My phone company for DSL is raising rates for monthly rent of modem. They now let you buy your own so I got this. A bit more than I wanted to pay but it works much better than the other and low cost Best Buy insurance on it, I can replace it free for next three years. Kewl looking and VERY easy...self set up.

After struggling for months with the puny Centurylink modems, I decided to step up to a better product. The Best Buy online tech helped me find this Netgear modem that would be compatible with my Centurylink DSL. It works perfectly. Since installing the modem in early December, it has not crashed once. I use this modem as a bridge to my Netgear 64 Router which is powerful enough cover our entire home. I cannot tell you how powerful the Ac1600 router part of this modem performs since it has been disabled. We stream Amazon, Netflix and Direct TV with very few problems. We recently upgraded our Direct TV system to UHD 4K and purchased a Sony UHD TV. I'm having no problems streaming 4K content for movies or TV shows. In fact we can stream our Sony UHD and our Panasonic HD at the same time with no issues. I had a little trouble setting up the modem, but the Netgear techs were very helpful and resolved the issue quickly. The problem was more due to the fact that I had not set my router security correctly than an issue with the modem.

Signal is strong enough to reach throughout my whole two story house from one corner to the other. Bandwidth is great. Setup was easy and compatible CenturyLink after one call.

Not being a "teckkie" I was pleasantly surprised at the ease this was to get going ! I have not had a minutes problem since I installed it. The price is so reasonable too, The staff at BB told me what would be best and it was NOT the most expensive. Thanks BB Guys !

I HAVE NOT HAD ANY ISSUES OR PROBLEMS WITH THIS MODEM WORKS LIKE IT IS SUPPOSED TO.

We went through three wifi routers with Centurylink. So, on their suggestion, we purchased our own this time. While it is overkill for the service we are currently being provided with, this has room for lots of growth and increased capabilities. And we trust the Netgear name - with, at this juncture, good cause. We had but one small glitch using the web-based setup, but we restarted and set it up correctly quite easily. (the glitch was our mistake - not the setup protocol).

The modem seems to work very well however the setup experience was not very good. I was subjected to a woman whose English was poor and whose attitude was even poorer. She might have been having a bad day. After spending over 2 hours trying to understand her I had to stop. The next day I tried again and got a woman whose English was quite good and whose attitude was much better. She walked me through the setup in a short time and the modem is now working very well. My rating is less than excellent because of the experience with the first setup rep.

I was looking to upgrade my internet speed. This product fulfilled my needs.

I like the idea that it is two in one and it doesn't take up much room.

Old router crapped out. This one got the job done. Would buy again

Started having trouble with our century link router and got this one to replace it. Have a greater range now and found it easy to set up.

I am please with the services that was given to me before purchasing my router. Bryant was able to explain the product to me in great detail. I then decided this product fits our household best. Great customer service.

Very easy to set up, super quick install. Looks cool, too.

Once the DSL company got their act together it was an easy setup. Works well with the computers but I think is limited by the speeds my DSL offers. Works well with the equipment in the living room about 30 feet away.

Worked just fine for what it states it is used for

It was super easy to install and get up and running. I have not had any problems with it at all. It is also super sleek and has a modern design which I love. It looks good and works well so no complaints here

Had trouble with the signal from my Century Link router, so I figured I would give this a try and because Century Link removed there routers from Best Buy shelves and found that it has a better signal strength than what I had with Century.

We have multiple routers and Internet connections. They work well together. Do not interfere with each other. Strong signals. Easy set up. Only problem is remembering to name each one differently. (duh!)

This is a great router/dsl modem combo. I've had no issues with the product so far. Setup was easy and managing the settings is easy. Speeds seem to be pretty good. No complaints with the product at this time.

After seeing AT&T's product fail repeatedly, I am happy to report that the Netgear product has worked flawlessly from day one! Easy to set up and has worked great! Worth the money!
