and bios updates. Remove the bloatware. Running gta5 fivem and bf4 works great. I got a cooling pad which helps keeps temps in check. I ran bf4 for 3 hours before battery warning popped up saying change battery i didn't even know it wasn't plugged in so battery life is great when gaming.

Powerful but loud and hot
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Really good computer overall only problem is this computers so thin and powerful it gets hot pretty quickly and the fans get going for just about everything you do so it pretty noisy most the time. Just wish it stayed cool and I’m using a cooling pad underneath so yeah.

Great for gaming. Fast and reliable.
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Was planning on getting a different computer for my daughter as she’s a huge gamer and her other laptop was a few years old. This was a great substitute and the employee was very knowledgeable with helping me get something comparable for the price. She loves it and can now play games that she wasn’t able to before due to the lower stats of her old laptop. Highly recommend this laptop for any gamers looking for a more affordable system.

The best buy
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great product, runs like lightning. Effortlessly handles high graphics setting on all games i regularly play like fallout, apex, and subnautica, while still serving as a great all around laptop for miscellaneous tasks like surfing the internet and writing papers.

Almost perfect laptop
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It is a beast of a computer for the price. It was almost too good to be true. Until the hinges broke. Be aware the hinge on this laptop are weak and this is a known msi issue that the manufacturer had and will not address.

Solid, fast, strong and quiet!
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great rig! Very quiet under load. Bought a cooling pad for it but probably isn’t required. Amazingly fast startup and low power consumption on battery. I’m also impressed by the video quality! The 10GB video card, coupled with 16GB of RAM makes for a lag and stutter free gaming experience. Probably one of the best purchases I have done in years.

My 2nd Fast and Superbly Engineered MSI Laptop
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Thin and lightweight, this laptop is easy to take with you. I use a laptop desk (board with padding under it) for sitting in the recliner. Heavy laptops get uncomfortable after a short time. But this is not the case with Delta 15. I gamed for hours and never felt its 4 lb. weight was uncomfortable. The battery life is really good. I used it all day at work, about 8 hours and it still had some power left. One thing I noticed, or didn’t is that the cooling fan were normally very quiet. It wasn’t till I was really pushing the laptop with all the settings maxed out that the fans hit max and were audible. Loud, yes, but not the worst I’ve used on a thin laptop. Getting the fan noise down would probably require a thicket laptop to accommodate a bigger fan, but who wants that? The built in speakers do an admirable job for their size, but headphones are best to eliminate the fan noise and other distractions. When you use external headphones, the Nahimic utility on the laptop will let you tweak the settings so they sounds their best. MSI picked high performance parts from the AMD parts bag to create a high performance laptop that does not disappoint. When you use it to multitask or play games, there is no doubt that this laptop is built for speed. I played Forza 4, Doom Eternal, and some editions of Halo on it with no lag. The game settings were all set to the max on what I played and it delivered smooth play hour after hour flawlessly. I noticed a few new details in some scenes that were not present on my older machine. No doubt due to the powerful GPU. The IPS screen delivers a really gorgeous picture at 240 Hz, really impressive, I watched some movies and noticed no chop on fast moving action scenes. Mechanical hard disks have no place in a laptop which by its very nature is mobile, or in a high performance PC, except for perhaps cheap secondary storage. And this SSD is fast. Running my office apps and a Virtual machine in VM Workstation, I seriously exceeded the installed 16GB of RAM by 13GB. I was using 29GB of RAM, over 13GB of it virtual. But I never noticed any lag with the RAM swapping in and out of the virtual swap file thanks to it sitting on such a fast SSD drive. While there seems to be no rush, unless my primary laptop goes out, I’ll probably replace the two 8GB RAM DIMMS with two 32GB DIMMS to max it out at 64GB when I add or get a bigger SSD drive. The specs list “2x M.2 SSD slot (NVMe PCIe Gen3)” are on the mainboard. My need for more space is inevitable. Replacing RAM and SSD is NOT for the faint of heart. After removing the bottom cover, you need to remove the mainboard, including some very small fragile ribbon cables with fragile connections. The RAM and drives mount on the other side up against the keyboard, a really bad design from a serviceability view. I did this on my last MSI laptop. It’s a real PIA even for me who has worked on laptops for 20 years. If you’ve never torn a modern laptop apart and don’t have the right tools, you’d do best getting this done by a reputable tech who will warranty their work. Speaking of, there is a “factory seal” decal over one of the screws on the bottom. Would a user upgrade void the entire warranty? It might be worth checking the user agreement if you plan to upgrade anything inside before the 1 year warranty runs out. No need to upgrade Wi-Fi. The Wi-Fi 6E is blazingly fast and rock solid. No need for wired Ethernet to get high speed, but if you need a wire for the office, you’ll need to get a USB-C Dongle with Ethernet. I found the touchpad and keyboard both comfortable to use, quiet, and responsive. I do allot of work at night with the lights dimmed, so I really appreciate the backlit keyboard. It’s a must have for me. I paired a Bluetooth mouse up, it took a moment for it to find it, but then paired right up and worked flawlessly. This is a well-engineered and built laptop. There is no chassis flex, creaks, or gaps in the seams. The screen hinge is smooth and holds in any position perfectly. There is a USB-C and USB 3 port on each side. The HDMI port and lock slot on the right side and the power plug (DIN) and headphone jack are on the left side. The specifications on Best Buy list wrongly 3 USB ports, 2 type A ports and one type C. This is wrong as I found each side had one of each USB type for a total of four, though capabilities vary. The USB ports on this laptop are: 2x Type-A USB3.2 Gen2 1x Type-C USB3.2 Gen2 1x Type-C (USB3.2 Gen2 / DP) The pictures on the Best Buy site also show the two ports on each side. I reported this, so it may be corrected by the time you read this. A 30 day trial Norton Antivirus is included. I’ve never been a huge fan of Norton Antivirus in the past, but this version is better. No glitches and the numerous annoying messages have been greatly toned down. I have a subscription to another product, so I will end up replacing it. But if you have no antivirus, you can extend the 30 days by purchasing a 1 year subscription and be well served. A 30 day trial to Office 365 is also included to try out. My left handed son found the power plug and headphone jack in the way of using a mouse when using the laptop desk, which is not very wide. The power plug would be better on the back, or an option of either side. Or ideally if we could use USB-C instead of the usual power plug, but not likely with a 240 watt AC Adapter. Still would be nice if one could use USB-C to do a slow charge in a pinch or extend run time while using it. If you’re going to use an external monitor or locking cable, you’ll have cables coming out on both sides in the way of using a mouse. This is not unique to MSI, most of the laptops seem setup this way. There are USB-C docks and small adapters with HDMI and Ethernet ports that also provide extra USB ports. You could get one of those and plug it into the left USB-C with the power plug to alleviate the cord crush. This is not unique to MSI laptops though. The MSI site states that “Free upgrade to Windows 11* when available…” and “The Windows 11 upgrade will be delivered to qualifying devices late 2021 into 2022”, so no worries, the upgrade path to Windows 11 is assured. The only minor gripe I can really find is that there is no SD slot as on my last MSI laptop. Perhaps it’s a victim to cloud storage. But I still need it for my camera, so I’ll need to get a dongle, which are not expensive. This is my second MSI laptop. I paid for my first one, a beast with 17” i7 CPU with 64GB RAM which I use for work. It was double the cost of this one, but works flawlessly. Fortunately this one came through the Tech Insider Network. I’ve been extremely pleased with the power and features in both MSI laptops. It’s hard to find such a good balance put together so well. I suspect this will not be my last MSI laptop. These are well rated everyplace, get yourself one. .

Cheaply Made
||Posted . Owned for more than 2 years when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It's great for gaming that's for sure however not for anything really else. If you are looking for a good quality laptop that is going to last you a long item this isn't it. MSI I guess makes really cheap laptops because within less than a year the hinges broke with a huge crack up the side, got that fixed under warranty. Not even 2 years in one of the keys broke off, the speaker died and now sounds horrible. AMD Drivers don't install right, and the hinges are starting to break yet again.

Decent laptop
||Posted . Owned for more than 2 years when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This laptop has been fairly good for what I need. I perform my daily business tasks with multiple monitors so it’s nice for that. Lately I have been having issues with startup. I’ll turn it on and the fans will just run with a black screen. I then have to do a soft boot restart and then it still takes forever to startup.Thats probably the most annoying thing I can think of but for me it’s huge because I’m always on the go and I need it to work right away. But overall a pretty good machine.

Good Value
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Needed a gaming laptop to play Minecraft Java edition. This MSI represented a good value. Only reason I gave it only 4 stars is because the MSI website is poorly laid out to obtain the latest drivers. You don't wanto to download third party drivers.

Incredible value and performance
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Relatively slim, very powerful, well built, and all the components work well together. Performance similar to a rtx 3070 but for hundreds less and paired with a really good cpu. Works great on every game I can throw at it including Oculus VR. My only nitpicks are the trackpad is just ok and I don't like the placement of the barrel charger port.
