Had high hopes for this but it's loud and gets lost frequently.

The Neato Botvac picks up even the fine dust and dirt. I sometimes have problems with the wifi and wish the site was easier to use.

Can’t explain how relieved I am that the dog hair is back under control. No more balls of dog hair on the floor. Gotta clean out the bin everyday and the sensor get dirty a lot but it’s worth not vacuuming every single day.

I do still think the Roomba 980 is the best robot vac out there, but for half the price, had to go with Neato again.

I didn’t realize how much was left on the floor until you go to empty this vacuum out. This Neato vacuum has a remarkable ability to find the smallest particles and capture those. We’ve named it “Nelly” the neato vacuum

Works good but will get caught up at times especially like Christmas trees and under beds

Love having this little guy to help clean up after 2 kids. I'm amazed how much stuff is in the bin after it's done cleaning.

We chose to buy this older model and we don't regret it. Does a reasonably good job. The bin needs to be emptied a bit more frequently than I'd like but I like that the pattern isn't random and you can see where it's been.

It picks up dust very well on carpet and wooden floor. Covers the corner really well. Highly recommended

Set to run at 2am daily to collect dog hair mainly but works great! Sensors on unit prevent it from falling downstairs! No setup needed. It does everything to clean

I used to be a huge fan of Neato, but as they have come out with "better" products, their quality has really gone downhill and the functions that are driving a higher price just make the product less functional. The floor plan mapping is supposed to be the be all in robotic vacuums, but the one caveat is that it has to be able to do the whole house in one go to map properly. Instead of just driving around and doing a map without cleaning, it has to clean, which takes longer and makes it more error prone. So at the end of the day all the robot does is create headaches instead of actually being the helper it is supposed to be. Don't buy Neato - lots of competition now with less expensive and better functioning devices.

Unlike the roomba that will run randomly into furniture and walls this robotic vacuum with scan the room before intelligently beginning the process. I recommend watching YouTube videos before deciding.

Set it and forget it. Cleans the floors and all you have to do is empty the filter! Neato Robobics - Botvac

My older Neato is an XV-21. Ok, but this is much improved. Better docking and app connected. I like how I can see what it has vacuumed. It is also much more powerful. I like the eco and turbo setting as well.

This is my third Neato vacuum. My house is rather large and I get it vacuumed a lot faster with three. I tried the I robot which went around in circles. The Neato is very organized on it’s cleaning.

The vacuum picks up well but, it has trouble finding it's charging point. If the battery runs low, it just stops wherever it dies and you must carry it back to the charging point. The app works fairly well but, is limited in capability. The first problem is that the vacuum we bought cannot detect stairs (going down). In all fairness, the vacuum came with magnetic strips that can be put out to tell the vacuum not to go past but, never expected it to be that poorly designed. One would expect nearly a $900 vacuum would have more "logic". Needless to say, it "drove" down the steps and broke. We sent it in for repair where our challenges continued. It cost $50 just to get a Fed Ex return label to send it in for repair; we didn't see any other option nor did we see an option to return it for normal warranty repair (since it couldn't detect stairs). We shipped it back and then found out that the repair company was running 10-20 days behind. Long story short, it cost us an additional $45 to have the vacuum repaired and returned and a month of waiting. Nice idea but, we expected more.

I spent many hours reading the reviews on multiple sites for the Neato Connected and Roomba 980. What ultimately swayed me to the Neato was the ability to work in the dark, the suction power as reviewed on CNET, and the $200 lower price tag. Many reviews on the Neato indicated that you need to 'Neato proof' your house-- some reviews even claimed the product is not ready for prime time. I decided to purchase but wasn't expecting the Neato Connected to work s good as the product suggested. To my pleasant surprise, it works excellent! I have a 2 story home and thanks to my wife, I believe the floor plan is on the more complex side as it relates to furnishings and placement thereof. The only 'Neato proofing' I did was pick up the dog toys. Out of the box 'Rosie' scanned the first room and began to work. She completed 3/4 of the main level and then returned to her station to charge (about 2 hours) and then resumed right where she left off. Since then, she has cleaned about a dozen times and only didn't complete twice when she stumbled on some dog toys- obviously not her fault. I cleared the obstruction, pressed resume, and off she went! For reference, my BotVac Connected was running software version 2.0 out of the box. From my experience thus far, here are some tips: - when setting up, if the WiFi process hangs at connecting to your network, simply restart the process a second time and all works well _ base station placement should be at least 3 inches from any obstacles or furniture-- If too close, Rose may not see the station and may not make it back when she re-enters the room to dock - 'Neato proofing' just needs the floor to be clear of obstructions like dog toys or other things that could be sucked up - obstacles like furniture, pillows, dog mats, rugs, etc are fine - if you pause her or clear an obstruction, make sure you put her in the same spot/direction as you found her-- this way she'll still know where she is at - adjust any furniture placement to allow Rosie enough width to enter otherwise, of course, she won't be able to clean that space Two observations: - if the floor plan changes during her cleaning, i.e., the wife decides to close a door to a room that Rosie hasn't yet made it to, chances are that Rosie saw that open room during her continuous scanning and she will spend a bit of time trying to figure why she can't go there due to the new wall that appeared. - we have some angled/sloping legs on some of the furniture and sometimes she will ride up on to them. This generally then causes her to appear to regain her location... She does circles for a few minutes and then resumes as normal All in all, I have no complaints with the Rosie. The app is, however, limited. No stats available -- only basic settings. Alerts seem to only be active for finished cleaning. I have the full dust bin and others turned on, but haven't got any. If she does get caught and you are not at home, you can open the app and see she has an error. When you click on the error you can see she is asking her brushes to be cleared-- this should be sent via text.

vacuum had excellent suction and was quieter than my Roomba; however, during the first week the vac continued to have navigation problems..... "clear my path" message came up very often. Best Buy had an excellent promotional price, but the vac wasn't a bargain if it couldn't navigate my home
