This will be my 4th mesh type router system that I have owned over the years, so i've definitely been around the block with these types of systems! Opening the box, you get the idea that google is going for kind of a minimalist approach to their routers. Something that will just blend into your home and you wont even know its there. They are very plain looking white cylinders. You also get 2 power cords and a ethernet cable....and thats it! I have to say, setting up this system has been easier by a long shot than any other system I used. I already had the Google home app on my phone and am part of the Google ecosystem, so I basically just plugged in the router and hooked it up to my modem and followed the instructions in the google home app. I was literally up and running in a few minutes. If you don't have a google account, it may take slightly longer because you will have to sign up for an account. Once the main router is set up, you simply plug in your other router and go through basically the same setup process in the app. A few little taps and a couple minutes later and your node is connected to the main router and you are ready to go! We have a roughly 2500 square foot house with upper level and walk out basement. These 2 nodes easily covered our entire house and small yard that we have. We probably could have even gotten away with just 1 of them. As far as speed goes, its just as fast if not faster than any other ones I have used. The main router we are getting about 100 Mbps and on the second node located on the lower level we get about 60-70 Mbps . So there is very little drop in speed. We have a house of 2 adults and 2 teenagers. So often times there is multiple HD videos streaming and things being downloaded and games being played all at the same time. I've never noticed any problems with this router. It keeps up with us without any problems! Having the google assistant built into the node is an added bonus feature. Now you can get rid of your mini speakers and just use the router. I don't understand why that feature isn't built into the main router and its only on the remote nodes though. You'd think they would have it on all of them. That's one little gripe I do have about these. The other is that there are no Ethernet ports on the secondary nodes either. I used to have my security cameras and hue light system hooked up to my router in the basement and now I need to reconfigure everything because there isn't any ethernet ports on the secondary node. Other than those 2 small gripes, I think this is a fantastic system! I would highly recommend it for anyone looking for a whole home WiFi system. I would recommend it even more if you are already part of the google ecosystem!

Works as stated and easy to set up. Makes it really easy to expand wifi connection throughout the house.

This was very easy to set up and so far great coverage in our large house. Not sure I like Google spying on us though, and that remains a concern.

Great tool for spreading your WiFi around your whole house. I have a detached mother-in law suite and it is working great.

By adding google now my whole house have very good signals and downloading is pretty fast

I have Verizon WiFi and I needed something faster so I got these and they work perfectly + I can use than as google homes!

I added these two components to my existing Google Wifi. I now have 5 access points in my house and the coverage is superb.

Great product but two issues, there is only one Ethernet plug and when it get over whelmed it cut your internet for at least 10 seconds.

We loved the installation and Google WiFi coverage. The Google devices are great we now have full house WiFi coverage.

Picked these up and in 30 minutes they were up and running, All I can say is WOW! The speed and coverage is unbelievable.

I satisfy with it. It might be little pricey but its worth it. Looks clean and also has the Google assist which works well.

Purchased this to fix one key issue: Wifi connectivity. It works pretty well, maybe not as well as an Orbi but it does it's job. The Orbi is definitely superior and possibly cheaper but I couldn't stand the large design that came with the satellites. I wanted to go for a sleeker look so I opted for the Google Nest Wifi. This looks so much better but now I can lose the Orbi app and use the dedicated Google Home App (correction: you still need to download another app to properly run it) and it works! If you've already purchased Google products and you're in the ecosystem then this is for you,
