Google Assistant might activate when you don't say “Hey Google” or “Ok Google” when it detects something that sounds similar. Also, Google Assistant might not activate when you say “Hey Google” or “Ok Google,” particularly in a noisy environment. You can control how often Google Assistant responds to voice commands with the “Hey Google” sensitivity setting. This setting lets you choose how sensitive devices are to phrases that sound like “Hey Google” or “Ok Google.”
- Open your Google Home app
- Select your Nest Wifi
- At the top right, tap the Settings (Gear) icon
- Then tap Audio.
- Then tap""Hey Google"" sensitivity and adjust the slider to make your Nest Wifi more responsive to the hotword.
Retraining your Nest Wifi with the Voice Match may also help, especially if you have other family members sharing your Nest Wifi. You can try these outlined steps:
- Open the Google Home app on your mobile phone or tablet.
- At the top right, tap your account.
- Verify that the Google Account shown is the one linked to your speaker or display. To switch accounts, tap another account or Add another account.
- Tap Assistant settings > Voice match > Add devices.
- Make sure any devices you want to link your voice to are checked.
- Tap Next, I agree.
- Follow the in-app steps.
- To get your personal information, you must turn on Personal results.
- Tap I agree and proceed with the Voice match setup.
- To invite others to set up a Voice Match for tailored results, tap Invite, choose your communication method, and send the invite. To skip this step, tap No, thanks.

New design adds many positives

On the downside removing the ethernet ports is a major bummer.

The mesh system has been replaced by Google Nest which I was told by the Best Buy Sales staff could be easily added. Well, I was on the phone for (4) four hours with an IT consultant getting the new Nest Points to talk to the current Mesh system. Once we got things set up it works well, but this is definitely not something the average home owner can accomplish alone.

It worked fine, but after about a year I kept losing my connection at the far reaches of my home. Then I went to Samsung Smartthings. It too worked great and after about a year(common pattern emerging) it just stopped connecting all together. So now I try Google. I already have a Nest doorbell and Google Mini's. All on 1 app so at least I'm streamlining a bit. So far the Google Nest Wifi has a solid(all bars) connection on all computers in my home. Fingers crossed.

Mesh networks creates good coverage between front of the home office, and back of the home bedroom.
