I bought this for a fair price and it finally provided wifi for my home, though the range on this router was a bit lackluster.

This is an okay router. We have experienced some occasional problems with it. But for a basic router, it'll do.

This was the cheapest router and after testing it, we traded up for a faster model.

At first I thought the set up was easy with 4 phones, desktop and 2 laptops were working. Then we realized that the range did not make it to the garage nor the driveway. Then realized that the wireless printer nor the Roku were able to detect the router, and they were in the same room. Waited too long to realize so was not able to get refund. Not recommend.

Not happy with this purchase. My previous router was a Belkin and it had no trouble giving me good Wi-Fi access in another room of my (not very large) house. This Netgear's range is extremely limited and the Wi-Fi connection in the other room is spotty. Have tried adjusting antennae and moving router, but it still does not work well.

So far, my only complaint is the shape. It is low and broad (too) and awkward to situate.

After exactly 1 year it became slow. Took a speed test June/2018 it was 102 Mbps then in July it dropped to 45 Mbps. I have kept up with the updates. I did the factory reset, nothing helps. There’s no support number to call UNLESS you pay for $49 for a service plan.

Personally, I'm more of an Apple person when it comes to routers but for the task...it's doing its job

I have this unit on the main floor of my 1800 sq. ft. home. The 2 TVs on the main floor get great signal strength but the TV and computers downstairs get marginal signal coverage.
Maybe the customer support ticket with Netgear will get me some help since Best Buy will not let me return the unit now.

After 1.5 years it just died. Nothing would all reconnection despite all the trouble shooting/rebooting and finally resetting. The cable modem is working just fine. So the problem is my Wi-Fi router. You would think that it would last longer than 18 months.

Router kept restarting after just one day of use and had to eventually return the item.
