I've had the Neato Robotics - Botvac Connected App-Controlled Self-Charging Robot Vacuum for a few weeks now and it has been wonderful. I have 2 dogs in the house, 1 of which that sheds constantly and I'm now finally able to keep my floors looking clean every day. I'm amazed every day at how much hair and dirt are in the dirt bin when it finishes.I've had a little trouble with it getting stuck, but it is usually my fault for having missed picking up a toy or a wayward dryer sheet. I hope this thing last a long time because I don't know what I would do without it now. I'm going to recommend this to several family members. If I catch it on sale again, I might even buy it for them.

The vacuum is great. It cleans under everything and does its job well. It requires a little bit of a change on how you do things (removing socks from the floor, small rugs should be moved) but other than that I've had very little problems. The only issue I've had is the light going out on its right side and also changing the brush can be a pain. Over all, it's a great product and my favorite part is how it keeps you updated on your phone through its online app.

This vacuum works great, and is a huge timesaver. It can be told to start working with alexa. The app is easy to use and you can track its battery use. It can clean overnight, in the dark, and the lidar works well to avoid obstacles. If it ever does get stuck, dont move it after you unstick it, because then it wont find its home. You also need to dump the bin after every cleaning- all the bins on these robot vacuums are small. Id buy one for every floor. We named ours bandito gulag- bandito because its a neato, and gulag because thats where it sends the dirt and doghair!! One downside- it doesnt do shag rugs. It does normal carpet and rugs and hard floors very well though.

I like the neato botvac connected because it vacuums well. The only cons is it gets stucked easily and the robot does not look like it is built well. The plastic looks cheap.

Really surpassed expectations! This thing really sucks, in a good way! Never knew how dusty our dark hardwood floors were until we got this vacuum. Only negative is that it's mapping seems somewhat inconsistent. Sometimes it cleans the whole house, sometimes it doesn't. Occasionally, it won't be able to find it's charging base once finished. Despite this, I am extremely happy with this purchase.

Purchased before Christmas on sale. This is our first robot vacuum, so this is not a comparison. It has performed very well. Our main floor floorplan and furniture arrangement are complicated with lots of furniture and angled walls, as well as 3 kinds of flooring and area rugs. I have placed the dock under a piece of furniture, not along a 3 ft clear section of wall as the manual recommends; we don’t have a clear section of wall that’s not in a traffic area. It finds the dock without issue. It did get stuck under a couple of easy chairs, the springs hang down and it wedges under there. I made two wood boxes and put them under the chairs; not noticeable and they block the vac. Since I’ve blocked the area under the chairs, it hasn’t gotten stuck. When stuck, the app shows where it is. It picks up pet hair really well, but only on turbo mode, not on econ. The bin is easy to empty. The wifi has been very stable, and was easy to set up. The app works well, and the coverage map is nice. The cats don’t mind it. The house looks a lot better with more frequent vacuuming. Issues making this 4 star: 1. Contacts on back by exhaust vent get dusty, and sometimes need to be wiped off to make contact so it can charge. 2. Would be nice to have stored map that I could mark virtual walls. They have that in the new model. Not enough for me to wish I had that though, especially for a price difference of $400. 3. Shiny surface shows dust (nitpicking here) Overall, very pleased with the Neato after 2 months of use.

I often read and view reviews before making a major purchase (these robots dont come cheap). After owning this for a little over a week now and using it daily, here's what I have come to determine: Pros: - Navigation is superior (Robot vacuums in my opinion should have some for of navigation, whether laser, camera, or "north star" method); bump and random turns are inefficient - D-shaped design - allows for better reach on corners - Wider brush versus the round competitor; effective combo brush tool - Wifi Connected - allows basic voice controlled command via Alexa, etc. - Simple App - lets you know the status of bot, if in trouble, area cleaned, etc - Suction is more powerful that I originally thought for the size. Cons: - D-Shaped designed, tend to get caught in tighter spaces versus round design - Small dust bin, often times need emptying - spinning corner brush has a shorter reacjh versus the round competitor I highly recommend this robot!

I looked at several robotic vacuums and reviews before i purchased my Neato. Overall it navigates around different terrain well and pick up dog hair very well. I have it set on full vacuum strength (not eco mode) and it is loud, but i feel that was to be expected...it IS a vacuum!

The Neato Botvac is a quality vacuum. We’ve been very impressed with the performance. Our only minor issues with the unit is it reverts back to turbo mode (vs eco mode) every time it you start a new cleaning sequence. It would be nice if it could be programmed to hold last selection. In addition, it doesn’t seem to return to base when battery gets low without intervention. You have to manually pause the sequence and select return to base. Nether issue would deter me from promoting the vacuum. It’s a bit expensive, but thus far is proving to be well worth the investment.

This little robot is really great. I have enjoyed it helping keep our home clean. The only problem I have with it is it seems to get hung up and confused sometimes as to what is around it. It will sometimes stop and send a message that it's stuck when there is Nothing around it. My wife and kids breed cats to save for college, so there's a Lot for it to do, and it has made a wonderful difference in our home and reduced the cat hair exponentially. (Cats freaked at first, but don't care now) I have another machine for my office thats dumb but doesn't seem to get hung up as much. There's not as Much There for it to get hung up on, but I have to wonder. I appreciate the easy access to the wastes bin and that the digital display tells you specifically why it's stopped. I would recommend it to a friend, and would just caution about the frustrating hangups. Overall a good machine.

I did much research just in wanting to know if there was a botvac out there that did more than bounce off walls at random in a no sense pattern. That's how I found Neato, read many reviews, watched many videos, it cleaned in a pattern much like I cut my grass, ha. The big thing for me was to see if it returned to the base, it did yay. If the bot starts at base it will return, if you spot clean away from base it returns to where it started. Many ideas out there to help extend filter life. Over all very happy. My floors are open and wood, with carpet in bedrooms, which I do individually and close doors to keep it in the rooms I want done, haven't used the strips. If in a big room it thirds it into sections, but hits everything. First run might look awkward but after that it should stick to a normal pattern. Much more to say, I bought on sale at BB which sweetened the deal and would highly recommend.

Granted, I had a little difficulty setting up the app (you must turn off the phones ability to switch from 2.4mhz to 5mhz--Neato only functions correctly on 2.4mhz), but worked great once online. I bet me & my wife watched it for over an hour to see if it would get stuck. No problems! I will have to order additional boundary for it. Skip the delay & order an additional set.

Bought this vaccuum for my son as a house warming gift. He has a dog, a copious shedder and very little time during the week to clean the floors. Set this sweeper up and let it run. Takes a little time to learn the layout, has trouble if you have a shag rug about. Use the magnetic strips and mark the boundary of things and places not to be touched by this vaccuum and it works wonderfully well. Takes about a hour to clean a little over 1000sq.ft. Does not need to recharge for one cleaning and then goes back to its cradle. Empty the bin and wipe the sensors as needed. And your home is always clean.

The price tag is hefty but this little vacuum is great! I suspect the older models do just as good of a job and the wifi connectivity isn't worth the price jump. It does a great job picking up dirt and pet hair that seem hidden until it ends up in the dust bin. This new model does have some issues with sometimes not charging when at the base station or wifi connection issues and needs to be reset once in a while. But overall- it's still a great time saver in my life.

I set the schedule so it starts cleaning a couple times a week and that prompts me to declutter and dust and all that. Maybe the best thing about these robotic vacuums is that they vacuum the vile dust bunnies under beds and furniture. It texts me when it gets stuck and when it’s done with a map of the cleaning coverage. Also when I emptied the bin, it helped me to find game pieces, missing screws, and goldfish (crackers) that proved that my kid was eating in bed. The manual mode is fun, but I use it less than I thought I would. I love this thing.

So I had the Neato D80 robotic vacuum for a year before i bought this one. I thought that model was a really good vacuum. I had done my research before buying - I needed lots of help because I have a big German Shepherd that sheds constantly. I used it everyday because I have Dog Hair everyday. Bought the extended warranty because I use this every day. It finally died just before a year was up - assuming it was the battery. I returned it to Best Buy for repair - to my surprise they instructed me to get a new replacement vacuum. They didn't have the Neato at that location but recommended the Roomba 655 because it is for Pet Hair also. I didn't feel like driving so took a chance and put it to the test. I HATED it! It was not as predictable as the Neato on Coverage Pattern. The bin for hair is much smaller and filled up really fast. Within an hour the bin was full but the robot ran for 4 hrs so was almost useless unless you would be there to keep dumping it. Also, I found it hard to clean overall than the Neato. I bought the Neato Connected this time and to my surprise, it had a better filter! My only gripe with the D80 was the filter was not as easy to clean - i actually would use a small hose vacuum to clean it before putting it back in. On the new one, there is a mesh over the filter and you can remove any stuck hair with a finger swipe - super easy!. It also looks cooler! On carpet the Neato wins too - it looks like i vacuumed it with an upright when finished - the roomba was not as powerful and did not leave the freshly vacuumed look. I also have a lot of square footage downstairs - maybe 1200 square feet or so, both carpet, hardwood, tile, and rugs. The Neato will clean for an hour or so, go and dock and recharge, then continue until it finishes downstairs. It sends me an alert when it finishes cleaning. How cool is that?

The Neato has only run 2 times so far in a 1,200 square foot first floor on my home but the coverage has been spot on (seen in the coverage maps that get produced after each cleaning). Also, the dust bin really filled up the first time and had a good amount the 2nd time (a week later). Nice to have the home vacuumed while out of the house. Setup was pretty simple (there were a couple of glitches in app where you could not tell if connected or not) but I'm a tech person so figured it out quickly. Very cool product.
