I bought this online a while back along with box set 2 and I liked both of them. I kind of missed alot of the start of the series and the first box set really filled in alot of blank spots for me. I've been watching the new episodes and cant wait for the rest of the set to be released. The last disk have perviews for upcoming anime and shows how some of the episodes were drawn. If you like naruto , then the first box set would be a nice addition to anime collectors or viewers. I liked it alot and I think you will too.

This anime is about a boy who wants to become the greatest ninja in his village, but he is feared by all the villagers who know about a terrible secret that lives inside him. So these villagers disrespect him and want nothing to do with him and he wants to change that. He has tough hardships he has to go through with teammates and missions, but with all this comes great ninja action and surprising twists that comes later in the series. The box set comes with the first 13 episodes and a storyboard booklet of episode 8.

This is an awesome anime series. I recently bought this because so many people had said that this was the best anime ever. I was skeptical, but this definetely proved me wrong. The storyline pulls you in, there is a ton of fighting with awesome flips and kicks in slow motion, and naruto's quest to become hokage can supply some comedy (BELIEVE IT) Even if you are not a fan, but you love action and a good storyline, I highly recommend you to go out and buy this set.

I never saw the beginning of Naruto and this set caught me up on some things I did not know. The effects are outstanding and I suggest anyone, even if you are not a Naruto fan, to go out and buy this set. You will have a new show to watch and love! It's well worth the money and you will not regret it.

start watching this anime cartoons from episode 1 and you will instantly be hooked to them. No way you wont like them. the more you watch the more new characters will appear that will love even more! wait till you see "what a drag"boy (Shikamaru )!!!lol...the best! :)

Fans of the TV show may want to hold off on buying this the biggest reason why is because it is uncut. This means that if you have seen it on stations like Cartoon network this is not the version. The theme was changed for the original Japanese opening which is so boring and incredibly long you may find yourself doing dishes and taking the dogs out just so you do not have to listen to it. The blood that was taken out of the TV version is now present and scenes that may disturb kids are also present. If you do not have to worry about any kids seeing this you may like it. This is defiantly not for kids.

Almost anyone would love this show, but i would say an age range from 7- 20 years of age would like this

I bought this around a year back and had a seriously problem. As i was watching it the dubbing was off with the lips. On TV they are perfectly sync but for some reason it wasn't on my DvD copy. It made me real sad. I also wanted more episodes for my dollar but that didn't happen either. All in all i say its so so and not fantastic.
