I really enjoy this smoke detector. I've installed six of them in my home.

Had to buy 2 for my house, easy to set up an connect online, a must own.

Connectivity was immediate, three wire nuts and we were connected. Great

The product is great. It was easy for my partner to install and set-up. The detector was easy to join our network.

Sure it might be on the expensive side but it is a great alarm that works with my nest thermostat. While I would love to see the price come down more, I still plan replacing more of my alarms over to these in the future.

This is a great complimentary product to my NEST thermostat. If you enjoy being connected to your home via your smartphone, this is a worthwhile product providing constant monitoring, a slick interface and modern look. When you get down to it, yes it's a smoke and carbon monoxide detector but a couple of extra features are a nice touch. When all lights are turned off in the room, a ring of LED lights glow green for a moment to let you know batteries are good to go (turns yellow when battery is getting low, verbal pleasant voice notification when the battery is depleted). Also when the room is dark it can detect movement and a ring of white LED lights briefly illuminate to serve as a helpful nightlight.

Love this product. This is the 3rd one I have bought but wish it wasn't so expensive.

The nest protect smoke/carbon monoxide detector is great! It's easy to set up and easy to use. If you have a smart phone it's even better because you can monitor it from the nest app! The only downside I have with it is the price. Other than that 4 stars.

We are big fans of Nest products. When Nest came out with their second release of the Nest Protect, I knew we had to get one for peace of mind. We love that it would alert our phones of any problems whether CO2 or Fire/Smoke in the house even while we are away, that is the biggest plus. Unlike the Nest Learning Thermostat we constantly use, the Nest Protect just sits quietly 24 hours a day and let's us know that it's working with it's path light that lights up when you walk by it. I would highly recommend this product. It costs less than subscribing to a monthly monitoring system offered by alarm companies that includes Smoke & CO2 monitoring.

An expensive fire/co detector for sure. However, the thing works great, built in motion sensor light that's great for hallways and the like! Communicates with other Nest devices and was easy to install! Recommended for those who like stuff like this that will protect your family

I like how the nest protect and the nest thermostat works together. I can always check on the status of the two and if the nest protect detects a problem in the house it will turn off the nest thermostat. It a great piece of mind when I'm away from home.
