I really like that they keep the old special features but seem to add new ones and retrospective ones on each new release to tie the trilogy together. These were back in the simpler days of X-Men before the XCU or whatever you want to call it got splintered off into a thousand directions (I dont think even the filmmakers now know the chronology anymore). And lets be real about one thing: X-Men The Last Stand is fine folks. Way underrated. Its a fine conclusion to this trilogy. Blame X-Men 1 for not setting a vast enough tone to accomodate the Dark Phoenix story. Last Stand did as best a job as it could given the parameters Bryan Singer stuck them in. Overall as a trilogy it makes for a moving cinematic experience.

The X-Men trilogy is responsible for kick-starting the current wave of popular and successful superhero films. While these 3 films can be a little uneven at times, they set the bar all modern comic book films that have followed. The only true issue I have with these films, is the viewer is expected to have some knowledge of the X-Men prior to seeing the first film. The origin story isn't really explored as much as in other comic book to film adaptations. From a technical point of view, these Blu-rays are solid. Both Picture and Audio Quality are a solid 4/5. For the price, the trilogy box set is the best way to enjoy the original three X-Men films.

Had not purchased any X-men or Wolverine movies previously. I saw this at Best buy and thought it was a good purchase. On the down side, not all of the movies were included. I had not seen many of the movies before buying it, but am glad that I did make the purchase. The acting is very good and the movies are very artistic and fun to watch. Trying to watch them in order was difficult; the movies did not come out in the order that they were meant to be watched in to get the whole story.

I bought these on sale for only $29.99, which was a great deal for 3 blu rays. All the movies are very entertaining and fun to watch. A great addition to any collection.

As a comic fan i enjoyed these movies in the theater and now have them at home on blue ray which is awesome. I purchased this set on sale and the price couldn't be beat.

I love this trilogy, the one i purchased was on sale and came with a 10 dollar coupon for the movies!! and digital copies, what more can you ask for!! :D

i loved the cartoons when i was growing up. the movies explain some things really well but other parts are cheesy. i would buy it again and for a present to someone

Love the free Wolverine ticket, It made it worth buying the Blu-rays all in one package.

Big xmen fan great movies a must have if your a marvel fan

The xmen is one of marvels most famous groups of superheroes (outside the Avengers)

What's great about this trilogy is that you get Digital Copies for each movie.

It's no Avengers, but then it's no Daredevil, either... The X-Men trilogy pale in comparison to the later, superior X-Men: First Class, but they were an important step in making super hero movies financially viable.

What else can be said about these movies? They do a great job of bringing the Marvel comics characters to life and were successful at kicking off the modern era of superhero blockbusters. Like the Spiderman trilogy, the third movie is a bit of a letdown, but X-Men and X2 more than deliver. And the wealth of bonus features make it a worthy purchase, even if most appear to be in SD. I wanted to upgrade my old DVDs and this is a convenient way to do it – especially if you can grab them on sale like this week. PLUS... Depending on what version you get (the packaging of the one I bought in-store looked a bit different than what's shown here), you may also get iTunes Digital Copy discs for each movie (you'll notice "Blu-Ray + Digital Copy" on the front of the box). The version I bought today (7/21/13) also came with a bonus mini Wolverine comic and movie cash for the new Wolverine movie. But as for those digital copies, nowhere on the outer box does it say when/if the codes expire. However, on the individual packages inside it says April 2011. I was bummed to see this, but figured I'd try anyway, and I'm happy to report (as of today) that the codes still work for all 3 films. So, if you're lucky enough to get one of the sets with digital copies (I can't speak to which version you'll get if ordering online, as I'm not sure if this newly-packaged version comes with them or not), then there's a good chance you'll be able to redeem your digital copies as well. (In case that helps anyone worried about the lack of info.)

Overall these movies are great. As in most comic based movies, the director takes creative liberties that sometimes function while at other times fall flat on their face. The last of the three films does the latter at times.

Bought this set to upgrade my old DVD's of these movies. I am a fan and seeing them on blu-ray was fantastic. Got the set for a great price and couldn't be happier.
