Posted .Hi Pumkin, thanks for posting your review about your Nest Mini. We can see that you're experiencing some difficulties with voice command and that you have to repeat some statements. We suggest that you retrain your Nest Mini to better recognize your voice as this may help with voice control. We also suggest adjusting the Hotword sensitivity as it may also be helpful with the issue. You may follow the steps below to help improve your experience:
Retrain Voice Match:
- On your phone or tablet, open the Google Home app.
- At the top right, tap your Profile picture or initial and then Assistant settings and then Voice Match.
- Tap Teach your Assistant your voice again and then Retrain.
Change Nest Mini's Hotword sensitivity:
- Open your Google Home app.
- Select your Nest Mini.
- At the top right, tap the Settings (Gear) icon.
- Then tap Audio.
- Then tap "Hey Google" sensitivity and adjust the slider to make your Nest Mini more responsive to the Hotword.

That said, if you’re truly interested in getting a nest item, I would recommend the full Google Nest Hub. Nothing beats the hub’s screen. The nest mini is great if you have a larger home, have both a hub and mini, and would like to put them in different rooms.

We have5 of theses minis and have had no problems. Very useful for asking questions. Definitely a good buy.

The setup was easy and once completed it was a perfect addition to my desk. I'm going to buy a couple more for the bathrooms

Great sound for as small as it is, way better than an echo dot has.
