I purchased this after I had my Nest thermostat installed. So far all of the Nest products have been treating me well and they are by far the sleekest out there in the market without spending a fortune.

It was nice to know if there smoke or fire it will show up the red ring color, blue show that it's test, green show that it was good, white show that you walk around in night time like nightlight.

Bought 5 of these for our new home. Not yet installed so can't say I've used them yet but they have very cool features. Having a wired in alarm that can send a message to me phone is really nice.

Smoke and Carbon Monoxide alarm is required for all homes This one is great as you can controls with your smart Phone and receive text messages if there is a problem and you are not at home

I've recently upgraded both my thermostat and smoke alarm to the Nest products and I love them both. I was able to install them both myself using the easy install videos on the Nest website. They were easy to sync up with my home wifi and to my iPhone. They both automatically update. I love being able to set them both around my schedule...from anywhere at anytime!

NEST products are fantastic. Had the thermostat and this is a great pair to already a great line of products. Get the wired one with battery backup for peace of mind and reliability!

Despite the recall issues, have had no issues with the detector itself. Setup was very easy to follow and discovered by my router with ease.

this is a great smoke detector. it is complete a peace of mind. safety always first. if there is smoke and I am not home it would let me know

So far so good! I bought the wired kind, with battery back-up. Better safe than sorry. Nest says easy install, but mine was not. Lol. I tried to do it myself, but I had a bunch of extra wires in the wall, and the Nest video doesn't provide help for that scenario. I hired a handyman to put them in for me. Trying to get them connected to the app was a pain in the butt. Before you put them on the wall, connect them to the app first, like their instructions say. But, their instructions don't tell you that you need to turn off your own wifi while it connects the app to each detector, and then turn your own wifi back on to finish the connection. Mine constantly timed out and wouldn't connect. I swear I tried 15x before both of my Nests finally connected to the app. Have not had a fire or co2 emergency yet, so I cannot comment on if the app works or how the detectors work during an emergency. But, at least I have peace of mind!

The product is great in design and function. I had one false smoke alarm and I had to call Nest for help deactivating the faulty unit and they're replacing it at their expense.

Research show that childern were more likely to wake wake up a smoke alarm used a voice and alarm to signal a fault

I purchased 3 of these and loved the idea of being able to monitor the home when not there. 1 of these was set off by my steam shower 20 feet away and could not be shut off at all. My family was going crazy and ended up ripping it off the ceiling. Online I read that steam was not supposed to set these off, people with this issue were told to return it for another unit, we'll see what happens....

You can always buy a cheap smoke detector, but this is built well and I feel I got my money's worth.

It's hard to review a smoke detector. Hopefully we never need to test how well it alerted us. Set up was simple and they seem like great units.

The detector is great! The features set this apart from any other. Nest is the best!

This product is awesome, as a cousin of Apple it is functional as well as beautiful!
