This was purchased as a computer for my kid to take to college for their business program. Our requirements were a SSD for speed of data access and a good processor and memory in order to run large volumes of data. Having a decent video card for entertainment makes it an all in one solution for dorm life where space is at a premium.
The Laptop is running like a dream. Put up against graphics intensive games it runs like clockwork and the SSD makes loading things a snap. The Wi-Fi connectivity is fast with a good antenna that makes up for a weak signal in more remote parts of the house. Overall my student loves it for the capabilities and I like it for the price. Win-win

I have owned this laptop for a day and I already regret my purchase. While the laptop build quality is good, which is to be expected from a 1300+ laptop, the software side of things is poor. This laptop ships with a software called "MSI Creator Center" where it allows you to sign up for the warranty, gives you access to different modes of battery, keyboard backlit strength, and different computer configs. On paper this software is very useful but in reality it is prone to crashing and full of bugs. In the day I have owned this laptop the software has crashed over 3 times and after the latest crash, CREATOR WON'T EVEN OPEN. It first looped on SDK initialization, but then it started to say that it was being blocked by a firewall or antivirus despite at least opening before.I have tried all sorts of solutions like uninstalling and reinstalling from both msi and the windows 10 store to no avail; and MSI support is absolutely abysmal and for some reason has no way of helping a software that a whole line of their products use. This is absolutely unacceptable to have no support of a software that is suppose to professional grade. If you are thinking of a workstation laptop to buy, avoid MSI.
