Great movie that I would highly recommend to others

Many people suggest other films when suggesting a person check out Hayao Miyazaki's filmbio. Spirited Away and My Neighbor Totoro being the most common. And while those two films are FABULOUS. I would instead suggest to watch the maiden voyage film for Studio Ghibli, Nausicaa. It is so brimming with the early imagination of Mr. Miyazaki, that with each and every scene you can practically FEEL the heart and passion he and his team put into this movie. The musical score is gorgeous, Princess Nausicaa is willfully and emotionally portrayed in both the English dub and Japanese dub. Which ever one that you prefer, you will still get an excellent story and experience. I highly recommended this movie, to all ages. It is a masterpiece.

A great movie! It's clear how early this one is in Miyazaki's catalogue being so heavy in action over drama, but definitely a must see!

It is a Ghibli, but not really my favorite. It comes down to personal preference but it is still a lovely movie.

I remembered this movie being okay watching it as a kid. However, watching it now, I can thoroughly appreciate the pacing and story of the movie. The reason I give this steelbook a 4 star is because the movie kept skipping and freezing halfway through the movie.

This and other Studio Ghibli animated movies were originally released by Disney some years ago. While those releases were pretty good, these new releases by Shout! Factory/G-Kids are even better. Both the video and audio have been improved, and there are more extras. A great movie, as all Miyazaki movies are. This is one of his early features based on the manga he created, and was the start of Studio Ghibli.

Nausicaa of the Valley of the Wind is the story of a world ravaged by ecological disaster and bitter warfare. Nausicaa, the princess of the people of the Valley of the Wind, sees more deeply than most. She is a heroine wise beyond her years, a woman of deep understanding and compassion as well as tremendous courage. With our concern about climate change, we see that Miyazaki was already contemplating our relationship with creation decades ago. I have become a great fan of this amazing director, but had never seen Nausicaa, his second feature film released in 1984. I highly recommend it.

I'm a big Miyazaki fan, this one has a lot more violence than some of the others that are my favorites

Great Steelbook!!! Beautiful artwork and if you like studio ghibli anime, this is the one to get in your collection.

Originally had this on vhs when it was titled warriors of the wind. Great movie, very enjoyable good story.

Classic Miyazaki. I’ve enjoyed the other GKIDS thinking releases and the steel book is cute.

This movie is a classic anime title and it came in a gorgeous steelbook for a good price!
