    The Apple Home app cannot set the lightstrip to white. The lightstrip always has a dim and colored tint than when set to white in the Nanoleaf app. I've talked with Nanoleaf support and they've told me this is not a bug, and that Apple Home and Google Home both cannot produce the same colors. They recommended I use the Nanoleaf app instead, which is patently ridiculous when the product is advertised as producing white light and being compatible with both HomeKit and Google Home. If you plan to use the Nanoleaf app only, this issue likely does not affect you.

For instance, Google and Apple handle the color white differently when transferring data to devices.     Lights are great and very bright. No issues out of the box just plug in and turn on and they worked without issue. The kids loved them so much they needed a set as well so i bought two more sets.

    The light brightness is spectacular, the way there is an option for it to match the sunlight at every minute of the day is amazing.

    I’m using these lights behind my LG C2 55 inch tv. The lights are bright and work well. Stick to surface well also. Thinking about getting another one for my desk.

    Produces amazing whites and works great with HomeKit! There was some trouble setting it up but the trick is not adding it to the nanoleaf app! You nedd to add it directly to the apple home app first. This is common problem with some of these early matter compatible devices. Besides setup, they’ve been working flawlessly through thread. Almost instantaneous response time. Highly recommend these over phillips hue as those haven’t been updated in a very long time.

    doesn't not work with Apple HomeKit only works with the app has a lot of connecting issues had to restart it a lot of times theses nano type other then the other one mite be batter unless you have the thread border it mite work

    My home automation is Apple HomeKit based and I’m a big fan of the Nanoleaf light bulbs. When I was looking to light a small pantry in our kitchen, I paired this with an Aqara door sensor and it works great. The light comes on as soon as the door is opened and the light was the perfect size to light up the shelves. My wife asked could I buy another one for a closet in our guest room.

    They worked great for the first month; set up was easy, just like any other matter device. I typically set up matter devices with Apple Home, but you should be able to set them up with other smart home apps/systems. Then the chaos happened. All of a sudden, the light strip stopped responding in Apple Home. I went into full diagnostic mode. I tried resetting the light strip with what is written in the owner's manual and it did not respond to that (when doing so, it should flash white three times; mine flashed red three times). I tried pairing to Nanoleaf's app and that worked. But I want to have the light strip paired to Apple Home; that was the point of buying a Matter device for me after all. The controller that is hard wired still works great so the light strip is still functional, albeit missing some crucial features I desired when I bought it. TLDR; Works, but may not fully function with smart home apps as intended.
