The reason i purchased this was because i wanted something that could help me narrow down the lighting of my PavoTube II 6C RGB Light Bars so i bought 3 for the 3 lights i have from NanLite. I Ordered them on December 3rd 2022 and were delivered on December 14th 2021 due to shipment delays but definitely worth the wait because they did their job. The material seems to be a windbreaker type material with what seems like a thin peace of plastic inside that material. Its lightweight and super easy to put on the 10" PavoTube lights. I really like them and I'm very happy that i was able to find them here at bestbuy.com i wish they would sell Nanlite's whole line of Lighting. If you are looking for something that can help you spread less light all over the place and want it to be more focused on an object then this will definitely help! Please see the pictures i have added with the green light. You can definitely tell the difference with the Eggcrate Off vs the Eggcrate On. It feels flimsy but its intended to be that way to keep the PavoTube with no weight on it.
I would recommend this to a friend

Effective Way to Narrow the Beam

I bought this fabric grid in order to use the Nanlite PavoTube II 6C as a rim light in videos. This narrows the beam from ~180 degrees to ~40. So instead of casting light all over the scene, I can focus it onto my upper body. It does the job!
The fabric grid is easy to slip onto the PavoTube, and it's held on by elastic bands. It doesn't get in the way of the controls or mounting holes.
I was hesitant to spend $10 on a fabric grid, when there are cheap alternatives such as sticking black duct tape to each side of the light. But with that I worried about the duct tape residue sticking to the light, the tape folding over and touching the part of the glass I didn't want it to and obstructing the light, and then having to scrape the tape off the glass with my fingernails. None of that sounded fun, so I went with the official solution for ease of mind, and it works.
