My kids love this movie. Wonderful story about the magic world that children experience. The English voice over seemed as natural as if it were the original language. My family will watch this blu ray for years to come.

Bought this for my 5-year-old daughter who is in love with Spirited Away, and she LOVES it. We've watched this countless times already. Whether you like that or not depends on if youre a ghibli fan, luckily I am!

This is actually my first Miyazaki film - I bought it on my neighbor's recommendation and wanted to broaden my family's film horizons. It's a warm, relaxing movie to watch that's appropriate and engaging for all ages.

A whimsical story focusing on two girls. Very cute, I do recommend it!

While it has some weird parts (that's anime for you I suppose), it's a very touching movie and it's great for families to watch together. It's one of my wife's favorite Miyazaki films. Highly recommended!

This movie is great because of the mythical creature and bright colors keeps the interest for young children. There is no violence in the movie and I fell comfortable no needing to be nearby while they watch

I remember watching this movie while growing up, it’s such a good movie that i tried finding it at stores, but no luck. Until now, I was happy when I found it at Best Buy, I bought it. Bringing back memories.

If you’re looking for a good movie to help get into anime this is the perfect movie. Went to Best Buy got it on sale with both blue ray and dvd. No problems at all.

This movie is beautiful and really a great story. We are trying to get our 2.5 year old into Studio Ghibli. She loves Kiki, but wasnt totally sold on this one yet.

This movie is truly magical. It achieves what Disney movies never do -- a wonderful story without the need to resort to evil villains or wise-cracking side kicks. In fact, two of the things I find most striking and refreshing about My Neighbor Totoro is the use of images rather than dialogue to propel the plot and the slower, almost contemplative, pacing of the action. (This is one children's movie that won't blare from your TV or yammer at your children!) And don't be put off because it is "japanese animation." This is not your father's japanese animation. The images of the tranquil countryside are sumptuous. Miazaki's attention to the little details of life, like a leaf floating in a stream or raindrops tapping an umbrella, evoke the simpler, purer times of childhood. The children's discovery of the totoro spirits in the old camphor tree recalls a time in every child's life when magic seems possible in the mundane world. As with other Miyazaki films, there is a thrilling flying sequence. However, this film is more appropriate for younger viewers than most of his other works, some of which are decidedly adult in nature despite the fact that they are animated. I really appreciate the refusal to rely on cliche villians to keep the plot moving. However, I should warn other parents considering this video that the conflicts used to keep the plot moving -- the children's discovery of and search for the dust bunny and totoro spirits and Mei's desire to see her sick mother in the hospital which causes her to lose her way in the countryside -- might be upsetting to the littlest viewers without some parental company and discussion.

Finally purchased this beautiful movie. I loved it as a child and now my 6 year old daughter loves it too. It lets you appreciate family and nature.

Great movie to have on BluRay/DVD, glad to add it to my Ghibli collection! Any fan of animation or lighthearted family films should check it out!

It's a perfectly animated film about the struggles of sisterhood and the wonderment of childhood. Reccomend to anyone fans of Studio Ghibli films
