Very responsive. Surprisingly nice to have around.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I never thought I would want one of these but I like tech so I checked it out. This is honestly more useful than I originally gave it credit for. If you have Google powered smart devices and a Google ecosystem you will probably like this. The screen is large and easy to see. Very responsive to touch. It makes it super easy to control my house lights through the dedicated remote page that shows all my home devices for control. I have one in my kitchen and I love being able to cast my youtube videos and watch it them I wash dishes. The speakers are pretty loud so I can easy hear through the loud water when I'm dishwashing or cooking. It's nice to read recipes off that as well while cooking VS your tiny phone screen. She's also on the ready to create multiple timers that display on the screen for you while cooking. This is surprisingly more useful than I originally thought. You'd be surprised. And of course there's always the impressive speakers on this so you can simply listen to music.

||Posted . Owned for 5 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I recently purchased the Google Nest Hub (2nd generation) and I must say that it has exceeded all my expectations. This smart device has quickly become an indispensable part of my daily life, giving me a smart and connected experience in my home. The integration of the Google Assistant in this device is exceptional. Voice recognition is highly accurate and the Assistant responds immediately to my commands. I can easily control my smart home devices, play music, set reminders, and even ask for recipes while I'm in the kitchen. The Assistant's ability to understand context and provide relevant information is truly impressive. The 7-inch screen is sharp and vibrant, making it a joy to view photos, videos, or browse the web. The touch screen responds quickly and accurately, allowing fluid navigation through menus and applications. I appreciate the Ambient EQ feature, which automatically adjusts the screen's brightness and color temperature to suit the lighting conditions in the room, providing a comfortable viewing experience throughout the day.

I'll probably buy a couple more to use throughout
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I had an old Insignia works with Google alarm clock and the display finally gave out. I wanted to update my daily bedroom clock from just a display with Google assistant to a touchscreen. I found the Nest Hub 7" with Smart Display on sale at my local Best Buy. I played with the store display for a few minutes and decided that it would fit the bill. I got it home and over the next few days, I found out it was much more than just an alarm clock with Google assistant. I have it monitoring my sleep, which is awful, but it gives me insight on what I can do to make it better. I'm able to view my Google Camera in the garage from my bed should I hear a noise or just want to make sure the door is shut. I don't need to turn off the house alarm to check. I use it for the weather as I live at about 3300 ft above sea level, but have to travel over the Cajon Pass at 3700+ and then drop down to around 2000 on the other side. The weather at home, at the pass and what we call "down the hill" can differ quite a bit. It's also great to answer those stupid questions that pop in my head as I try to fall asleep. Lastly, I now ask it to play "Delta music" to help me fall asleep. So far, I've had good success with that and with my YouTube Premium subscription, the hub plays it without interruption via YouTube Music. I'm sure I'll figure out more uses as I add devices to my home. Next up is a smart thermostat. I was going to buy the Lux one, but I missed the sale. I'll catch it next time should it go really low again or I'll grab one of the refurbished Nest ones.

Smart and simple
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I will still give it a 5 star eventhough it has no camera. The reason i give 5 star is because of the price of it. It's really affordable and very convenient. The sound quality is excellent and the bass is awesome. It's perfect when you're listening to music such as pandora or spotify. It's very compact that you can put it on your side table. It's user friendly and you can link your other google device on this.

Great Smart Home Hub
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Picked up the Google Nest Hub from Best Buy and love it. It connects perfectly with my Nest doorbell, thermostats, and lights, and the photo frame feature is my favorite — seeing pictures of my family throughout the day is a great touch. Easy setup, smooth integration, and a great addition to my home. Highly recommend.

Perfect for small to medium sized room
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This was bought for my wife working at home. Her office is isolated so being connected to the rest of the house was important. She uses it to see who is at the front door and back door. It allows viewing of video for entertainment, podcasts for edutainment, and music. Coupled with other speakers in the house this fill the center of the home with full sound during music playback. For the price this is amazing what all it can do. I would give 5 stars but the lack of a camera for video chats is just lazy. Even if it was addable i would rate it perfect.

NestHub Is Solid
||Posted . Owned for 11 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. After having used the NestHub for over a year, I can say that is a solid device. The screen is nice and bright and large enough to navigate and ready text without any issues. Although sometimes there is a lag between changing tasks or switching screens. The music from the built-in speakers are loud and crisp. I just wished the UI was easier to navigate and more intuitive. Other than that, it is quite a wonderful device to view pictures and automate your home.

Nest Hub 7"
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This was a gift for one of my children. They were looking for something with a display to replace their Google Home. From what I hear they are very happy with the Nest Smart Hub and have it connected to heir other google smart home devices. I also own one and have also been very happy with it. It controls other smart home devices mad by other manufacturers. Very easy to set up and interface with my devices.

Makes a phenomenal digital picture frame
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. If you're used to Google Home/Nest speakers then know that these are a remarkable step up in usability. Just having a display for timers alone makes it a pretty handy upgrade by itself. The place these really shine though is that photo display. They've incorporated an ambient light sensor that not only gets brightness but also color temperature. By balancing the color temperature and dialing back the brightness to only what's necessary they've managed to nail the effect of it not looking like a digital picture frame, but instead it simply looks like traditional printed picture. It's an intoxicating effect that I still marvel at. If you're looking for a digital picture frame then know that this is the Holy Grail of picture frames. Management is dirt simple, just fill a folder in your Google Photos and point the device at it. You can then just adjust the photo list at your leisure. While they do have light sensors for for the to help with displaying the pictures well note that these do NOT have a camera. So yes you can't use it for two way video calls or as Nest home security cameras but it also means that you can put them in bedrooms without any kind of video camera privacy issues. I just bought a number of these to replace Insignia Smart Speakers in the bedrooms after first living with the Max version in the kitchen.

Great smart home
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We have three of these now, they're awesome. The sound is good (what i would expect for the price), very easy to set up and helps keep tabs on everything we need to. My only complaint would be that it disconnects from internet from time to time, but all three do that and it could very well just be my internet provider which is why im not taking off a star. The only other thing to be aware of is the motion sensing is very sensitive on default- one is behind the couch and if music is playing and someone tosses something onto the couch it will pause the music- took a bit to figure out what was happening lol so just something to keep in mind if you sort your laundry in your living room etc

The Hub to get you started
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased this Hub for my parents to set up all their smart home tech. This thing is amazing and is literally the hub. Once you get other devices, controlling them via the hub is so easy and futuristic. I then got one for myself. This is the first thing you need to get your smart home started. Also, you can listen to music on it, watch YouTube, etc.

One of my favorite Google devices
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. These things are so easy to set up and so convenient to have. The touchscreen display is high quality and very easy to use, but you can also perform the bast majority of things by voice as well. I keep mine in my kitchen and it can hear commands from two rooms away. It is great as a stand alone device to get basic things (like getting recipes, setting timers/alarms, answering questions, playing music), but is also the best home automation hub on the market (controlling lights, adjusting thermostat, etc.). You DO have to purchase additional devices if you want to run smart home automations and your current devices are not Google compatible, but MOST smart devices are.

Excellent Hub for Google Assistant
||Posted . Owned for 11 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. As a long-time Google Pixel user, i've gone all in on Google products. I got the Nest Hub display on sale for $43 which was a great value for this hub. I use it in my bedroom and it's great for displaying pictures, streaming media, and of course, accessing Google Assistant. It's also one of 2 products that Google put their Soli chip which allows you to use some hand gestures to stop and snooze alarms or play and pause music. I wish they had done more with the chip, but it's nice to be able to just wave at the hub for those quick gestures. The device is small, but the speaker sounds great and is enough to fill the average room with good audio. The device doesn't come with a camera though, which you may consider to be a good thing, but of course that means that you can't use any kind of video calling features or apps.
