2014 version much better than 2013, more realistic

After many games my player still sucked. Each game earned him hardly no skill points. Had to pay real $$ to attempt to make this game worthwhile playing. After spending about $10. there was not much improvement in shots going in etc. The career idea was good but come on, I want to see him at least recognized as a contributing player without having to play hundreds of games. (or bucks).

I took the game back and the "KNOW IT ALL" behind the counter informed me that the game only worked with WiFi instead of checking with someone who actually knew the answer. So as i wondered aimlessly through the store looking for an associate I happened one that was a gamer and inford me that her information was wrong so she GRUDGINGLY exchanged it for me ... the new one works fine.

It's a good game by not great. Preferred 2K13 over this one.

My husband was able to play this game for about a half hour before it just quit playing. We even exchanged it and tried again with the same problem. A simple google search revealed many problems with the game. What a shame!

I like the game a lot! I love the music you can hear while you are in set up mode. For those who play and follow the series every year noticed how turrible the music that was selected for 2k13. It was bad and in bad taste from the person who selected those songs! But the music is great on 2k14! The game is great as usual!

I went ahead and got it for PS3 even though I plan on getting a PS4 too. It's not a big leap in graphics or interface, but some player models were redone and the collision detection is awesome! Overall gameplay is way better than 2K13, and the controls have changed for the better I think. How much better the graphics will be on this game on PS4 will be my deciding factor for how soon I get a PS4......

This game in my opinion is the greatest basketball sim to be made in some time. The gameplay and the authenticity of how players move is really well done. The Lebron mode is fun as well if you want a change of pace. I recommend this game!

Another great basketball game from 2K sports. I really enjoyed the different game modes 2K14 has to offer. I do not really like how my player is set up however but other than that good game. Graphics are average.

If you are looking for a basketball game on ps3, this is your only choice

The game is fun. Play online against a lot of players. It is a fun game if you like to play sports games. It is a game that doesn't change much each year but the game is still fun especially if you like sports.

My nephew loves this game, practically everything about it, I however find that the background music is awful. I do like the songs in general when driving in my car, but these particular songs do not sound very basketball to me. There is no inspiration in any of the songs - they are not happy. One example is Phil Collins - In the Air Tonight....That song when watching or playing basketball makes me want to quit and sleep. How about some upbeat and hip music.. Maybe the makers of the game should have read that article first.

-Controls take a while to figure out, but are easily learned. -The better your player skill gets, the more dribbles, dunks, etc are unlocked - My Player is challenging enough to keep you playing but not so difficult that you stop. - Some older music on it, i do not perfer rap but it seemed like a short loop. - Could have made some minor things better, but basketball is the overall goal, which is done really well.

This game is awesome! The graphics are great and the soundtrack is amazing! The ratings of players are pretty accurate as well.

Definite improvement over last year's offering. The only reason it isn't a 5 is because I have the PS4 offering.

bought this game for my son, and he loves it. Plays online with his friends , and enjoys the career mode.

Great game overall, few glitches and stuff here and there but it's really fun :)

I was hoping to get more functionality out of the game, but its not much different from the 2013 version. I guess if you have xbox one or PS4, there is more functionality. For a different example Madden 25 on PS3 is a lot better than last years version. So I was disappointed. I should have just kept 2013 version.
