I have never been much into racing games. I used to play the old need for speed games and they were kinda fun. Today I downloaded the demo on my Xbox 360 and this game blew me away. For the demo, you get one race as "the lawman" chasing down the racers, and if you have friends on XBL who download the demo, it unlocks one of the racing levels. The driving physics are awesome including drift and slipstreaming. The graphics are great and the game play is exciting! All this, and the cop cars have added tools in their arsenal to apprehend you including spike strips, road blocks, helicopters and EMPs! This game is definitely gonna be added to my wish list!

By far the best nfs game, or any game for that matter, that I have ever played. The graphics are flawless. The only problem is the lack of customization, but that is compensated by the sheer number of cars and the fact that you can play as both cop and racer. GET THIS GAME!!!

NFS Hot Pursuit is a awesome game, but it has a few downsides. Parts of the game are too difficult for the average player, can be frustrating. For example, you have a car with equal power and speed characteristics but yet they pull several car lengths away, how is that possible? You can't set difficulty level at all, so if a young kid that wants to play they probably won't do good at all. The final downside is that you can't do split-screen on this game! I think its stupid not to have it. Yeah you can link up with other 360s but not everyone has a 360 and the NFS game or a spare tv to use. On the positive side, the game has awesome graphics, great detail attention paid to the cars, traffic, and scenery. The cars aren't hard to control either.

I had been playing Forza 3 for the past year, and when I got this game, it took a lot of getting used to. The preview races and other non competitive races are dumb (you incur more time when you crash into stuff, combined with not the best steering), but the races and pursuits are a blast. If you are looking for a fun game, get it. If you are a refined uptight racer, then don't.

This game is so much fun. You have two different campaigns in this game. One for the racer and one for the cops. The game can be very challenging at times to get gold medals on all the races. The online play is superb and the graphics are amazing. One cool thing is you can rank up your racers both offline and online. They work hand in hand. The only thing I could find wrong with this game was the EA VIP code thing for online play. If a friend wants to play it online he would have to purchase his own VIP code to even enter the online mode. This game will give you such an adrenaline rush you will not believe it. Outrunning cops and wrecking cars is so much fun. I can't stop playing this game. This is by far the best Need for Speed game yet.

As a person that has purchased nearly every Need For Speed Game since the Original for Windows way back when this is an Awesome game that stays true to NFS roots. They made a Hot Pursuit a while back and that was a good game too but this is 10 time better. High paced action that will get your heart pumping. It is fun that you can flip between a racer and a cop all on the same map and both careers offer their different features that make it fun.

The racing is challenging enough to keep me coming back for more. Yet the game is set in such a way that my 9 yr. old son can and does give me some comp. Being able to race is great, but being a cop gives a whole new perspective to the racing. I have most of the Need For Speed games and my son and I play them all regularly. This game has become a welcome addition.

Finally NFS comes out with a game that's fun again! Going back to the Hot Pursuit setting was a great idea for EA with the improved graphics and all. The controls aren't too hard at all. But what made the game for me was going back to the kind of tropical/forest race tracks again and ouf course being able to play as the cop again! The game offers a good variety of races/missions both as a racer and a cop plus open-world play for when you want to do what you want. A very good fast-paced racing game!

I love this game. The cars are awesome, the slowmo crashes are awesome, the graphics are perfect. This game sucks on the Wii, but it is awesome on the XBOX 360.

I downloaded the demo on my x-box about a week ago i was impressed what i was seeing. It hit the shelves yesterday so i went out to get it. Played it for an hour or so yeaterday. It is like no other need for speed game yet. I mean wow great game haven't even played on-line yet maybe today. they have set a standard for need for speed now already eager to see another come out but until then this will keep me playin

This is definitely a great addition to the NFS series. I wish it had a little more depth as far as customization or storyline, and it does get a bit repetitive, but as far as a fun racing game goes this is definitely one of them.

Need for speed games, Not really for me. "But Hot Pursuit sure is!!" Maybe because they got some help from Criterion. Real life backgrounds racing worlds, Crashes Never see on any other race game. Fast Fast Fast Wow, Your eyes will water from not blinking, And if you do, You Will Crash!! Just Great Game from being the racer, To being the Cops. A Must Own.........

Big fan of racing sims, so picked this up as soon as it came out. The graphics are absolutely fantasic (you tend to ooo and ahhh a lot), and the car detail is top notch. However, if you're looking for something with realistic driving physics (closer to Need for Speed: Shift), then look elsewhere. This game is better played with a controller than a steering wheel. One of my favorite games of the last year. Very well done Electronic Arts!

This is a really fun game that I believe many, many xbox users will love! I'm not a really big racing fan and I still find myself getting a kick out of this game! I think it's really fun when you have your friends get the game as well, that way you can play online. Trust me, this game is awesome when your friends have it! If your friends have this game and your on the fence, stop reading here and go buy it! The only thing that bother me a little is that you can only play online with your friends for some reason. Unless I'm missing something, but my friend had the same problem. But it's awesome for playing with your friends over XBOX Live. It makes a pretty good single player game as well. Online you can play things like cops and robbers or you can just race. It is a great game and I would highly recommend for anyone who owns a XBOX.

I have played it & I think it's pretty fun.. the graphics are A+, but I'm a NFS Carbon fan. I like exploring the cities and unlocking stuff. This game is different, but I'm sure lots of guys would really like it. My boyfriend however.. he loves this game! I just don't think he can get enough of it. He says it's the best NFS game yet! He can just play it for hours. I say if you like racing and want to see a racing game with awesome graphics then you should get this game. It's a good one for the guys, definitely! Be sure to look for the upcoming NFS The Run, it comes out in November!

Driving cars in this game is very immersive. The sound quality is amazing, it is one of those games that makes you desire a sound system. Hot Pursuit has a driving scheme similar to those of arcade games. Controls are very exaggerated and effective at making you feel like your moving fast. It is far from a simulator like Gran Turismo 5. The customization of your car is limited to choosing the colors of you car, period. While browsing car colors there is an audio narrative about that particular car's history that starts playing. It is not game changing, but was fun to listen to. If you are looking for lots of car customization I strongly recommend Midnight Club LA: Complete Edition. Having the cops on your tail does add a fun element to the game, but they are not that difficult. Police ramming you and hitting their road blocks does very little to stop you. They should cause much more damage to your car so you think of them as more of a threat than a nuisance. During chases I found myself being concerned about finishing first, not getting busted. The campaign is fun, you start off driving really nice, expensive cars pretty quick. I unlocked a McLaren F1 after a little more that an hour of play. Hot Pursuit is a very stylized game that is worth a shot whether or not driving games are your thing. I would not recommend it to anybody looking for a real driving experience or vast amounts of car customization.

The game has one of the best graphics I have ever seen. The game is extremely replayable. The game is also deep, it changes different types of objectives in every level. I wish it had split screen, but its still worth it.

On the surface, it is a great game, flagship sport cars (including my daily driver) from around the world, gorgeous rolling landscapes and pumping music. Who could want more, right? Well there is no split screen (possibly hardware limitation), you cannot remove music tracks, frame clipping when the action is too intense, no replay capability and the massive amount of LOADING screens is ridiculous. With all that said, I still love this game, would recommend, just not to those that want to play on the same tv at the same time.

This is one the best games, not just racing, that I have ever played. The graphics are incredible and the cars are insane.
