For Nest Mini to better recognize your voice commands, we recommend retraining it using the Voice Match feature and adjusting the sensitivity of the Google Assistant to your hotword. Here's how:
Retrain Voice Match:
- On your phone or tablet, open the Google Home app.
- At the top right, tap your Profile picture or initial and then Assistant settings and then Voice Match.
- Tap Teach your Assistant your voice again and then Retrain.
Change Nest Mini's hotword sensitivity:
- Open your Google Home app.
- Select your Nest Mini.
- At the top right, tap the Settings (Gear) icon.
- Then tap Audio.
- Then tap "Hey Google" sensitivity and adjust the slider to make your Nest MIni more responsive to the hotword.

Google/nest removed the standard micro usb and replaced with a single pronged like plug... so if you need to move it around quickly you must take that cord with it... the speaker sounds slightly better than the 1st gen but you wouldn't know unless you have both side by side... the more options on the nest are improving.. in all I'm happy with the product.
